Inauguration of Computational Intelligence for Multimedia under AICTE MARGDARSHAN Scheme

The inaugural function of Faculty Development Programme on  “Computational Intelligence for Multimedia” sponsored by AICTE  MARGDARSHAN Scheme is organised by department of CSE, NIT Trichy on  13.05.2019 at 10 a.m. Dr Rajeswari Sridhar, Head of the Dept presides  the inaugural function and addressed the participants.

This programme will encompass computational approaches for multimedia  and text applications. Computational Intelligence(CI) is an emerging  field which is becoming more and more important in society today and  in the future, especially due to the growing possibilities of  gathering data and the need for intelligent systems.

As such, CI methodologies and approaches aim at creating intelligent  systems by using innovative and nature-inspired algorithms. This FDP  course is designed for those who are interested in designing and  developing intelligent systems and are about to start research in  Computational Intelligence. Also, the course will focus on the main CI  approaches and methodologies, namely supervised, unsupervised learning  algorithms, CNN, ANN and Regression models. The course includes  hands-on sessions as it focuses on showing students real-world  applications of CI approaches and guides them to use their theoretical  knowledge to design and build CI algorithms for solving real-world  problems.

Eminent academicians and resource persons will be contributing their  valuable insights and experience on the course themes. Faculty members  and Research scholars from academic institutions are attending this  Five-day FDP programme. Dr M. Brindha, Assistant Professor/CSE  welcomed the gathering, Dr.E.Sivasankar, Assistant Professor/CSE  described the programme & Dr.M.Sridevi, Assistant Professor/CSE  proposed Vote of Thanks.
