Vijay Antony’s Magnanimous Gesture to Support his Producers'

Vijay Antony, one of the Popular heroes of Tamil cinema who recently gave a Hit in ‘Kolaigaran’ also has substantial reach even among Telugu audience. His films are a big hit in Television whenever they are telecast. His film Pichaikkaran holds the top TRP rating in Television viewing. His recent film Thimiru Pudichavan scored viewers impressions (13.11 Million) next only to Darbar and Seemaraja when it was telecast on 14th April 2020.

Vijay Antony is currently busy in acting in three films namely Tamizharasan for Producer FEFSI Shiva, Agni Siragugal for Amma Creations T. Siva and Khaki for Director Senthil Kumar of Open Theatre and Infiniti Film Ventures. All these three films are in various stages of completion and gearing up for release soon.

As Tamil cinema got affected due to Corona lock down from March 2020, the completion and release of these three films were delayed by three months and by the time these film’s release, it may take another three to four months. Considering the loss that will be incurred by these three Producers, with a view to support them to overcome from this situation, Vijay Antony came forward and offered 25% reduction in his salary for these three films. With this support, he is confident the Producers will be able to bring down their overall cost and ensure these three films have a smooth release.

Commenting on this magnanimous gesture, Producer Amma Creations T. Siva stated that, “It is very kind of Vijay Antony to accept salary reduction considering the situation we are in due to the lock down for over 50 days and the further delay expected in releasing the films. We request that all actors and technicians should also come forward and accept reduced salaries so that the overall cost of all the current film producers reduces to tide over the crisis all of us are all facing currently. By accepting this reduction in the agreed salary, Vijay Antony is becoming an example for being a good Producer’s Actor and we wish him all the success in his future films.” Other Two Film Producers have also wholeheartedly welcomed this ‘voluntary salary reduction support’
offered by Vijay Antony.

It happens that irrespective of genres or whatever a film’s premise is, editors are always bounded to inevitable stress, pressures and deadlines. However, it sounds pretty interesting to hear such an invigorant statement from an editor, especially from a National award winner like Vivek Harshan. “Yes, Seemaraja on editing table itself was a celebrative experience. It’s quite a rarity, where the raw footage's of certain films evoke the exact emotional feel that makers imagined and executed. While working on Seemaraja, there were many scenes that instantly appealed me with fun, emotions and entertainment factors even before the final edit.  I am sure; audiences will have double the dose of my experience in theatres. Especially, the surprise element in the film that you had a pinch of view in trailer will be a huge toast of entertainment,” says Vivek Harshan, who had earlier edited Ponram-Sivakarthikeyan duo’s Rajini Murugan and Varuthapadatha Valibar Sangam. 

Arriving from the celebrated stores of producer RD Raja’s 24AM STUDIOS, Seemaraja is scheduled for a grand worldwide release on September 13 for the festive occasion of Vinayagar Chathurthi.  Featuring Sivakarthikeyan and Samantha in lead roles, the film has much more entertainment bonanzas that include hilarious quotients by Soori, an unconventional avatar of Simran and so on. 

Comprised with the team of Sivakarthikeyan’s lucky mascots – D Imman (Music), Balasubramaniam (Cinematography) , Vivek Harshan (Editor) Yugabharathi (Lyrics) and many others have already made the expectation bars raised.

Success comes along with responsibilities and that’s an inevitable baggage that one cannot avoid.  Specifically, for a filmmaker like Ponram, who struck gold together with Sivakarthikeyan in back to back successful entertainers – Rajini Murugan and Varutha Padatha Valibar Sangam, filmmaker Ponram keeps his fingers crossed over ‘Seemaraja’ success. But at the same time is quite curious to witness the reception of audience. “It’s just like a student awaits the exam results,” laughs out Ponram, who admits that although the entire team is confident about the film, he has butterflies in stomach. 

Shedding lights on the film, director Ponram says, “We have tried slightly upgrading ourselves from our erstwhile films with Seemaraja. This doesn’t mean, we have got out our regular premise, but it will have same backdrops of entertainment, but with some enhancements. More than all, I have the responsibility to make sure that Sivakarthikeyan fans are offered to the best of their expectations.” 

Speaking about others in the cast and crew, he says, “I must really admit the fact that Samantha had exerted her inmost efforts for her role even before the shooting commenced. She started practicing Silambam and made sure of achieving the perfection before facing the camera.” Ponram doesn’t miss to claim that Soori will be the strongest pillar of tickling our funny bones. 

“It’s nice to hear everyone say that Seemaraja gives a festive feel. I must say that it’s mainly due to our friend technicians. If not for cinematographer Balasubramaniam, Art director Muthuraj and D Imman, this would have not been achieved. I am happy and sure that audiences will have a good experience with Seemaraja in theatres,” sums up Ponram. 

Seemaraja witnesses a grand worldwide release in more screens on September 13.

Sivakarthikeyan movies are always on its closest links and they have never missed to amuse the family audiences. In fact, his movies when it arrives in association with filmmaker Ponram and music director D Imman, they add more into the festive celebrations. With their upcoming film ‘SeemaRaja’ hitting screens on September 13 for the festive occasion of Vinayaka Chaturthi, the CBFC members have given their certification of U and have appreciated the makers for presenting a decent family entertainer.
