Vadivel Pyrotechs Private Limited, the 84-yr old reputed brand and one of India’s leading firecracker manufacturers. Vadivel Pyrotechs, 84 year brand, it’s a Pre independent company, from 1945,  has officially announced the launch of Seedstar, a revolutionary innovation in the world of “green crackers.”  For the first time ever, fireworks will not only entertain but also sow real plant seeds on the ground after explosion, merging festive joy with environmental responsibility.

Seedstar fireworks combine explosive chemicals with heat-resistant seed packages and vermicompost-treated kraft paper. Upon ignition, seeds are safely propelled into the air or scattered within a defined radius, ensuring maximum germination potential. The biodegradable shells and tubes, along with treated kraft paper, further reduce pollution and provide natural nourishment for the seeds.


India witnesses over a million kilograms of firecrackers being burst every Diwali, contributing to significant air pollution. Seedstar offers a tangible solution: while conventional green crackers reduce emissions by 30–35%, Seedstar not only cuts emissions further but also enhances greenery by planting high-grade indigenous seeds, turning celebration into reforestation.


The development of Seedstar was spearheaded by Mr. Vasanth Vikas Arumugasamy, Managing Director, Vadivel Pyrotechs, alongside Mr. Athiban Arumugasamy, Joint Managing Director, and Mr. M.S. Shailendra, CEO of creative branding partner Birth Marque. Thirty indigenous seed varieties have been selected, including Pongame Oil Tree, Neem, Tamarind, Bamboo, Papaya, Lemon, Casuarina, Teak, and more. Under optimum conditions, at least 50% of these seeds are expected to germinate successfully.
