Eleventh time in a row MMA has won the award successfully

Madras Management Association (MMA) won the award for ‘Best Management Association in India’ for the year 2019-20. The award was presented in an online event by Mr Sanjay Kirloskar, President, All-India Management Association (AIMA), on 21 September 2020, as part of AIMA’s 47th National Management Convention. 

 

Every year, AIMA’s jury selects management associations in the country that have set the standards in building professional capability and execution excellence. MMA topped the category by winning the most votes. This is for the eleventh time in a row MMA has won the award successfully.

Speaking on the occasion, Mr Ravichandran Purushothaman, President, MMA, said: “MMA is a proactive and professional organization that is committed to spreading the field of management in this part of the country. We are proud to have consistently topped the category for the past few years. It only goes on the show the quality of effort put in by MMA.”

According to GpCapt R Vijayakumar (Retd) VSM, Executive Director, MMA, “It is undoubtedly a moment of immense pride for all of us. In fact, this achievement would not have been possible without the active support of our president, office-bearers, past presidents, managing committee members and 8000 strong members, and of course, my winning team at the MMA secretariat.”

MMA currently has over 8000 members and conducts regular programs as part of this management outreach activities. It has local chapters in important towns and cities across Tamil Nadu.

·         INNOVATIONS Category - Small scale enterprises with an annual turnover, not exceeding Rs. 25 crore for the year 2018-2019 are eligible to be nominated. Winners of this category stand a chance to be mentored by CavinKare in functional areas of business such as marketing, finance, designing, packaging, R&D and HR.

·         GREAT IDEAS Category - Aims to recognize and foster the next big idea that can deliver high impact innovation. The category will honor ideas which have the potential to become a innovative business opportunity in a reasonable time frame. For the ‘GREAT IDEAS’ category, aspirants should submit a brief on ‘Why my idea is great’ highlighting the breakthrough innovation, along with the entry form available in the website.

Having recognized over 28 business enterprises from the state of Tamil Nadu and Puducherry, Chinnikrishnanan Innovation Awards is one of the celebrated award properties amongst budding entrepreneurs. The award was instilled in commemoration of Late Shri R Chinnikrishnanan, renowned for his sachet innovation and aims to bring to foray entrepreneurs who have embodied the ‘dreamer’, ‘innovator’ and ‘ideator’ qualities of the late Shri R Chinnikrishnan.
