Real friendships in the industry are a rare thing, more so when you have competed with somebody on a reality show. But, the equation that the charming and affable Shoaib Ibrahim shares with his ex-Bigg Boss contestants is different.

After achieving super stardom on the small screen, Shoaib is now gearing up to make his Bollywood debut with the war-drama 'Battalion 609' and the actor is getting a lot of support and encouragement from his friends from the Bigg Boss House.

Sreesanth, who calls Shoaib his 'chhota bhai', posted a video on Instagram wishing him all the best with the release of the film. His other fellow contestant Deepak Thakur too uploaded a video on the same social media platform congratulating him for his film debut.

‘Battalion 609’, directed by Brijesh Batuknath Tripathi and produced by Narindas Lalwani of N.J. Lalwani Films, releases worldwide on January 11, 2019 by Big Curtains Media.

Actress Dipika Kakar Ibrahim who, till recently was best known for her show ‘Sasural Simar Ka’, has added a feather to her hat by winning twelfth season of ‘Bigg Boss’, the biggest reality show on television. Dipika had entered the show with husband, actor Shoaib Ibrahim who got eliminated at an earlier stage. Though Dipika was heartbroken by his elimination, she stayed on in the show and eventually won it. Now, that the actress is back with her family, she is gearing up for another major event – the release of Shoaib’s debut film ‘Battalion 609’. 

She recently posted a video on Instagram expressing her happiness overseeing her husband on the big screen. It is every actor’s dream to get into films and Dipika said that their entire family is extremely excited about the fact that Shoaib will be making his film debut with ‘Battalion 609’. The poster of the film, she says, is one of the first things she saw after she came out of the Bigg Boss house and met her family and that made the win all the more 

sweeter!

In the film, Shoaib will be seen playing the role of Major General Kamraj Mishra. The film is about a cricket match scheduled between the Indian Army and the Pakistani Army which goes wrong leading to several other incidents.
