*Vijay TV fame TSK plays a content-driven protagonist in the upcoming web series He Is Pregnant*

Movie Scroll SD. Somu presents He Is Pregnant, a web series directed by Shankar Nagadevan, featuring Vijay TV fame TSK in the lead role.

Ranjana essays the female lead, while Deepa Shankar will be seen in a pivotal role. The supporting cast includes Chandru, Vasanth, Cyril, Velu, and Pavi, among others, playing prominent characters. Vishnumani Vadivu handles the cinematography, and Vasanth Tharun is the music composer. Director Shankar Nagadevan is also overseeing the editing works of the series.

The teaser of the web series, unveiled recently, has garnered a phenomenal response from audiences.

Director Shankar Nagadevan’s directorial craftsmanship stems from his experience in short filmmaking. His short film Aval Peyar Item was officially selected for screening at various international film festivals and also gained massive viewership on YouTube. He now embarks on a new journey with the web series titled He Is Pregnant.

Shedding light on the series, director Shankar Nagadevan says, “Men usually do not experience or truly understand the excruciating physical and mental pain of pregnancy and childbirth. So, what happens when a man gets pregnant is the core idea of this web series. I got this idea after encountering an incident at a friend’s home. The series deals with God designing a man’s life and fate with a wrong plan, which ignites chaotic moments in his life.

After completing the script, we approached Vijay TV fame Pugazh, and he was impressed. We have portrayed the pregnancy portions with seriousness, while the rest of the series is treated humorously.

There are many societal and political influences surrounding pregnancy, and we wanted to build a story around them. However, the series does not mock or mimic women, nor does it objectify them.

Initially, we planned to make this a two-hour full-length feature film, but later shaped it into a five-episode web series.”

The first episode of He Is Pregnant will stream on the Movie Scroll YouTube channel from February 14, 2026, marking the special occasion of Valentine’s Day, followed by weekly releases of subsequent episodes.
