                 VELAMMALIAN DESIGNS WORLD'S BIGGEST MOSAIC ART

Master M. Dharshan  of Velammal Matriculation Higher Secondary School, Mogappair East  has painstakingly designed the world's biggest mosaic art with 955 Rubik's cubes of Bharat Ratna Dr. Bidhan Chandra Roy, Indian physician, educationist, freedom fighter and statesman who served as the chief minister of West Bengal. The young artist spent 7 hours, meticulously preparing the portrait that stands 6.5 feet tall and 5.5 feet wide. 

The mosaic art was prepared as a tribute to all the doctors who work tirelessly day and night for the safety and wellness of the society, especially during these challenging times.

Taking pride in his tremendous effort, the School  congratulates Master Dharshan for this magnanimous feat and fondly  remembers all the valiant COVID warriors and their sacrifice on this World Doctors' Day.

முகப்பேர்  கிழக்கில் உள்ள வேலம்மாள் நிறைநிலை மேல்நிலைப்பள்ளியின்
மாணவன் மாஸ்டர் எம். தர்ஷன், உலகின் மிகப்பெரிய மொசைக் ஓவியத்தை வடிவமைத்துள்ளார்.   இந்திய மருத்துவர், கல்வியாளர், சுதந்திரப் போராட்ட வீரர் என்று பல்வேறு பரிமாணங்கள் கொண்டவரும் மற்றும் மேற்கு வங்க முதலமைச்சராகவும் பணியாற்றியவருமான  பாரத ரத்னா டாக்டர் பிதன் சந்திர ராய் அவர்களின் உருவப்படத்தை வடிவமைத்துள்ளார். இந்த இளம் கலைஞர்  6.5 அடி உயரமும் 5.5 அடி அகலமும் கொண்ட உருவப்படத்தை 950 ரூபிக் கியூபுகளைக் கொண்டு மிகத் துல்லியமாக 7 மணி நேரத்தில் வடிவமைத்துள்ளார்.

 தற்போதைய இந்தச் சவாலான காலங்களில்,சமூகத்தின் பாதுகாப்பு மற்றும் ஆரோக்கியத்திற்காக,  இரவும் பகலும் அயராது உழைக்கும் அனைத்து மருத்துவர்களுக்கும் அஞ்சலி செலுத்தும் வகையில் மொசைக் ஓவியம் தயாரிக்கப்பட்டது

அவரது மகத்தான முயற்சியில் பெருமிதம் கொள்கின்ற பள்ளி, மாஸ்டர் தர்ஷனை இந்த பெருமைக்குரிய சாதனைக்காக வாழ்த்துகிறது மற்றும் இந்த உலக மருத்துவர்கள் தினத்தில் அனைத்து வீரம் மிக்க COVID வீரர்களையும் அவர்கள் செய்த தியாகத்தையும் அன்புடன் நினைவு கூர்கிறது.

Velammal Matric. Hr. Sec. School ( Mogappair East )   to organise International Vallal Pandithurai Memorial Tamil Enrichment Competitions for the  school students.

Velammal Matric. Hr. Sec. School ( Mogappair East ) to organise  35th year  Vallal Pandithurai Memorial Tamil Enrichment Competitions for the  school students to enhance and enrich Tamil language,  culture and tradition among the students.

Students from all over the world, aged between 5 - 18 years can participate in this online competition.

The last date for registration is September 21, Monday 2020.

The last dates for submission of the video recordings of the performances by the participants are  ‘Oratorical’ category - 30^th September 2020 ;   ‘Bharathanatyam ’ category - 5th October, 2020 and   ‘Singing Competition category – 1^st  October, 2020.

Total cash awards worth Rs. 4 lakhs  and above to be distributed to the deserving prize winners.

Several  Consolation prizes will be given.  E-certificates will be presented to all the participants.

VELAMMALIANS QUALIFIED FOR THE JUNIOR NBA CHAMPIONSHIP                                                                                                                  

The Basketball Boys Team of Velammal Matric.Hr.Sec. School, Mogappair, kept its spirits high by bagging the 1st position in the Junior NBA Basketball Championship, (U-14) category, held at Nehru Stadium, Chennai, recently.Around 150 schools across the state participated.

Master R. Krishna of Class 9 and Master T. Harish Arvind of Class 8 were announced the Best Players and selected to participate and represent Tamil Nadu in the Junior NBA National Championship 2020, ( U-14) category, that is proposed to be held in Noida, UP, later this year.

This event was organized by the Basketball Federation of India.

The National Basketball Association (NBA) is a men's professional basketball league and it  is the premier men's professional basketball league in the world.

The School Management is proud of their astounding achievement.

VELAMMMAL EXCELS IN KEMPO  KARATE

Master Jagadeesh Waran P, Class 11 of Velammal Matriculation Higher  Secondary School, Mogappair West Campus, bagged the second prize in the 1st National Open Karate Championship 2019 for  KUMITE in the U-18 category and KATA in  U-20 category, organized by Neelakandan Kempo Karate Academy of India held at ICF  A.Palanisamy Multi Sports Hall, Ayanavaram recently. 

Around 32 students participated in this  Kempo Karate National Event, which is the toughest self- defense Martial Art.

The School Management congratulates the achiever on his remarkable feat.
