*Nalla Perai Vaanga Vendum Pillaigale - A Beautiful Coming-of-Age film that endorses the friendship, dreams, and emotions of youngsters*
Director Prasath Ramar commenced his directorial journey with the movie 'Enakkul Oruvan', featuring Siddarth in the lead role, produced by CV Kumar of Thirukumaran Entertainment. This project is produced by the renowned singer-music director Pradeep Kumar for his own banner, Poorvaa Productions, known for the spiritual documentary 'Arunagiri Perumale'. This marks his first venture into producing a feature film, which began in 2018, focusing on the coming-of-age theme centered around small-town boys. The narrative follows a Road Movie plot, following a couple of boys on a journey from Madurai through Tanjore, Pudukottai, Kumbakonam, and finally reaching Mayavaram, where they are joined by a girl before heading to Poompuhar. The film captures the plight of the young generation in a rapidly transforming society and their attitude towards it.
The filming took place in the picturesque locations of Madurai and Mayavaram over 42 days. Senthur Pandiyan makes his debut in the lead role, alongside Preethy Karan as the female protagonist. The ensemble cast includes Suresh Mathiyazhagan, Poornima Ravi, Tamilselvi, Shivani Keerthi, Abhishek Raju, Maalik, Nagaraj, S.K.Doss, M. Amudharani, Minu Valentina, and others.
Director Prasath Ramar has penned the story and screenplay, with musical score and lyrics by Pradeep Kumar, who also serves as the producer. Udhay Thangavel is the cinematographer, while the technical team comprises Radhakrishnan Dhanapal (Editor), Vijay Adhinathan (Art), Amarnath (DI Colorist), Sathish Sekar (Title CG), isquare Media (Opening Credits Animation), Yadhav JB (Title & Poster Designs), G. Suren (Sound Mixing), and G. Suren & Alagiakoothan (Sound Design).
The filming and post-production work have been wrapped up, with plans for the film's release in March 2024.
