*Chennai, August 12, 2025* – Jeppiaar Engineering College, a name synonymous with academic excellence and innovation, marked a monumental milestone – its 25th Year Silver Jubilee Celebration – with grandeur, vision, and a promise for the future. The celebrations were crowned by a high-profile Round Table Conference titled “Reimagining Industry–Academia Collaboration: A Strategic Dialogue”, bringing together some of the nation’s most influential minds from academia and industry under one roof.

Before the commencement of the event, Dr. Regeena J Murli,  Founder Chancellor of Jeppiaar University and Chairman & Managing Director of Jeppiaar Engineering College said, “We are so happy to see that the encouragement of men towards the development of women empowerment has f flourished, which in turn, has supported the educational growth of women. Today, you all would have seen that around 70% of the students were girls. When our father founded the college, there were 100 male students as it was due to norm and policies. He always dreamt of having a separate and individual university for women students, and we hereby assure that his dream and vision will be materialised with our sincere efforts.”

The inaugural ceremony was nothing short of historic, with over 40 distinguished academic leaders – including Chancellors, Vice-Chancellors, Registrars, Managing Trustees, and heads of leading universities and engineering institutions – joining hands with more than 30 eminent industry leaders from across the country. The event witnessed a defining moment in Tamil Nadu’s educational landscape – the signing of a prestigious Memorandum of Understanding between Jeppiaar University and the iTNT Hub – Government of Tamil Nadu. The MoU was formalized by Mr. Daniel Prabhakaran, Associate Vice President of Tamil Nadu Technology Hub (iTNT), and Dr. Regeena J Murli, Founder Chancellor of Jeppiaar University and Chairman & Managing Director of Jeppiaar Engineering College, in a move that promises to catalyze technological innovation and research collaboration.

A key highlight of the morning was the launch of the Silver Jubilee Souvenir – “25 Years of Legacy – A Journey Through Time” – an elegant chronicle celebrating the institution’s illustrious journey. Dr. Regeena J Murli, in her heartfelt welcome, expressed deep gratitude to the galaxy of leaders and partners who have been part of this remarkable journey, while dignitaries in attendance extended their best wishes for the institution’s continued growth.

The Round Table Conference, organized by the Confederation of Indian Private Universities (CIPU) in association with The Madras Chamber of Commerce & Industry (MCCI) and TiE Global, saw power-packed discussions on bridging the industry–academia gap, grooming students to be industry-ready, and fostering innovation ecosystems. The session was skillfully moderated by Dr. Gopal Pathak, Director general of Sarala Birla University eliciting thought-provoking perspectives from the assembled leaders. All delegates agreed to the fact “when industry and academia converge, India will rise as a global superpower in innovation.”

The evening took a celebratory turn with an electrifying Grand Musical Evening – a Live Concert by acclaimed music composer and performer Mr. Santhosh Narayanan – that lit up the campus and enthralled the audience, bringing the Silver Jubilee festivities to a memorable close.

As Jeppiaar Engineering College steps into its next chapter, this Silver Jubilee celebration stands as a testament to its 25 years of unwavering commitment to academic brilliance, innovation, and nation-building – with a renewed pledge to shape future-ready leaders for a changing world.
