Producer Dr. Ishari K Ganesh gifts a luxurious high end Honda City car to director Pradeep on "Comali" success 

2019 has turned to be a phase of non-stop celebrations for the production house of Dr. Ishari K Ganesh’s Vels Film International with back to back hits. Following the grand success of RJ Balaji-Priya Anand starrer "LKG" that was released earlier this year, Vels Film International has yet another reason to celebrate now for its recent release "Comali" has touched a blockbuster mark in box office. Released on August 15, 2019, the film starring Jayam Ravi and Kajal Aggarwal in lead roles opened to positive reviews from both critics and general audiences. And now, producer Dr. Ishari K Ganesh overwhelmed with the tremendous result has gifted a luxurious High-end Honda City car to Pradeep Ranganathan, director of this film and gold coins to the entire crew. It is noteworthy that the producer had expressed the same gesture as a token of appreciation to Prabhu, director of LKG by gifting him a car in accordance to the film’s success. 

Pradeep Ranganathan, director of the film says, "This is a huge surprise to me as I never expected such an unbelievable gift from Dr. Ishari K Ganesh sir. He has been a complete support to me right from the beginning of this project. Now, to see his unconditional gesture of surprising me leaves me emotionally excited. Well, I missed out a particular element about the life of 90s kids in Comali, where the parents would promise of gifting what their kids ask for if they manage to pass examinations with high grades. But in my case, Ganesh sir, who I admire him like a father-figure has made it perfect without making any promises. I thank Jayam Ravi anna, Kajal Aggarwal, Samyuktha, KS Ravikumar sir; Hiphop Aadhi and every member of the team for making this film a huge success."

ரசிகர்களின் தேவையை சரிவர அறிந்து, அதற்கேற்ப இசை அமைத்து புகழின் உச்சியில் குறைந்த காலத்தில் வீற்று இருப்பவர் ஹிப்ஹாப் ஆதி. அதிலும் குறிப்பாக இளைஞர்களை கவரும் வண்ணம் அவர் அமைக்கும் இசை அவரை இசை உலகின் நாயகனாகவே மாற்றி விடுகிறது. "கோமாளி" படத்தின் பின்னணி இசை கோர்ப்பு  மிக மிக சவாலாக இருந்தது.  எல்லா உணர்ச்சிகளின் கலவையான படம் என்பதால் , குறிப்பிட்ட ஒரு பாணியை மட்டுமே கடைப்பிடிக்க முடியவில்லை..இயக்குனர் பிரதீப் என்னிடம் கதை சொன்ன வினாடியே இந்த சவால் எனக்கு புலப்பட்டது.90க்களில் பிறந்த எனக்கு அந்தக் காலக் கட்டத்தின் உணர்ச்சிகள் எனக்கு எளிதாகவே புரிந்தது. என்னால் அந்த திரை நிகழ்வுகளோடு தொடர்ப்பு கொள்ள முடிந்தது. இதுவே என்னை வீரியத்தோடு வேலை செய்ய வைத்தது.பாடல்களை பொறுத்தவரை இயக்குனர் பிரதீப், ஒளிப்பதிவாளர் ரிச்சர்ட் எம் நாதன், இந்தப் படத்தின் நடிக நடிகையர் , மற்றும் தொழில் நுட்ப கலைஞர்கள் அனைவருக்கும் இந்த வெற்றி உரியது. பாடல்கள் அனைத்துமே. காட்சி அமைப்புக்கு முக்கியத்துவம் கொடுத்து எடுக்கப்பட்ட பாடல்கள் ஆகும்.அந்த அழகியல் கூடிய காட்சி அமைப்பே பாடல்களின் வெற்றிக்கு மூல காரணம்" என்கிறார். 

படத்தில் உள்ள சிறந்த  காட்சிகளை வரிசைப் படுத்த கோரிய போது " அது மிக கடுமையானது. ஒவ்வொரு காட்சியுமே மற்ற காட்சிகளுக்கு சவால் விடும். முழுநீள ஜனரஞ்சகமான படத்தின் அர்த்தம் "கோமாளி"தான்.. எல்லா காட்சிகளும் அபாரம். குறிப்பிட்டு சொல்ல வேண்டும் என்றால் சென்னை வெள்ளம் பற்றிய காட்சிதான் " என்கிறார் ஆதி.

ஜெயம் ரவி , காஜல் அகர்வால் இணையாக நடிக்க இவர்களோடு சம்யுக்தா ஹெக்டே, யோகி பாபு ஆகியோரும் நடித்து இருக்கின்றனர்..அறிமுக இயக்குனர் பிரதீப் இயக்க, வேல்ஸ் பிலிம் இன்டெர்னஷனல் என்கிற நிறுவனத்தின் சார்பில் ஐசரி கே கணேஷ் தயாரிப்பில் உருவான "கோமாளி"  சுதந்திர தினமான ஆகஸ்ட் 15 ஆம் தேதி உலகெங்கும் வெளிவர இருக்கிறது.

Pradeep Ranganathan on Comali

The young minds are always addicted to freshness and they have never missed to experience positive response in K-Town. Filmmaker Pradeep Ranganathan becomes the latest one to join the league for he has already got himself listed in catalogue of promising filmmakers for the seasons to come.  With his directorial debut ‘Comali’ hitting screens on August 15, he keeps his fingers crossed expecting good results for the hard work of his team. 

He says, “It’s really heart-warming to see everyone appreciating me, but the actual credit goes to the entire team. Right from Jayam Ravi sir to Kajal Aggarwal madam and Hiphop Aadhi brother, they have treated me like their younger brother. During some challenges and hardships, they have stood and guided me, which has helped me work better. My unconditional thanks goes to Ishari K Ganesh sir for believing in a newcomer like me. I thank art department for being a great pillar in erecting some of the challenging set works, especially the creation of Chennai floods.” 

While talking about the core concept of the film, director Pradeep Ranganathan says, “By now, everyone is aware about what Comali is all about.  It has fun, entertainment and at the same time, we have tried conveying a small emotional quotient on human values. Comali will be a film that each and everyone can relate with, especially the ones from 90s, who have been experiencing a mammoth change in every walk of live.”

 

Comali is scheduled to hit screens on August 15 with Sakthi Film Factory releasing it all over Tamil Nadu. The film is written and directed by Pradeep Ranganathan featuring Jayam Ravi, Kajal Aggarwal, Samyuktha Hegde and Yogi Babu in title roles. Dr Ishari K Ganesh is producing this film for Vels Film International that has musical score by Hiphop Aadhi.

Jayam Ravi gears up to amuse with family entertainer ‘Comali’

Looks like, it isn’t just the hardcore fans of Jayam Ravi, but even the filmmakers like Pradeep Ranganathan have been looking up for this. With the actor continuously showing up with angry young man roles including his previous release “Adanga Maru”, the tall handsome actor will completely appearing in contrastive avatar(s) in ‘Comali’, which is a full length family entertainer laced with comedy and emotions. 

Director Pradeep Ranganathan says, “Yes, we have tried making a comedy entertainer with family elements. Over the past few years, we have been watching Jayam Ravi sir perform serious roles in movies like Thani Oruvan and Adanga Maru. This will have a family drama with the equal mix of fun and emotions. It also deals with the contemporary crisis involving the negativities spread through social media platforms and has a good message by end. More than all, what’s going to be interesting is Jayam Ravi sir appearing in 9 different get ups and one involving the 90s makeover will be more intriguing. Yogi Babu will be seen more like a character artiste than being a routine comedian and will be seen throughout the movie. KS Ravikumar sir plays an important role in this movie. There are few other actors in the film, who will pep up the film with entertainment quotients like Bijili Ramesh, Ponnambalam. We have introduced RJ Anandhi of YouTube Paridhaabangal fame and she will be performing an intense character in the movie. Kajal Agarwal  being such a well experienced actress, she always was keen on improvising even the minute acts. Every time, I would see both Jayam Ravi and Kajal Aggarwal together, I felt there’s something magical about this pair and am sure audiences will feel the same. The script actually demanded for a substantial female character that needs to be more expressive and we felt Kannada actress Samyuktha Hegde will do perfect justice to it. She has already become the sensation of south through the Kannada movie Kirrik Party. We are sure that her performance as one of the female lead roles will be definitely noted and appreciated."

The filmmaker extends up his words of praises for music director Hiphop Tamizha saying, “He has become the musical emblem of youth and he has offered the most enjoyable songs in this film. Especially the song ‘Paisa Nottu’ will be surely looked upon for its musical score and grander production values. It’s an imaginative song on a Temple being built for Kamal Aggarwal and what if the temple was a pub. The song has come out really well and we are looking forward to the crowds for enjoying it.” 

Produced by Ishari K Ganesh for Vels Film International, Comali has already completed its shoot and the post-production work is going on full stretch. Richard M Nathan is handling cinematography and Praveen KL is on editing.
