Mr. Faisu essays lead role in T-Series' new single ‘Bewafai’
India’s most engaging digital superstar, Mr. Faisu with a whopping 27 million followers on TikTok and 11.7 million fans on Instagram, is making some serious moves in the world of music!
Faisal Khan is essaying the lead role in a new music video releasing on the world’s biggest YouTube channel- T-Series.
A short while ago, Mr. Faisu had made a guest appearance alongside the stunning Divya Khosla Kumar in
T-Series song “Yaad Piya Ki Aane Lagi” which garnered over 250mn views onYouTube.
In “Bewafai” Mr. Faisu now plays the lead role in a story about love and betrayal in a mega track composed by Rochak Kohli, written by Manoj Muntashir and sung by Sachet Tandon. Set to release on the 20th Of April, Bewafai also features Musskan Sethi and Aadil Khan and is directed by Ashish Panda.
Excited about this opportunity, Faisu says,“T-Series is a label that all of us have known since our childhood! The content they produce, especially the music singles, is amazing to say the least and it is a surreal experience for me to work with them.
Shooting a heartbreak story was a completely new experience for me and I cannot wait to release it to my fans! I hope they love it as much as I do!”
Bewafai which is all set to release on 20th April 2020 has been written by Manoj Muntashir, composed by Rochak Kholi and sung in Sachet Tandon's soulful voice.

song in Bhushan Kumar’s Mere Angne Mein
Trust T-Series to do the right thing at the right time. After delivering several chartbusters right at the start of 2020, Bhushan Kumar of T-Series is all set to serve the audiences with a unique twist to a popular folk song – Mere Angne Mein. The video featuring the fresh, hot pair of Jacqueline Fernandez and Bigg Boss finalist Asim Riaz has got everyone excited to witness this song which promises to be an all-time favourite dance track.
Sung by Neha Kakkar and Raja Hasan with music by Tanishk Bagchi, written by Vayu, the colourful video of the song has been directed by Vinay Sapru and Radhika Rao, who also directed Divya Khosla Kumar's recent super hit single Yaad Piya Ki Aane Lagi.
Sapru describes the song as “an innocent tale of eternal love and romance.” The song, a never-seen-before interpretation of the dance spirit of India over the centuries, promises to deliver tenderness, heart-touching moments and 360 degrees entertainment. Choreographed by Shabina Khan, Mere Angne Mein has been mounted on a lavish scale.
Set against a vibrant, colourful, palatial setting, the song offers lead protagonist Jacqueline an opportunity to time travel. Jacqueline, who has never played a part in a period costume drama before will be seen for the first time in a vintage classic look of a warrior princess in the world of fairy tale created by the Rao and Sapru.
Jacqueline sports three different looks in the video and will be seen in five different costumes.
The idea behind the song was to give the classic number a feel of celebration.
So there's a lot of colour and a compelling story that is bound to move you. Bhushan Kumar, head honcho of T-Series shares, “Celebrations, music and dance go hand in hand in Indian culture. Being a music company, it goes with territory for us to release a song that encompasses all of it. When Mere Angne Mein was being conceptualized, we immediately thought of getting Jacqueline on board. She is a fantastic dancer and extremely hardworking. We have delivered several chartbusters in the past. The song is vibrant, colourful, very regal and will be the perfect dance track for all times.”
Jacqueline, who has earlier featured in the T-Series single GF BF, says shooting for the song was fun. “This was a different experience for me. It's lovely to come back to T-Series and work with Bhushan again. When he bounced the idea of Mere Angne Mein to me, I was excited and I instantly gave it a go ahead because I fell in love with the whole concept of the music video. It has turned out amazing. I get to play the princess and this is my fairytale. It was a great experience doing the song with a very confident Asim. The way Radhika and Vinay have shot it is exemplary and it's definitely a visual treat for the audiences.”
Asim Riaz, who became a household name, thanks to his recent stint with Bigg Boss, tells us, “It's an honour for me to be part of this song. First a big thank you to Bhushan sir for choosing me to do this video. I had a blast shooting with Jacqueline; she's such a fun girl and we had a lot of fun. I am sure all my fans are going to love Mere Angne Mein.”
Director Vinay Sapru shares, “When Bhushanji sent the song to us, we felt it had the potential to be a forever kind of dance track. Bhushanji trusted our judgment and we have visualized this song to be a spectacle. While maintaining one contemporary setting, we also wanted to give it a fairytale setting with Jacqueline being our princess. We have seen the world in films like Mulan but never in a music video. Jacqueline’s character inhabits two worlds -- one set in the current times time and the other in 1435. Seeing this two worlds within a short span of minutes should be interesting for viewers.”
Mere Angne Mein, produced by Bhushan Kumar, starring Jacqueline Fernandez and Asim Riaz, sung by Neha Kakkar, directed by Radhika Rao and Vinay Sapru, is out now on T-Series' YouTube channel.

Divya Khosla Kumar begins shooting for her next song
After sharing the poster of her new song, Yaad Piya Ki Aane Lagi a few weeks ago, Divya Khosla Kumar will be shooting for the video at Jogeshwari Station today. What makes it a nostalgic moment for the actress-filmmaker is that she began her career in the hit Falguni Pathak song, Aiyo Rama and now she is recreating the magic that was with another one of the singer's popular numbers.
Interestingly, Radhika Rao and Vinay Sapru, who are directing the Tanishk Bagchi-recreated track, had first spotted and casted Divya for the Falguni number, Aiyo Rama. "Radhikaji and Vinayji had spotted me during my Delhi modeling days and cast me in Aiyo Rama. The song went on to become a chartbuster instantly" says Divya, adding, "Yaad Piya Ki Aane Lagi is one of my favourite 90s tracks. So, when Radhikaji and Vinayji suggested it as something we can work on, I agreed immediately. It's their idea and I'm very excited about shooting for it."
The recreated version is a single produced by Gulshan Kumar & T-Series, penned by Jaani and sung by Neha Kakkar is completely Radhika and Vinay's concept of how they see Divya, a talented actress, enacting their vision. The actress-filmmaker says, "But as far as the audio goes it’s nowhere similar to the original song; it’s a beautiful recreation, keeping the melody intact, albeit more peppy.” As the video tells a short story, Divya will bring it to life by sporting different avatars.
Point out to her that those who swear by old songs attribute recreations to a lack of originality, and Divya disagrees. She reasons, "There are several songs from our Hindi music industry which are beautiful. Yet many from today's generation have not had a chance to hear them. Recreation is one such way to introduce them to these songs with a fresh tune and flavor that is very today."
Probe her on what makes her confident that Bhushan Kumar's Yaad Piya Ki Aane Lagi will be as popular for future generations as the original was, and Divya states, "The original song will always remain popular. Our version will be well accepted because of its melody, contemporary sound, concept, story and re-enactment."
After filming some portions in Jogeshwari, Divya and the team will move to the heart of the city, South Bombay and also shoot a part in a college campus.
