Newly elected MPs Mimi Chakraborty and Nusrat Jahan were trolled for their choice of clothes in front of the Parliament. Nutritionist and anti religion activist Divya Sathyaraj, daughter of actor Sathyaraj speaks up to support the new MPs.Divya had also expressed her interest in politics in an earlier interview.
“It is about time we as a country stopped telling women what they can and cannot wear, THAT IS THE GREATEST HYPOCRACY OF OUR CULTURE. There are bigger issues that need focus. It was sad to see women being picked on for insignificant things like grammar and clothes. The focus should be on their work as MP’s and not on trivial issues.
