Earlier last month, Josh app launched #IAmABlueWarrior fundraiser initiative to help these Covid warriors and frontline workers who have been working tirelessly to help the society in every possible way.

Leveraging its massive creator community and 100 million strong user base, Josh invited participation from creators to generate unique creative content under 8 different themes namely #ImportanceOfSanitization, #DoubleMask, #SocialDistancing, #VaccinationAwareness,  #Covid19Hygiene, #StayCautious, #StayhomeStaysafe, #MythsNTruths using the hashtag #IAmABlueWarrior and were also requested to change their display pictures to the campaign’s official logo on their social media handles. The theme #DoubleMask received the highest number of video entries, addressing the importance and need of the hour to mask up. The whole idea behind the campaign was to generate funds through videos created by using the hashtag #IAmABlueWarrior.

Josh witnessed a never-seen- before unity among its creators and users in supporting the campaign. The client was clearly briefed on Covid guidelines to be followed and denied permission for any activity to be performed on board. The approval for this flight was taken as a joy ride for the wedding group.

The agent and the guest passengers were briefed in detail, both in writing as well as verbally, on social distancing and safety norms to be followed as per Covid guidelines both at the airport and onboard the aircraft throughout the journey.

The group was repeatedly briefed on the safety norms to be followed by the operating cabin crew and advised to follow the protocols laid down by DGCA including restrictions on photography and videography.

Despite repeated requests and reminders the passengers did not follow Covid guidelines and the airline is taking appropriate action as per rules.

Demand for Credit Cards Shows

Demand for Credit Cards Shows Full Recovery

·         October 2020 credit card inquiry volumes at 106% of October 2019 levels

·         Inquiry volumes in non-metro locations grew at 23% YoY

Credit card inquiry volumes have recovered fully from the trough seen in April 2020, and in October 2020 were at 106% of October 2019 levels, suggesting that consumer economic activity has materially improved since the easing of COVID-19 lockdown measures.

Data show that credit card popularity in traditionally cash driven, non-metro locations has risen with more consumers seeking this product. October 2020 inquiry volumes in non-metro locations increased by 23% YoY compared to a decline of -10% YoY for metro locations.

Credit card origination volumes have also started picking up gradually as demand has resumed. Credit card origination volumes for July 2020 were at 37% of July 2019 levels. This decline is not as sharp as the one seen in the lockdown period of April 2020, where origination volumes slipped to 9% of April 2019 levels.

“It is encouraging to see credit card inquiry levels making a full recovery following an easing of lockdown measures. The acceleration and increased adoption of digital forms of payments means that the ongoing festive season looks promising for the cards business,” said Abhay Kelkar, vice president of research and consulting for TransUnion CIBIL.

Social distancing rules and lockdowns have forced consumers to rethink how they spend, with digital payments becoming an increasingly attractive, or even necessary, option in order to transact and make purchases in a virtual environment. In this respect, credit cards provide a significant functional advantage over cash. This shift in consumer mindset is reflected in the growth observed in outstanding balances. Credit card outstanding balances increased by 32% YoY in July 2020. This compares to a 33% YoY increase in balances at the same time last year.

Top doctors from India join hands with Practo

Top doctors from India join hands with Practo to launch

‘India Health Hour’

An hour everyday dedicated towards free online consultations with leading doctors in the country across 20+ critical specialties like gynaecology, pediatrics, dermatology

Hundreds of highly experienced doctors from across the country and specialities, have joined hands with Practo, India’s largest Telemedicine company, to launch ‘India Health Hour’ - a free online telemedicine solution for patients seeking quality care in times of pandemic. Launched less than a week ago, the program has registered   thousands of free online doctor consultations, and served close to 2500+ patients already. The team of highly experienced doctors include Dr Gourdas Chaudhuri, Dr. (Prof) Padmashree J M Hans, Dr. Nandita P Palshetkar, Dr Sharan Shivraj Patil, Dr Mohan Keshavamurthy, Dr Vishal Grover, Dr Nishith Chandra, Dr Anjali Nagpal, Dr Sandeep Naik, Dr Paritosh Pandey, Dr Prashanth S Urs, Dr Shekar Patil, and more, from hospitals and clinics like Fortis Healthcare, Manipal Hospitals, Apollo Hospitals, HCG, Sakra World Hospital, among others.

The program goes live every day between 5pm - 6pm on Practo’s app/web. The move is aimed at ensuring citizens have access to high quality care in these times of lockdown and social distancing. “Covid-19 has led to palpable unease among people. There’s helplessness and disappointment, especially because they’re unable to reach an experienced doctor. Social distancing calls for measures to avoid crowds, which could arise at medical establishments; but that should not stop people from consulting doctors online.” says, Dr. Prof Padma Shree J M Hans, ENT & Cochlear Implant, with 37 years of experience.

Encumbered by an extended lockdown, Indians are seeking solutions to access quality healthcare remotely. Technology has made it possible for people to access healthcare without having to travel or risking a potential exposure to infection. “I urge people to take care of their health and reach out to doctors like us even for the smallest of clarifications so that no symptom goes undiagnosed and gets treated on time. That is what the India Health Hour has been designed for”, added Dr Hans.

Dr. Vishal Grover, Ophthalmologist, commented on partnership with Practo, “Our association with Practo for an initiative like India Health Hour will help us reach out to more people and touch more lives to make them happier and healthier. In these testing times where mobility is restricted Telemedicine has emerged as a promising alternative to in house physical consults.” - Dr. Grover is the proprietor of Delhi-based Netraytan Hospital and has more than 25 years of experience.

India Health Hour enables patients to have a video/audio or text-based conversation with the doctors. Patients can also share images, reports for a detailed discussion. The program caters to a range of medical specialities, which includes: Dentistry, GPs, Orthopedics, ENT, Gynecology, Ophthalmology, PediatricsPhysiotherapy, Homeopathy, Ayurveda, Cardiology, Psychiatry, Dermatology, General Surgery, Stomach and digestion, Diabetes and endocrinology, Neurology, Cancer.

Telemedicine has played an important role in ensuring high patient care standards across the country and is increasingly becoming the preferred first mode of communication between doctors and patients. This is corroborated by the fact that Practo’s telemedicine platform grew by 500% since March 1st.
Dr. Alexander Kuruvilla, Chief Healthcare Strategy Officer, Practo said, “We stand united with the country in its battle against Covid-19. Together with these highly experienced doctors we’re proud to launch India Health Hour, to provide access to quality healthcare to millions across the country. Doctors and medical fraternity at large are the real heroes of the Covid-19 pandemic, and we salute their unwavering support, sacrifice and commitment. We’re humbled to be their partner and provide them with a platform to offer their service to patients free of cost. We commit ourselves to continue doing all we can, and deliver uninterrupted access to quality care to all, 24*7.”

To avail the free consultation, patients can visit Practo – India Health Hour page (Link) and choose their speciality according to the health query. They will be connected with a doctor from the requested speciality for the consult in as less as 60 seconds. Built in features like image sharing, voice calling and video call (only on app) ensures that doctors get all the required information for a diagnosis, and refer for a physical visit if required. To ensure that as many patients as possible can get access to healthcare advice during the COVID-19 crisis, one free consultation is available per day per person.

Much before COVID 19 was declared a pandemic, the Amara Raja Group constituted a Group Corporate Taskforce for the prevention of COVID-19. As soon as the lock down was announced, the people platform has been enabled with geo-tagging, which further helps the group to know the location of each of its people and offer them support in case of any urgency. The group is also working towards developing a customized self-screening tool which will help employees understand their health readiness to work.

Amara Raja Group has also set up shelter camps for the migrant workers on their Karakambadi, Petamitta, ARGC and Digivamagam facility centers. They are regularly monitoring the health of over 800 migrant workers and their families while providing them with daily essentials.  Amara Raja earlier announced several measures for the communities at large including that of 6 Crores donation to the Chief Ministers Relief Fund of which 5 Crores to AP CM Relief Fund and 1 Crore to Telangana CM Relief fund. This included a one day salary contribution from all employees in the Group.
