Director Yuvaraj Subramaniam on Vaibhav-Nandita Swetha starrer “Taana”.

Looking into the filmography of actor Vaibhav including his forthcoming lineups, they amply assure an array of unique contents with entertainment. This Friday stands out to be yet another illustration proving of such paradigms with the theatrical trailer of ‘Taana’ have already created huge expectations for the movie. The rib-tickling performance of Vaibhav as a character invested with a disorder of getting female vocal during the emotional peaks has found a good reach indeed. However, director Yuvaraj Subramani brings up his experience with Vaibhav while shooting these sequences.  He says, “Of course, Vaibhav’s performance has given a fun-filled experience for the viewers, but the way he strained himself physically preparing for such a character was amazing. It isn’t just like Vaibhav speaking in his own voice and later getting dubbed with a female voice. Yes, it is dubbed, but at the same time, he tried modulating his voice on the shooting spot to the closest point of a female voice. He felt the urge to give as much preciseness to the character he is playing and that involved lots of challenges. Nonetheless, I am extremely gleeful to see that it’s yielding a good reception for the film prior to its release. I can assure that the film will be an entertaining experience for everyone in the theatres.”

Furthermore, the director adds, “The film doesn’t travel on the humorous lanes alone, but will branch out into various genres including supernatural, comedy, action and romance. I thank producers MC Kalaimamani and & M.K. Lakshmi Kalaimamani for banking their trust in this script. Each and every artist in the film has extended their unconditional support towards the film. Nandita Swetha has done her part so well and Yogi Babu’s episodes with Vaibhav will be celebrated with laughter in cinema halls. Despite his years of experience in multiple departments of filmmaking, Pandiarajan sir was so much down to earth and I could learn lots of things from him. I also thank Rajesh Kumar and L Sinthan of Positive Print Studios for showing their interest in this film and paving way for a bigger release.”

Produced by MC Kalaimamani and & M.K. Lakshmi Kalaimamani for Nobel Movies Production, the film’s star-cast also comprises of Hareesh Peradi, Pasanga Sivakumar, Uma Padmanabhan, and others. Vishal Chandrashekar has composed music and Shiva GRN has handled the cinematography. Positive Print Studios L Sinthan and Rajesh Kumar are releasing the film all over Tamil Nadu tomorrow (January 24, 2020).

The big budget fantasy film is to be jointly produced by KJR Studios

Fantasy films always have a tendency to garner attention. One such fantasy film that is now all set to get made is Aalambana.

Films that have been made on Aladdin have always won the hearts of audiences, especially  children. Aalambana too is being made on similar lines and has a unique concept that is bound to make it appealing to all kinds of audiences.

The big budget fantasy film is to be jointly produced by KJR Studios, the firm which released the immensely successful Ajith-starrer Viswasam, and producer Chandru.

Written and directed by Pari.K. Vijay, the film will be a full-fledged commercial fantasy entertainer. Pari K Vijay, who will be making his debut as a director through Aalambana, has worked on quality films like Mundasupatti and Indru, Netru, Naalai as an assistant director.

Vaibhav plays the hero in this full-fledged entertainer and Parvati plays the heroine.

Interestingly, Aalambana is the biggest project (in terms of budget) among all the films that actor Vaibhav has played lead so far. No wonder then, that this will be among the most important  films in actor Vaibhav's career.

The film has an interesting star cast. Apart from Vaibhav and Parvati, it also features Munishkanth in an important role. More importantly, it also marks the return of Dindugal I Leoni, the famous orator known for his witty speeches, back to the big screen.

To add to the fun quotient, the film also has actors Kaali Venkat and Anandraj.

Murali Sharma too plays an important role in this entertainer which will have Kabir Duhan Singh, the man who played the villain in Vedalam, playing the antagonist.

It is not just the cast that is talented. The film has an equally good technical team.

Music for the film is being scored by Hip Hop Aadhi, whose score for the film Comaali was a superhit. Vinoth Rathinasamy, whose striking visuals in Nedunalvaadai won the hearts of everybody, is the cinematographer of this film. San Lokesh, whose editing in the superhit film Ratsasan came in for widespread praise, is the editor of the film. Well known stunt choreographer Peter Hein heads the stunt team while Gopi Anand is in charge of Art direction.

Industry experts are of the opinion that the film is sure to delight audiences across the board. Shooting of this big budget entertainer is to start soon. The film is expected to release in the summer of 2020.

Undoubtedly, Vijay Sethupathi’s Seethakaathi has managed to bring everyone into its world.  Thanks to the makers for offering a deep insight about the film as they unveil the queue of characters essayed by colossal performers. With the film scheduled for a worldwide release on December 20, it’s exhilarating to see an unheralded actor stepping into the shoes of antagonist for this classic drama flick laced with humour and emotions. Yes, it’s actor Vaibhav’s elder brother Sunil, who will be seen playing the baddie out here in this film, but with a phenomenal sketch of his character. 

“In fact, the pursuit of finding a befittingly perfect actor for this role turned to be a huge challenge on my part of casting. It’s incisively because of the character’s nature indeed. While penning the script, we had a clear vision that the antagonist’s role shouldn’t be a shop-soiled and should have freshness. It is a character that wouldn’t gain your aversion of get you irked, but instead will keep you charmed up with smile. As far as the appearance is concerned, it should have a plump look and so we went ahead with some unusual choices. 

We in fact discussed  certain popular names in the industry too.Nonetheless, their busy schedules kept them away from taking it up although they really loved it. On an unexpected turn, I happened to meet actor Vaibhav’s elder brother Sunil at a birthday bash and instantly found my antagonist. He was pretty nervous and was completely reluctant to take up the auditions. But, he gave a try and eventually got into the shoes of his role followed by short-term acting course. I am sure,  audience will take back home not just the celebrated Seethakaathi (Vijay Sethupathi), but this humorous antagonist, whose character will be on par with Bags’ role in Naduvula Konjam Pakkatha Kaanom,” says filmmaker Balaji Tharaneetharan.
