Rs 8 Lakh worth of Medical kits to 4 Govt. Hospitals
Rs 8 Lakhs worth of Medical kits of N95 Masks, PPE kits, 3 ply Masks, Sanitizers, Head caps and hand gloves was handed over to Deans of Government Hopitals by Lions Club District 324 A1 for Covid 19 Pandemic.
As you are aware that the Lions Clubs International (for short LCI) is a renowned NGO worldwide and the only one of its kind recognised by the UNO. Our Lions District 324 A1 is a part of the LCI.
In order to keep up one of its objects “To take an active interest in the civic, cultural, social and moral welfare of the community,” for combating the Covid 19 pandemic the Lions Clubs in Tamilnadu are doing service activities of providing healthcare products like masks, gloves, sanitizers, provisions and food packets mostly through Police/ Local Body authorities adhering the mandatory social distancing. The clubs in our District 324 A1 alone spent Rs. 51,00,000/- towards feeding the needy people and supplying healthcare products worth Rs.20,00,000/- distributed through Chennai Corporation Health Department officials.
The Lions Clubs International Foundation (for short LCIF) has donated $10,000/- to most of the Districts in Tamilnadu. We, District 324 A1 are supplying N95 Masks, PPE Kits, 3 Ply masks,sanitizers, head caps and hand gloves to Govt. Stanley Medical College & Hospital, Govt. Kilpauk Medical College Hospital / Rajiv Gandhi Government General Hospital and Tamil Nadu Government Multi-Super-Speciality Hospital at Omandurar Govt. Estate on 15.05.2020 at Lions Central Office, Bhagiratha Residency, 124, Rukmani lakshmipathy Salai, Egmore, Chennai 600008.
