Abhay Deol plays antagonist in Sivakarthikeyan’s Hero

Especially, when they’re all set to unleash their potentials in K-Town, they obviously become the most celebrated topic. Absolutely, it is time for the handsomely ravishing Abhay Deol to walk through those moments. Yup! The actor has been signed to play the antagonist in Sivakarthikeyan’s upcoming film ‘Hero’. So guess who’s so much exhilarated on bringing this talented actor onboard? Its filmmaker PS Mithran himself as he says, “His presence is going to be the uttermost amplifier in elevating the essence of ‘Hero’” and continues to add the reason behind getting him for this film. “My debut film ‘Irumbu Thirai’ was highly noticed for the overpowering character of antagonist, which was played by Arjun sir. Obviously, this actually had an additional responsibility to create a villainous character with herculean shades. He’s someone unpredictable and unassuming. His uttermost reactions would be a minimal smile, but there’s more terror lying beneath it. When I was running through my imaginations, it was Abhay Deol, who looked befittingly much perfect and to my surprise, he was quite impressed with the tale and his role as well. Now this is getting really bigger with elations along with excessive responsibilities. To have such a power-packed stellar star cast of Sivakarthikeyan, Arjun sir and Abhay Deol urges me to bring the best in me.”

Bankrolled by Kotapadi J Rajesh for KJR Studios, the film is written and directed by PS Mithran, the upcoming schedule of “Hero” will commence soon. Kalyani Priyadarshan is playing the female lead with ‘Nachiyaar’ fame Ivana appearing in a prominent role. The same pillars of “Irumbu Thirai” are gearing up for their second time collaboration with PS Mithran that includes Yuvan Shankar Raja (Music), George C Williams (Cinematography) and Ruben (Editing).

Nenjamundu Nermaiyundu Odu Raja gets ‘U’ certificate

It’s great news for the entire team of ‘Nenjamundu Nermaiyundu Odu Raja’ as the CBFC members have passed ‘U’ certificate. Featuring Rio Raj, Shirin Kanchwala, RJ Vigneshkanth, Radharavi and Nanjil Sampath in the star-cast, director Karthik Venugopalan is completely bounded to gleeful moments over this result.

Director Karthik Venugopalan says, “For a debutant like me, it is like a convocation ceremony in college and it’s a glad tiding to each and everyone in the team. Naturally, we were pretty much conscious of presenting Nenjamundu Nermaiyundu Odu Raja for family audiences by the scripting stage itself. Now, passing through this acid test and getting a favourable result brims us with streak of strong confidence about the film. The film has 90% humour with enjoyable moments with a message amalgamated to it.”

Getting on to speak about the entire working process with the NNOR team, he says, “It has been a serene and beautiful process, where we all enjoyed it thoroughly. Rio Raj’s casual and effortless performance itself has offered a great substantiality to the role he has essayed. Sivakarthikeyan-Nayanthara starrer ‘Mr. Local’ Press Meet

The much anticipated film of this summer season “Mr. Local” featuring Sivakarthikeyan and Nayanthara in lead roles is all set for worldwide release on May 17, 2019. The entire cast and crew was present today for the pre-release event. Here are some of the excerpts from the event.

Gnanavel Raja in ‘Kedi Billa Killadi Ranga’. After the film’s success, I have been personally monitoring the growth of business for Sivakarthikeyan sir’s movies, which is turning into incredible numbers. With the songs and trailer getting good reception for ‘Mr. Local’, I am sure this will be a sure-footed summer delight for the family audiences.”

Choreographer Dinesh said, “I have been working with Rajesh from his first movie. I still remember the time when I met Sivakarthikeyan brother. It was during the time, I won National awards and he actually compeered for the Vijay Awards, where I was present. From that point of time till now despites the huge success he has tasted, he remains the same with humbleness and down to earth.”

Mirchi Vijay said, “I have written a song in Mr. Local and am so happy to be a part of this project. Penning lyrics for Hiphop Aadhi is always easy for he would have already come up with some lyrics while composing the song.” 

Music director Hiphop Aadhi said, “I got acquainted with K.E. Gnanavel Raja sir during the times of Indru Netru Naalai. Now I am happy to be working for Mr. Local, which is produced by him. Director Rajesh sir is always different and unique in his approach, which makes our job comfortable. He is always focused on what he wants and this makes us refrain from unwanted works and focus on what we have decided. I am composing music for Sivakarthikeyan for the first time and this is a special moment for me as my brother-friend Anirudh has crooned a track. Although, he has played the lead role, Sivakarthikeyan has amused with his hilarious episodes in this movie.” 

Producer K.E. Gnanavel Raja said, “I met and got friendly with him during the days of Kedi Billa Killadi Ranga. He has never changed a bit till now. This yesteryear film might have become a hit due to multi-starrer factor, but he has now upgraded himself to a greater business of giving hits as solo hero, which is remarkable. After the great iconic T. Rajendran sir, it’s Hiphop Aadhi, who is getting so much credits to his work as multi-faceted personality. I can never forget the help that Sivakarthikeyan brother has done. He had accepted to do this film at a crucial point of time and I will never forget this forever.” 

Director Rajesh said, “As soon as we started discussing about the project, K.E. Gnanavel Raja sir insisted me to give a hit movie. Usually, my movies would have scenes involving boozing, ridiculing girls after love failure through song, etc. But the first thing that Sivakarthikeyan brother told me was to avoid these factors. This prompted me to work much focused and Mr. Local will not have such things. This will be an out and out family entertainer, which will be liked and appreciated by universal audiences. If everyone is in awe about the huge star-cast with great actors, Sivakarthikeyan is the ultimate reason behind it. I am usually a person, who always avoids negativity and so happens to be Hiphop Aadhi, which made our work easier. Nayanthara mam liked the script so much and she immediately decided to be a part of this film. I am sure Mr. Local will be a splendid entertainer for this summer season.” 

Actor Sivakarthikeyan said, “Mr. Local is a simple entertainer. I have a connection with Rajesh sir from the time, I worked in television channel. I was asked to dub for a particular shot in the voice of Rajinikanth in between a song in ‘Siva Manasula Sakthi’. I would like to tell that Rajesh sir was the main reason behind setting up the film ‘Varuthapadatha Valibar Sangam’. I was curiously looking up to work with him from that point of time and finally it has happened through this Mr. Local. I am sharing the screen space with Nayanthara madam for the second time after ‘Velaikkaran’. I was slightly disappointed that being a great artiste, she didn’t have a good scope in that movie to perform. In Mr. Local, she will be seen from the 15th minute and will be appearing throughout the film. When signing Hiphop Aadhi for the film, I was slightly doubtful, which might look funny that if he would take all the good songs and store it up for his movies. However, he has been a perfectionist in knowing the content and delivering the songs accordingly. These days, many don’t talk about problems openly in the industry and K.E. Gnanavel Raja sir happens to be an exception, where he has admitted certain things. From now onwards, I will be meeting the press and media often for my movies. Fans are my biggest strength and their encouragements keep propelling me to a good extent.”

Sivakarthikeyan’s HERO launched with simple ritual ceremony

In this context, Sivakarthikeyan has been nurturing his career graph with back to back projects. While his upcoming film ‘Mr. Local’, which is highly expected as family entertainer for summer is scheduled for May 1 release, the shooting of his tentatively titled SK 14, a fantasy entertainer is happening on full swing. During this interim, Sivakarthikeyan’s new film ‘HERO’ has been launched this morning (March 13) with a simple ritual ceremony. The film is directed by PS Mithran and is produced by Kotapadi J Rajesh of KJR Films.
