*Dhanush - Tamizharasan Pachamuthu’s much-awaited 'D56' commences shoot in Madurai from today*

The wait is over! The highly anticipated #D56, featuring national award winning actor Dhanush in the lead, has officially commenced its shooting today with an auspicious pooja ceremony in Madurai, marking the beginning of what promises to be an exciting new cinematic venture.

Announcing the commencement of the shoot with the intriguing and powerful line, "Pari Vettaikku Pandhakaal Nattachu", the makers have set the tone for a film that has already generated considerable curiosity among audiences.

Written and directed by Tamizharasan Pachamuthu, the film brings together an exciting combination of acclaimed performers and emerging talents. Dhanush leads the ensemble, with Vadivelu and SJ Suryah joining him in prominent roles. The cast also features Vijay B Kumar and Preity Mukundhan in pivotal parts.

The commencement of the shoot in Madurai adds a significant beginning to the film's journey, with the team performing the traditional pooja ceremony before embarking on the shooting schedule. The city now becomes the starting point for this much-awaited project, as the team begins bringing Tamizharasan Pachamuthu’s vision to life.

Adding further anticipation to the project is the film's music by Sai Abhyankkar who will be collaborating with Dhanush for the second consecutive time after Om. 

The film is being jointly produced by Sithara Entertainments, Srikara Studios and Primark Productions, bringing together three prominent production banners for this ambitious venture.

The recently unveiled announcement poster further amplifies the intrigue surrounding the film. Featuring an imposing traditional doorway covered with numerous bells, the poster carries a distinct visual identity and introduces Dhanush with an intriguing character design, while keeping several aspects of the film under wraps. The visual, coupled with the announcement “பாரி வேட்டைக்கு பந்தக்கால் நட்டாச்சு”, has added another layer of curiosity around the project.

With Dhanush, Vadivelu and SJ Suryah coming together, Tamizharasan Pachamuthu at the helm, and Sai Abhyankkar composing the music, #D56 brings together an ensemble that has already sparked interest among film lovers.

As the first schedule begins in Madurai, the makers are all set to take audiences into the world of #D56. Further updates regarding the supporting cast and technicians will be officially announced soon. The film is slated to arrive in theatres in Summer 2027.
