Confirmed: Satyameva Jayate Gears Up For A Bigger Sequel With John Abraham & Divya Khosla In The Lead

Ever since the high-octane vigilante action drama film — Satyameva Jayate hit the screens last year and turned out to be a big success, one has been anticipating a sequel to the film. And voila, the makers have now announced the second installment to the Satyameva Jayate franchise. John Abraham, who played a vigilante who goes on a corrupt cop-killing spree in the original is pairing up with Divya Khosla Kumar to bring Satyamev Jayate 2 for their fans. The movie, to be directed by Milap Zaveri and produced by T-Series and Emmay Entertainment & Motion Pictures, will go on floors soon. 

Milap, who is charged up about the project, says he is looking forward to working with John again and Divya for the first time. While Milap and John had collaborated earlier, it was with Satyameva Jayate that they tasted mega success as the movie crossed Rs 20 crore on the first day itself making it Milap and John’s highest opening ever. The vigilante action film was also high on emotion and drama, making it an overall entertainer for the masses. The makers now want to take the story ahead. 

Says Milap, “Satyameva Jayate 2 is twice the action, emotion, Power, patriotism and punch. Led by John Abraham back as a crusader for justice and with Divya Khosla Kumar joining the franchise I hope next Gandhi Jayanti we provide the audiences with a powerful entertainer that also gives a strong message against corruption.” 

John, too, is excited about being part of this venture. “I genuinely enjoyed the story and telling of the original film. I could tell it was a story that the audience will find engaging. With SMJ2, the aim, once again, is to entertain the audience with a story that’s relevant in today’s times,” he says. 

The fresh pairing of John and Divya, who returns to acting after directing two movies of her own, is another highlight of the project. “I didn’t want to act in a film just for the sake of it,” says the latter. “For me, what mattered was the story and the role, and I got the right opportunity with this film,” she adds. 

Nikkhil Advani of Emmay Entertainment believes the sequel will be an even bigger entertainer. He says, “John and Milap make for a formidable team and we are happy to push the envelope with a project that’s not only for the audiences to enjoy but is socially relevant as well.” 

Satyameva Jayate 2 produced by Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar (T-Series), Monisha Advani, Madhu Bhojwani, Nikkhil Advani (Emmay Entertainment) is slated to release ‪on October 2, 2020.

John Abraham - Divya Khosla Kumar starrer Satyameva Jayate 2 to release on 2nd Oct 2020

 After breaking records last year with his action drama, director Milap Milan Zaveri, is ready to helm the second instalment of Satyameva Jayate. This time joining the team is Divya Khosla Kumar, who will star opposite the leading man, John Abraham. Satyameva Jayate that released in 2018, became a mass hit making it Milap and John’s second biggest box office success.

Like the first instalment, Satyameva Jayate 2, a standalone sequel, will also talk about fight against injustice and misuse of power. Post the release of Marjaavaan, Milap will start work on the film.

Speaking on their fifth film together, Bhushan Kumar says, “Emmay and T-Series have become a family and our association together have always been fruitful. Satyameva Jayate was a blockbuster and making the second one with Milap and John was a no guess game. And all the best to Divya who has joined the team with this one.”

John Set to Race Ahead With His Love For Bikes On Film

Actor to Co-Produce the yet untitled Biker Flick with producer Ajay Kapoor; directed by Rensil D’Silva.

John Abraham is all set to transform his passion for bikes to celluloid. The actor-producer will soon star in a film that revolves around motorcycles. The as yet untitled film also marks John's third association with producer Ajay Kapoor of Kyta Productions who has earlier co-produced the 2018 hit Parmanu: The Story of Pokhran and the upcoming espionage thriller RAW (Romeo Akbar Walter).

The last time John Abraham rode a bike on the silver screen Dhoom happened! This time around, the fun will only multiply and become even larger than life.

The film is currently in pre-production and will  go on floors in July 2019. Apart from John, the rest of the cast is also almost final. “A story around motorcycles is very close to my heart. This is a story about human relationships. I decided to develop a film on riders and their love for motorcycles in-house two years ago. A lot of research and time has been spent on the subject since then. I'm happy to have Ajay Kapoor and Rensil on board for this project. I am especially excited that we will film the action sequences in the Isle of Man, the home of racing on real roads! ” says John.

Laurence Skelly, Enterprise Minister of the Isle of Man Government commented, "The Isle of Man is the home of road racing and, whilst the TT is what we are principally known for, we also have a rich series of annual races on our roads which draws crowds from around the world. NEW SONG FROM RAW "VANDE MATARAM”: A TRIBUTE TO ALL THE UNSUNG HEROES OF 1971

 John Abraham starrer RAW (Romeo Akbar Walter) has become a highly anticipated film in a short span of time with 20 million views for its trailer! A gripping espionage thriller, the film is a salute to those who serve the nation behind enemy lines and yet remain nameless, faceless and are often forgotten.  At 16:55 on 16th December 1971, with the unconditional surrender of Pakistani forces, India decisively won the war establishing itself as the undisputed dominant force in the sub-continent. The Indian intelligence agencies played a crucial part in this decisive win. Saluting the valour of these brave men & women, the makers of “RAW: Romeo Akbar Walter” have released a song titled ‘Vande Mataram’ at 04:55PM today. 

As an ode to the motherland, RAW gets a rendition of our national song, ‘Vande Mataram’. The song is sung by Sonu Nigam and written & composed by Shabbir Ahmed.

Speaking on the song, Nigam said, “Romeo Akbar Walter is a tribute to the unsung heroes of India who serve the nation behind enemy lines and choose to sacrifice their very existence for the country. Vande Mataram for me is a song of reverence and has just the right amount of emotions to tug at your patriotic chords.” 

Nigam had sung a version of ‘Vande Mataram’ for Lage Raho Munnabhai in 2006, a song that had become a chart buster. His fresh rendition for RAW is timely given the current patriotic fervour sweeping across India.

Romeo Akbar Walter Posters Out Now

The makers of 'Romeo Akbar Walter' have released the first look of the film with two posters announcing the release date of the film. The John Abraham starrer is slated to release on 12th April, 2019.

The posters reveal the different avatars of John in the film. The poster out yesterday showed John's look as Romeo while as the one released today reveals his look as Akbar. 

Written and directed by Robbie Grewal, the film also stars Mouni Roy, Jackie Shroff and Sikander Kher in pivotal roles.

As per the recent announcement, T-Series JA Entertainment and Emmay Entertainment have come together to produce 6 films by various directors. The first of this deal is a film starring John Abraham,  directed by Nikkhil Advani goes on floors in November 2019 and will be shot over 3 months in Kolkata. Eyeing for a Mid 2020 release the film will be produced by Bhushan Kumar’s T-Series, John Abraham’s JA Entertainment and Monisha Advani, Madhu Bhojwani & Nikkhil Advani’s Emmay Entertainment.

For over five years John Abraham has been living with a dream. An avid football enthusiast whose owns his own team, North East United FC, the actor has been waiting to bring one of India’s most historic matches to the screen, dating back to 1911.  John Abraham will be playing the role of Shibdas Bhaduri, who captained the side.

The Mohan Bagan Athletic Club was established in 1889 by three well-known aristocratic Bengali families in North Kolkata. The team won its first trophy only 15 years later but under their coach, Sailen Basu, quickly rose in the ranks. In 1911, it was invited to take part in the prestigious Indian Football Association (IFA) Shield. With brilliant players like Hiralal Mukherjee, Bhuti Sukul, Sudhir Chatterjee, Manmohan Mukherjee, Rajen Sengupta, Nilmadhav Bhattarya, Kanu Roy, Habul Sarkar, Abhilash Ghosh, the team captained by Shibdas Bhaduri who played alongside his older brother Bijoydas Bhaduri, notched up one win after another, making it to the final where they were up against East Yorkshire Regiment, an elite branch of the British army. On July 29, almost 10,000 football enthusiasts lined up as the players took the field. The Indians were a match for the better trained British players in every way till Sergeant Jackson scored the first goal with just 15 minutes left for the final. Mohun Bagan responded with one of their own and then it was a fight to the finish.

John says “What makes 1911 special is that it is not just about the coach, the players or even the game, it’s also about India’s freedom struggle.  Like with Parmanu, the idea is to educate in an entertaining way so viewers walk out of the theatre saying, ‘Wow, I didn’t know this!’

Nikkhil says “I’ve been wanting to make a film set in Kolkata, talking about its people, culture and heritage. 1911 is even better because it moves beyond Bengal to encompass all of India and its history. It’s a huge responsibility to tell this story right as it’s almost folklore to the people of Bengal as well as it’s so close to John. I’m thrilled he thinks that I will be able to do it justice”

 Bhushan Kumar says “We are extremely happy to announce our first film as part of our six film deal and it gives me great pleasure to be associated with a film which tells the story of the emergence of the most iconic club in India, as well as a truly inspiring moment in our history”

Three production houses come together

Three production houses come together to make six films

With a successful film already in their bag & two films in making, T-Series, JA Entertainment and Emmay Entertainment have decided on a joint venture to produce more films together.

With such an easy and strong partnership these three leading production houses have experienced in the past 12 months, the partners have now decided to develop more present, meaningful and commercially relevant cinema. Under this collaboration, a slate of films will be jointly produced by Bhushan Kumar’s T-Series, John Abraham’s JA Entertainment and Monisha Advani, Madhu Bhojwani and Nikhil Advani’s Emmay Entertainment.

The films to be made in this JV will contain films with John Abraham as an actor but also has projects where he will be involved as a producer only. Similarly, Nikkhil Advani is also committed to directing in this JV and will continue to helm projects as a producer, as he has successfully done recently. Meanwhile, other directors finalized so far include Gauravv Chawla, Samar Shaikh, Kaashvi Nair & Ranjit Tiwari.

Speaking for this development, T-Series CMD, Bhushan Kumar said, “Having worked with John, Nikkhil and everyone at Emmay, I have a very secured partnership. Of equal if not greater value is their partnership as producers. They are valuable talent assets and we are privileged to have them in our joint venture. With the six films, JV T-Series intends to leverage their complementary skills in talent access & development as well as efficient production.”

John Abraham believes the coming together of this tripartite gives an enhanced and solid platform to showcase talent and technicians which is a critical way forward to expand the industry. He says “Market forces today demand that smart alliances are formed to fulfil audience expectations. Our association thus far has been an excellent test bed from which we have all learnt a lot”.

While more details of the slate will follow, immediately six films are in the final stages of assembly and will go on floors between 2019-20. Expect a detailed announcement in the coming weeks.

Emmay  Entertainment's founder, director Nikkhil Advani is all geared up to present his next directorial, the John Abraham starrer 'Batla House', which is on floors currently. The director along with the cast and crew of the film is shooting in Mumbai. He recently shared an image from the sets of  ‘Batla House’. The image features John Abraham engrossed in an animated conversation. With this the director announced that Ravi Kishan has joined the cast.

Directed by Nikkhil Advani, the film is inspired by the real encounter that took place a decade ago on 19 September in Delhi. The film stars John Abraham in the role of Sanjeev Kumar Yadav as the one who spearheaded the Batla House encounter. Nikkhil plans on shooting the film in Delhi, Jaipur, Lucknow, Mumbai, and Nepal. The film will be jointly produced by T-Series, Emmay Entertainment & Motion Pictures LLP and JA Entertainment in association with Bake My Cake Films.
