The teaser of 'Pimbilikki Pilappi' directed by debutant Antoni, produced by AK Productions' Thalapathy R. Anandakumar, Djiaz production' Djeasilane Balane was screened at the Cannes International Film Festival and well received.
The film fraternity including directors and artistes from all over the world who saw the teaser of 'Pimbilikki Pilappi' appreciated it a lot.
Shot in beautiful locations in France, Italy and Switzerland, the film is co-produced by Dhina and Marieselvam.
Made as a horror-dark comedy film, 'Pimbilikki Pilappi' is based on a lottery system held in France where prizes of up to 2,000 crores can be won. A gang which is in search of this lottery ticket crosses path with a psycho killer. What happens after that is the main plot of the film.
Antoni, who is making his directorial debut with 'Pimbilikki Pilappi' has already directed the French short film 'Elsa'. The short film was premiered at the Cannes Film Festival a few years ago. It has also won awards at various film festivals.
'Pimbilikki Pilappi' stars newcomers in lead roles. Venka Raj and Rajendiran are the protagonists and Narmada and Ann Samuel are the heroines. Antony has played the villain of the film. Thierry, Krishnakanth and Jeeva are playing prominent roles in the film. Kwaku from Africa has acted in the movie has dubbed for his role in Tamil.
Editing is done by Ram and Satish. Director Antoni also handles the cinematography. Veeraragavan works as the colorist. Johan Sivanesh composes the music for the film and Sandy Master is in charge of the choreography.
The film crew has said that the movie will release soon.
