 BHAVANA STUDIOS ANNOUNCES NEXT FILM PICNIC; CO WRITER OF PREMALU AND BETHLEHEM KUDUMBA UNIT KIRAN JOSEY TO MAKE DIRECTORIAL DEBUT*

Hitmaking production house Bhavana Studios has officially announced its next highly anticipated feature film, titled Picnic. Coming on the back of the success of Premalu and Bethlehem Kudumba Unit, the banner’s latest venture has already generated considerable buzz across South India.

A Major Directorial Debut

Picnic marks the directorial debut of Kiran Josey, the acclaimed writer who co- penned the sensational hits Premalu and Bethlehem Kudumba Unit. Having established a strong track record of creating engaging, culturally resonant and entertaining stories, Josey’s transition to the director’s chair is among the most anticipated creative moves in recent times.

With both of his previous writing ventures enjoying a strong following beyond Kerala, particularly in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh, expectations are high for his directorial debut.

The film brings together a talented ensemble cast led by Sandeep Pradeep, alongside versatile actor Indrajith Sukumaran and National Award winning filmmaker and actor Dileesh Pothan.

Catering to the growing demand for Bhavana Studios’ content across South India, Picnic will release simultaneously in Malayalam, Tamil, Telugu and Kannada.

In a strategic move to ensure a strong theatrical presence across the Telugu states, prominent production and distribution house Future Runup Films has partnered with the film to handle its extensive Tamil theatrical release.
