Soori will rule the screens from beginning till end

“Soori will rule the screens from beginning till end with non-stop comedy in Seemaraja ” – Sivakarthikeyan

The arrival of Seemaraja has taken its greatest toast of celebrations among the fans in town. With rigorous advance bookings and celebrations in city, sub-urban and rural areas, the film has already set its trenchant mark of success to a greater magnitude. The massive avatar of Sivakarthikeyan in the visual promos and trailers has furthermore intensified the Seema Raja fever among his fans. Absolutely, on the other end, it has given an impression that it’s a film with serious premise. But even before such doubts would arise through the course, Sivakarthikeyan settles them down with a simple yet high clarity statement. “Soori will rule the screens from beginning till end with non-stop comedy in Seemaraja. I think, this indeed is enough with sumptuous evidence of his humorous spell in the movie,” starts off Sivakarthikeyan.

While speaking about the basic gist of the film, Sivakarthikeyan claims that the film definitely owns a unique theme, which would be relevant to any situational context in accordance to Tamil people. “This was something that Ponram had decided even before crafting the entire narration on script papers… In both our previous movies – Rajini Murugan and Varuthapadatha Valibar Sangam, we had managed to deliver decorous package of entertainment. So we had a firm decision of offering them more on our best in Seemaraja as well. Although, the basic premise might have its impact, it has been presented with complete entertainment laced with humour, sentiments, romance, action and the best essential ingredients to savour the tastes of family audiences…”

Speaking about his co-stars, Sivakarthikeyan says, “Rather than claiming them with words like ‘Wonderful Experience’, I would consider the entire process of ‘Seemaraja ’ as moments of treasury. Especially, to work with senior actors like Napoleon sir, Simran madam, Lal Sir and so on, I was just in admiration about the efficient performance and yet attributed with down-to-earth nature. In fact, I have stolen some of such traits from them, which I believe that upcoming generation of actors definitely need to posses for being successful in the industry.”

Getting on with unconditional praises upon Samantha, he smilingly cites, “She started preparing for the role even before I got completely involved. To be a heroine with her calendars filled with back to back projects, I was surprised to see that she took more enough time for preparing her role, which includes mastering Silambam.”

“The title Seemaraja might be a fictional projection of my character, but this title in reality should be conferred on our producer RD Raja. It might sound like a superlative adjective, but it is the fact, where he could have easily sprawled out and relaxed. But he was vigilant and available even for the petty things to ensure that the project doesn’t get stalled anywhere. Or else, it would have been a difficult thing for entire team to complete and release the film as promised for Vinayagar Chathurthi despites a month long Kollywood strike,” says Sivakarthikeyan.

Seemaraja on editing table itself was a celebrative experience

“Seemaraja on editing table itself was a celebrative experience” – National award winning Editor Vivek Harshan

It happens that irrespective of genres or whatever a film’s premise is, editors are always bounded to inevitable stress, pressures and deadlines. However, it sounds pretty interesting to hear such an invigorant statement from an editor, especially from a National award winner like Vivek Harshan. “Yes, Seemaraja on editing table itself was a celebrative experience. It’s quite a rarity, where the raw footage's of certain films evoke the exact emotional feel that makers imagined and executed. While working on Seemaraja, there were many scenes that instantly appealed me with fun, emotions and entertainment factors even before the final edit.  I am sure; audiences will have double the dose of my experience in theatres. Especially, the surprise element in the film that you had a pinch of view in trailer will be a huge toast of entertainment,” says Vivek Harshan, who had earlier edited Ponram-Sivakarthikeyan duo’s Rajini Murugan and Varuthapadatha Valibar Sangam.

Arriving from the celebrated stores of producer RD Raja’s 24AM STUDIOS, Seemaraja is scheduled for a grand worldwide release on September 13 for the festive occasion of Vinayagar Chathurthi.  Featuring Sivakarthikeyan and Samantha in lead roles, the film has much more entertainment bonanzas that include hilarious quotients by Soori, an unconventional avatar of Simran and so on.

Comprised with the team of Sivakarthikeyan’s lucky mascots – D Imman (Music), Balasubramaniam (Cinematography) , Vivek Harshan (Editor) Yugabharathi (Lyrics) and many others have already made the expectation bars raised.

I am instinctively experiencing an emotional aura

“With SeemaRaja, I am instinctively experiencing an emotional aura
of having worked in a hit movie,”
–Art Director Muthuraj

A common belief that a film set against rural backdrops doesn’t stress much upon the efforts of technicians. The silent lakes, colourful festivities, chirping birds with village belles and beaus in the ambience might be regarded as a vernacular ingredient of such movies. But in reality, it demands for a much herculean efforts from the technical team, especially from the ‘Art Department’.  Moreover, it is so much evident with the grooviest works of art director Muthuraj in Sivakarthikeyan-Samantha starrer SeemaRaja. It’s easier to promote a film as a ‘Festival movie’, but very hard for audience to experience it wholeheartedly.

Apparently, SeemaRaja has already created such an impact through its trailers and visual promos. However, art director Muthuraj refrains from swaggering show-offs as he credits thanks to others in the team.“If my art work in Seema Raja is noticeable, it’s all because of top-notch cinematography by Balasubramaniam sir. He enjoyed each and every bits and pieces of my art work. He would click pictures of every backdrop of my work and Whatsapp me asking for my suggestions for placing the shots. On the musical front, D Imman has just emblazoned the ambience with more festivity and colours,” says Muthuraj.

He continues to extend his praises upon producer RD Raja of 24AM STUDIOS saying, “Usually, when a producer gears up for a film with village backdrops, they would have some restrictions over the art department. At the most, our works would get limited only to a Temple festival or market places. But RD Raja sir gave me a complete freedom to express my creativities to best possibilities. Sometimes, even when I would self-compromise keeping budget in mind, he would forward breaking my perceptions and encourage me to come up with finest outputs. In addition, Ponram sir, his aesthetic standard of presenting village life in a much colourful manner helped me experiment more.”

“With SeemaRaja, I am instinctively experiencing an emotional aura of having worked in a hit movie,” tots up Muthuraj.

Directed by Ponram, Seema Raja features Sivakarthikeyan, Samantha, Simran, Soori, Napoleon, Lal and many more familiar actors in the cast. With D Imman composing music and Balasubramaniam handling cinematography, RD Raja has produced the film for 24AM STUDIOS, which is scheduled for a  grand release for Vinayagar Chathurthi (September 13).
