Boney Kapoor loves playing a perfect host to his cast & crew

Being humble and down-to-earth, producer Boney Kapoor is not only famous for his friendliness but also for his hospitality among his friends, crew & colleagues. The veteran producer, who made his first independent film Hum Paanch in 1979/80always makes sure that his crew is treated well. 

During the shoot for his debut film Hum Paanch, Kapoor is seen serving food to his cast & crew , It’s not all, he also constructed 20 cottages with attached bathrooms for their stay as the nearest hotel from the location was more than 100 miles away, during the shoot.  There were  2 separate cottages for a movie theatre & a club house for indoor games. He also made badminton court  and movie theatre had  a choice of 40 different movies to keep the cast & crew entertained.   

Take a look at this picture, Boney can be seen serving food to the cast.  Sanjeev Kumar, Mittun Chakraborty, Raj Babbar, Gulsan Grover, Ranjit Sood, AK Hangal,  and Uday Chandra can be seen eating together.

He did the same during the shoot of his last film Mom, in Georgia’s snow capped mountains, The film is very special for Boney Kapoor as it was Sridevi’s 300th film.

Mr. Ajith Kumar starrer AK 59 is proceeding at the brisk pace with entire team pushing its bars of excellence in nurturing it efficiently. With the official announcement involving the film’s worldwide 2019 Summer release being affirmed on the commencement of shooting, Producer Mr. Boney Kapoor  who kick-starts his production venture in South through his home banner Bayview Projects LLP. feels so much delighted on getting the right team of star-cast and technicians. 

“As I have said earlier, my journey with Ajith Kumar had started from the time he worked with my wife the late Sri Devi in English Vinglish. It all started as a wish from her end, where she felt it would be nice to have Ajith doing a Tamil film produced by our production house. What started as an informal wish eventually got its shape as we mutually  came forward choosing a content that appropriately deals with something to do with the current situation.Sridevi herself was immensely happy with the core content we chose to work with. I am happy now to see that the entire project is getting materialized and is proceeding at its brisk pace. Moreover, I feel happy as my travel with Ajith Kumar isn’t going to be limited merely with a film, but we will immediately start working on a new film from July 2019 that will have a huge release in April 2020.” says Boney Kapoor. 

As he furnishes the complete details about cast and crew of AK 59, Boney Kapoor adds, “Personally, I have always been a film buff, who curiously looks at the posters of any movies to see who’s who in the star-cast and technical crew.  Films with good contents need perfect team to execute and deliver it. I am literally happy to have found such a team for my debut production through Bayview Projects LLP. 

Filmmaker Vinoth has proved himself to be a master of versatile craftsmanship in his erstwhile movies.  His discipline and distinct commitment in translating the words into pictures absolutely as promised is brilliant. I always believe for any movies irrespective of genres of themes, ‘Music’ is the ultimate asset in elevating its substantiality.  In this aspect, Yuvan Shankar Raja’s music has intensified the soul of movies, especially in the emotional context.  This film has found more of such talents and powerhouses, who I believe will definitely escalate it.” 

Getting on to speak about others in the star-cast, Boney Kapoor says, “It’s nice to introduce Vidya  Balan to the Tamil audience.She is paired with AjithKumar and  her role is a very special . Shrada Srinath has been displaying plenty of promise and we are  casting her in the pivotal role.  Rangaraj Pandey plays a very important character too. Adhik Ravichandran, Arjun Chidambaram , Abhirami Venkatachalam, Andrea Tariang, Aswin Rao, Sujith Shankar and others will add up the realistic chroma of this film.” 

The film’s technical crew comprises of Nirav Shah (Cinematography), K. Kathir (Art Director), Dhilip Subbarayan (Stunt Master), Poornima Ramasamy (Costume designer) Gokul Chandran (Editor),  P. Jayaraj  (Executive Producer).

AJITH TO FULFILL SRIDEVI'S WISH!

Boney Kapoor  marks the maiden venture of His well-esteemed production company Bayview Projects LLP in Tamil film industry. This will be the official Tamil remake of critically acclaimed and box office hit Hindi film “Pink”.  Winning excellent acclaims for his outstanding directorial ‘Theeran Adhigaaram Ondru’, H. Vinoth will be helming this project. While Yuvan Shankar Raja will strike his musical chords, rest of the cast and crew will be finalized shortly in time. The film was launched today in Chennai.

 Boney Kapoor  says, "While working together  with Ajith for English Vinglish,  Sridevi had expressed her desire that Ajith  does  a Tamil film  for our home production to be Produced by me. Nothing exciting came up till one day last year,  Ajith suggested remaking Pink in Tamil.  She  immediately agreed with him as she thought it was most appropriate  and timely film to make and Ajith would bring all the elements required to make it into a great Tamil film.

 I am extremely happy about embarking on my production venture in South Industry, particularly in Tamil that has always been a special zone for me. In fact, it’s been a long journey involving both  Ajith and me to collaborate for a film, which he took up as a sheer commitment from the time he shared screen space with my wife Sridevi in ‘English Vinglish’. Accordingly, what we both earnestly looked up was a suitable content that will add a special mileage to our respective works. We are now delighted to have zeroed in the official remake of ‘Pink’. We are initiating the shooting process today and determined enough to hit the screens on the 1st of May 2019. We are subsequently doing an other film together and that will be scheduled for a start on July 2019 and to be released on the  10th of April 2020.Both the films are supported by Zee.I am looking forward to a much more enjoyable and great experience working with him. 

I have been following the works of Mr. Vinoth, who owns an impeccable cult of filmmaking. Especially, his previous release ‘Theeran Adhigaaram Ondru’ had amazed me incredibly for its raw and realistic treatment. The way he chooses unique story premises and transfuses them with engrossing narration assured me that he will be the right person to materialize ‘Pink’ in Tamil
