Romeo Pictures Raahul, known for backing both blockbuster entertainers and compelling content-driven cinema, now lends his distinctive touch to yet another notable project. The reputed producer-distributor will be releasing the Tamil film ‘Habeebi’ across Worldwide.

Directed by critically acclaimed filmmaker Meera Kathiravan, Habeebi is positioned as a heartfelt narrative that portrays the life, culture, and emotional landscape of Tamil Muslims with authenticity and sensitivity. True to the meaning of its title:  “My Beloved” -  the film is described as a story rooted in love, human connection, and lived experiences.

Meera Kathiravan, celebrated for his socially resonant works such as Aval Peyar Tamilarasi and Vizhitthiru, brings a deeply personal vision to Habeebi. The film features a cast of fresh faces, with Kasturi Raja appearing in a pivotal role. Music is composed by Sam C.S., adding further depth to the film’s emotional fabric.

Speaking about the film and great news about Romeo Picture’s Midas-Touch, director Meera Kathiravan says, “ Habeebi is not merely a film, but an emotional reflection of a world I have closely observed and lived within. It is a story told with gratitude, honesty, and love. In a time where misunderstandings often shape narratives, I wanted to present life as it is, human, warm, and deeply rooted in affection. I feel so delighted that Romeo Pictures Raahul has shown a great interest in this film. His presence is going to add a beautiful Golden-touch, and am glad that the film is going to reach beyond our team’s imagination.”

Romeo Pictures Raahul says, “Cinema has the power to transcend boundaries and bring audiences closer to lived realities. Habibi is a film driven by sincerity, emotion, and meaningful storytelling. We are delighted to bring this beautiful and important work to audiences across Worldwide . Few films carry a deeply personal reflection while also leaving a lasting impact: for me, Habeebi is one such film, and I firmly believe audiences will embrace it. We are planning a comprehensive marketing strategy to ensure the film receives a strong and fitting release. Announcements regarding the trailer, audio launch, and theatrical release date will be made soon.”

It’s worth mentioning that the film had stolen the spotlights for one of its promising pre-release highlight of  the recreation of the iconic voice of Nagore E.M. Hanifa through artificial intelligence. The song “Vallone”, rendered in the legendary singer’s recreated voice with lyrics by Yugabharathi, stands as both a technological and cultural tribute.
