Honourable Justice N Kirubakaran & Honourble Ma foi K.Pandiarajan, Minister for Tamil Offiicial Language & Tamil Culture Chief Guests for The Rise Global Tamil Awards on 15th November 2019
The Rise Global Awards were held amid much grandeur on Friday evening at the Women's Christian College. This is a part of the three day, Third Global Tamil Entrepreneurs and Professionals Summit that aims at providing a platform for business networking and developing upcoming Tamil entrepreneurs. Honourable Justice N Kirubakaran was the chief guest of the event.

Awards were given in 20 categories to Tamil achievers around the world, coming from different fronts. The Lifetime Contribution to Tamils award was bagged by Dr. G Viswanathan, founder and chancellor, VIT University, Vellore.
MG Devasahayam IAS (Retd), former chief secretary, Haryana and Public Intellectual was honoured with Aram- Keeper of Tamil Collective Conscience award.
Followed by him were Prof Lilian Jasper from WCC with the Integrity Award and Life Time Supporter of Tamil Causes award was given to two people including Krishnaswamy from Singapore and Pregy Pillai from Africa.
Apart from this, the categories include Top Tamil, Global Tamil Impactful and Futuristic Entrepreneurs, Global Tamil Women Entrepreneurs, Global Tamil Second Generation Business Leaders, Global Tamil Environment and Biodiversity Impact, Global Tamil Educational Leader, Global Tamil Creative Genius, Global Tamil Media Icons, Global Tamil Sports Icons, Global Tamil Humanitarian and Public Impact, Global Tamil Organic Farmer, Global Tamil Jallikattu Valor, Global Tamil Top Professional, Global Tamil Appreciation Award and Rise Social Contribution award.
All the award winners were elated and mentioned that they were grateful to the Tamil language and culture.
The Rise Global Summit took place at Madurai in December 2018, Malaysia in May 2019 and now in Chennai, in November 2019. Within a short span of 11 months, Rise has established chapters in 20 countries. This summit saw participation of top level entrepreneurs from over 30 countries.
