Siemens and Grundfos have signed a digital partnership framework for strategic cooperation between the two companies. The new partnership focuses on the complementary products and solutions provided by both parties in three main areas: water and wastewater applications, industrial automation and building technology.

By combining their complementary expertise and knowledge in a long-term co-development digital partnership, both Siemens and Grundfos will benefit customers by creating synergies that extend beyond the sum of their parts. Both parties are entering into this partnership with the aim of achieving sustainable global change by joining forces in digital solutions.

By 2030, Grundfos aspires to be Climate Positive, and the company aims to halve its own water consumption by 2025. By 2030, Grundfos will have contributed to providing safely managed drinking water to 300 million people in need. In addition, through water efficiency and water treatment, the company will have saved 50 billion cubic meters of fresh water.

‘Khidkiyaan-Just Act’,  presented by Just Act, which is founded by Mukesh Chhabra and produced by T.C. 

The first day of Khidkiyaan was a grand event with a crowd of more than 500+ people. The event was attended by

Brought to India for the first time by Shell Lubricants, iconic Ducati MotoGP rider Andrea Dovizioso interacted with numerous auto-aficionados and Ducati riders at the event

 Celebrating their long-standing technical partnership, Shell Lubricants and Ducati, organised the first edition of Shell Ducati Riders’ Day, a thrilling experience for India’s passionate rider community. This came as the latest endeavour by the two brands to commemorate riders’ passion and establish a stronger connect with their customers.

With over 500 attendees, the event came as the final leg of Shell Lubricants India’s flagship ‘MotoSport Promo Campaign’. It also saw the company celebrate the culmination of its unique limited-edition Advance promo pack series with attractive packaging and unlimited surprise prizes. Over 25 lucky Shell Advance consumers got a chance to attend the event. The event also witnessed Ducati India unveil its official riding team for the 2019 competitive season with Rajini Krishnan, the renowned multiple national and international championship winner, one of the brightest and youngest talent  Dilip Lalwani, and India’s only liter-class female rider Neharika Yadav. Additionally, Aakash Rajshakha and Bhumik Lalwani were also named as the official pilots for the North Star Automotive Ducati’s dealer partner team.

The event saw Ducati create unmatched riding experiences with over 100 Ducati riders. Ducati DRE-Certified trainers provided exclusive training to participants for the Ducati Road Academy to improve riders’ skills, thereby ensuring safe riding. This was followed by the Ducati Open Track Day which provided all Ducati superbike owners, excluding the Scrambler range, an opportunity to ride on the track.

Facilitated by Shell Lubricants, top-class MotoGP rider Andrea Dovizioso also made his first ever appearance in India at the event. Dovizioso spoke about his experiences with Ducati on intensely competitive tracks and the crucial role played by engine oils in maintaining a bike’s health. He further highlighted how Shell Advance Oils provide protection even in the most adverse conditions, thus providing riders the courage to ‘Outride Anything’.

The partnership between Shell and Ducati is one of the most successful technical collaborations since 1999 wherein both majors have been co-learning from extreme testing environments on and off the racetrack. The transfer of knowledge gained from the track to Shell’s products for the road is central to the technical partnership with Ducati.

Shell Advance, the only motorcycle oil recommended by Ducati, is essential to powering Ducati bikes on the track in extremely testing environments and this itself is a testament to its superior on-road performance. Ducati not only uses Shell products on the track, but also chooses Shell Advance oil and Shell V-Power fuel as the first fill for every Ducati bike that leaves its factory in Bologna, Italy.

Hyundai Ranks Highest in India Customer Service for Third Consecutive Year

Automotive Dealers Face Headwinds as Service Spend Declines, J.D. Power Finds 
 With India experiencing a decline in sales volume and a drop in average after-sales spend, automotive dealers are feeling the effects of a difficult year, according to the J.D. Power 2019 India Customer Service Index (Mass Market) StudySM, released today.

The study finds a 10% drop in the average amount spent per service visit compared with 2018. On average, customers spend 5,000 per service visit, compared with5,600 in 2018. The decline is greatest among after-sales customers who are 39 years or older, whose spend declined 17% year over year. The decline in service revenue is significant for dealers as 31% of their profits are generated from after-sales vs. 25% from sales[1].

“Typically, dealers rely on service work to keep their businesses profitable especially during a downturn in new-vehicle sales,” said Kaustav Roy, Director and Country Head for India, J.D. Power. “A drop in average service spend bodes negatively for overall dealer profitability. More than ever, dealers need to focus on delivering an excellent service experience to retain customers and encourage loyalty and advocacy.”

For the customers who rate their experience in the top quartile of satisfaction (929 points and above on a 1,000-point scale), 89% are more likely to return for post-warranty service work. Similarly, 90% of customers in the top quartile will recommend the service centre to a friend or relative.

Following are additional key findings of the 2019 study:

  • Reluctance to go digital: After-sales customers rarely use digital channels to set appointments despite indicating higher satisfaction when used. Satisfaction is 875 among the 1% of customers who use a manufacturers’ app and 868 for the 2% who use a dealers’ website. For the majority (81%) who still prefer to call a dealer, satisfaction is 831. Customers who walk in without an appointment (14%) are the least satisfied (786) across all appointment types.

  • Fewer customers stay at the dealership: More than one-fifth (21%) of customers stay at the service centre during their visit, a decline of 10 percentage points from 2018. However, satisfaction is typically higher among customers who wait for their vehicle service to be completed (837) vs. those who opt to leave and then return (821).
Study Rankings
Hyundai ranks highest in overall service satisfaction with a score of 903. Tata (870) ranks second and Mahindra (863) ranks third.
The J.D. Power 2019 India Customer Service Index (Mass Market) StudySM is based on responses from 7,177 new-vehicle owners who purchased their vehicle between March 2016 and August 2018. The study was fielded from March through August 2019.

Now in its 23rd year, the study measures new-vehicle owner satisfaction with the after-sales service process by examining dealership performance in five factors (listed in order of importance): service quality (30%); service initiation (18%); service facility (18%); service advisor (17%); and vehicle pick-up (17%). This study examines service satisfaction in the mass market segment.

The study also includes the Net Promoter Score® (NPS)[2] which measures new vehicle owners’ likelihood to recommend their vehicle brand on a 0-10 point-scale.

Goa. BMW Motorrad has announced the finalists for ‘Team India’ who will participate in the BMW Motorrad International GS Trophy 2020. The finalists were chosen after a two-day thrilling GS adventure at the Indian National Qualifiers held in Goa. The trio, Mr. HK Naik from Bangalore, Mr. Shakeel Basha from Coimbatore and Mr. V Sathyananth from Tirupur will proudly represent India at an international level.

More than 75 BMW GS owners participated in the adrenaline gushing biennial edition of Indian National Qualifier. Individual riders battled out various intensive stages including hard-core adventure riding and teamwork challenges. Special tests included the display of riding capability, technique, navigation, fitness, mental alertness and mechanical skills.

Mr. Rudratej Singh, President and Chief Executive Officer, BMW Group India said, “Friendly competition is good - it builds skills and a community of enthusiasts. We are delighted to introduce the second edition of GS Trophy qualifiers for our customers in India - 3 times bigger than last edition. Every meter was packed with pure enduro fun. GS riders battled out intensive stages and numerous challenges focusing mainly on team spirit besides demonstrating riding skills.  It was a privilege to watch the riders endure, persevere and display their skills and camaraderie on the challenging exercises. We congratulate the three winners who will proudly represent India at the BMW Motorrad International GS Trophy final to be held in New Zealand.”

The Indian National Qualifier is held every two years and typically replicates challenges of the International GS Trophy. It is a multi-day competition with riders scoring points and leading to a final where top scorers compete for the three team positions.

from Omkara, Masti ki Paathshala from Rang De Basanti recently posted his version of Jackky 
Bhagnani’s super hit song 'Choodiyan'.

The ace choreographer's rendition of Choodiyan has been winning hearts all over the Internet. 
Along with the fans and audiences, choreographers like Mudassar and Prince have also gone gaga over the same.
Choodiyan featuring Jackky Bhagnani and Dytto was released recently and the song has been 
receiving a lot of love from netizens. The song showcases Jackky and Dytto flaunting their dancing skills.

 Indian Shoe Federation appoints Mr. V Muthukumaran, Global Business Head, Leather Products, TATA International Limited as President at their recently concluded AGM in Chennai. Mr. V Muthukumaran takes charge as President from Mr. KR Vijayan for the term 2019 – 2021.

Mr. V Muthukumaran previously held the role of Vice President during the elections for the term 2017-2019.

Commenting on the appointment, Mr. V. Muthukumaran, Global Business Head, Leather Products, TATA International Limited said, “I am extremely excited to take on the new role with Indian Shoe Federation and it gives me an opportunity to shape the future of the Indian Footwear Industry.”

He further added, “India’s export of Footwear in FY19 was a meagre US$ 2.36 billion as compared to China and all efforts should be made to raise our exports to the tune of US$ 10 billion in the next few years. With a large work-force available in our country, we must be able to improve our manufacturing by ensuring that we have the right components and we continue to improve the productivity.

He stated that as capacities are full in China and Vietnam, the opportunity is available to India. He went on to caution a solution must be found for optimizing cost of manufacturing and that the Indian Shoe Federation must charter a growth plan to take the industry to the next level.
