Titan launches Tamil Nadu collection

~An ensemble inspired by the culture, literature and architecture of timeless Tamil Nadu~

Titan, India’s largest and most trusted watch brand, today launched a special edition of watches –The Namma Tamil Nadu Collection. The beautifully crafted collection reiterates fabulous tales from Tamil Nadu’s rich cultural heritage. The collection was unveiled by Ms. Revathi Kant – Chief Design Officer, Titan Company Limited and acclaimed dancer and actor Shobana Chandrakumar Pillia at Taj Connemara, Chennai followed by a captivating Bharata Natyam performance by the graceful Shobana.

These crafted timepieces bring to life the rich canvas of culture, art and language of Tamil Nadu; be it the magnificent temple architecture, the delicate craftsmanship of Kanjiwaram silk sarees or the unique Tamil script. Drawing inspiration from elements like the Annapakshi motif of Kanjiwaram silks, the Lotus patterns on temple ceilings, the offset pillars with Yali sculptures and the timeless Tamil script printed as numbers adorn, these watches are a fine blend of elegance and aesthetics in a contemporary way.

Titan Company gets relief from the Honorable High Court

Titan Company gets relief from the Hon’ble High Court of Delhi against sellers of counterfeit Titan and Fastrack watches on Snapdeal website

  In furtherance to the Order passed by the Hon’ble High Court of Delhi on 29^th July, 2019 with respect to the suit filed by Titan Company Limited against two  sellers Mr. Rohit Kumar Jain and Mr. Dharam Pal (Sellers) and Snapdeal alleging that the said sellers were selling counterfeit / infringing FASTRACK watches on Snapdeal,  the Hon’ble High Court of Delhi, on 23^rd August, 2019 passed a decree in favour of Titan Company Limited granting permanent injunction against the said two Sellers from selling counterfeit Titan & Fastrack branded watches and granting costs of Rs.1,50,000 each. In addition, the court has directed Snapdeal to, besides filing its written statement within the prescribed time, also furnish an affidavit with particulars of all the goods sold on its portal under the marks TITAN and FASTRACK, the sale price thereof collected and the amount appropriated by Snapdeal to itself and the amount disbursed to the so-called sellers of the said goods. The Court directed the said particulars to be given with effect from 1^st January, 2018.

As stated in the past, at Titan, our primary focus is on safeguarding the interests of our consumers and we will not compromise on the quality and experience with our products.”

The Hon’ble Court had through its earlier Order dated 29^th July, 2019 directed Snapdeal that immediately upon receiving complaint from Titan with respect to the URLs selling counterfeit goods of Titan, Snapdeal should remove such URLs. This case is sub-judice before the Hon’ble High Court of Delhi and the next date in the matter is 20^th February, 2020.
