 *Rajkumar Theatres approaches Madras High Court seeking restraint on worldwide release of Hindi version of ‘Drishyam 3’ pending proposed arbitration*

*Madras High Court adjourns matter to October 1 for counter and disposal*

Rajkumar Theatres Pvt. Ltd., led by Sripriya Sethupathy and Rajkumar Sethupathy, has initiated proceedings before the Madras High Court to protect its rights in relation to the Hindi-language remake and exploitation of the Malayalam feature film 'Drishyam 3'.

The company has filed a petition before the Madras High Court against Wide Angle Creations and others, seeking an order restraining the respondents from releasing, exploiting, distributing or otherwise dealing with the Hindi version of 'Drishyam 3' anywhere in the world pending the proposed arbitration proceedings.

The Hindi version of 'Drishyam 3', remade from the Malayalam motion picture, stars Ajay Devgn, Tabu and others and is directed by Abhishek Pathak.

The matter came up for hearing today, September 29, 2026, before the Honourable Justice K. Kumaresh Babu of the Madras High Court.

Senior advocate K. Ravi appeared for M/s Rugan and Arya, counsel for the applicant, Rajkumar Theatres Pvt. Ltd. Upon hearing the matter, the Hon’ble Court has adjourned the proceedings to October 1, 2026, for filing of the counter and disposal of the application.

Rajkumar Theatres Pvt. Ltd. reiterates that the proceedings have been initiated to safeguard its rights in relation to the proposed exploitation of the Hindi version of 'Drishyam 3''. The company remains committed to taking all appropriate legal steps to protect its contractual and intellectual property rights and to ensure that its rights are duly adjudicated in accordance with law.

The company will continue to pursue the proceedings before the Hon’ble Madras High Court and the proposed arbitration in accordance with law.
