 National Internet Exchange of India to bear COVID Vaccine cost for employees and their dependents

 

India is currently battling one of the worst outbreaks of the covid-19 pandemic that's seen its medical infrastructure crumble, Nation Internet Exchange of India has announced that it will cover the COVID-19 vaccination cost for all its employees and their eligible immediate family members. The company is already in advanced discussion with private service providers for vaccination.

Mr Anil Kumar Jain, CEO – NIXI shared his view on the initiative, “We are delighted to announce that NIXI has decided to bear COVID-19 vaccination costs across the company. NIXI cares about its employees and their loved ones, while this vaccine is voluntary, it is also one of the effective parts to fight against the COVID-19 virus. We encourage our employees and their dependents to take the vaccine and fight against the COVID-19 virus.”

Life Essentials Personal Care Pvt Ltd today launched a path breaking and innovative range of No Alcohol - No Bleach Protection Sprays. Named ‘W2 Protection Spray Range’, the product has been scaled up, manufactured and commercialised by Life Essentials and is based on licensing of the ECORSANI technology developed by IIT Bombay.

Ecorsani^TM  technology by IIT Bombay relates to biodegradable, safe, GRAS approved compositions. The materials are safe for human contact and are free from harmful chemicals or alcohol. The Ecorsani^TM formulation is antibacterial, antiviral and antifungal and on direct application has inactivated coronavirus samples. The active antimicrobial agents from natural sources,  inactivate  bacteria (Gram positive & Gram negative), fungi (Yeast & Mold) and viruses (Enveloped & Non – enveloped). The actives act by charge and surface activity to disrupt the cell wall of bacteria and fungi and the envelope of viruses.  This technology when tested on SARS-nCOV2 (COVID 19) virus on direct application has proven to inactivate the Covid 19 virus.

 

The W2 Protection Spray Range includes - W2 Apparel Protection Spray, W2 Room Protection Spray, W2 Hand-Body Protection Spray and W2 Surface Protection Spray. VELS UNIVERSITY LAUNCHES ‘VELS FREE EDUCATION SCHEME’ FOR CHILDREN OF CORONA WARRIORS

Dr. Ishari K Ganesh, Founder and Chancellor of VISTAS (Vels University), one of Tamil Nadu’s leading multi-disciplinary institution for higher education has announced a free education scheme for children of various service personnel who have been tirelessly working at the frontline to combat the spread of coronavirus.

The scheme will provide an opportunity for students who have cleared their class 12 examinations in this academic year, to pursue their higher education in any of the fifty undergraduate courses offered at Vels University. Recognising the sacrificing efforts of the frontline fieldworkers and to ensure a quality higher education for their children, this scheme can be availed by Corona warriors (nurses, police personnel, and sanitation workers).


Under this scheme, a total of 300 students (100 wards of parents working in each of the three fields – nurses, police personnel and sanitation workers), will be selected on the basis of their marks and their education will be sponsored by Vels University at complete free of cost. Priority will be given to the children of those who had lost their lives in the battle against the virus.
