He performed some of his viral film hits like Sodakku and Ahaa Kalyanam and some of his folk Pop hits like Yele Karuvaachi, Maane Maane & Kanna Kuzhi Azhagi at these places.
These impromptu performances mostly got several guests to shake a leg and take selfies with Anthony Daasan post his performance.
This is the first time that such a unique initiative has been undertaken by Sony Music in order to promote Tamil music and the real stars behind the music in the South.
He was accompanied by his musicians who constitute a part of Anthony and party, his band comprising Thavil, Nadaswaram, Paarai from Tanjavur. These musicians delivered a rustic and authentic folk music performance that enthralled all the guests.
Says Anthony Daasan,"I am glad to be a part of such a fun initiative that promotes folk music and its musicians. I am personally proud that along with Sony Music, I am the first to bring about this unique collaboration. Hopefully, this will intensify efforts that are much needed to create an awareness towards the authentic folk music of our land".
