1.                    How was your experience being in our event?

I was delighted to be part of the Kanaa audio launch. It was lovely to feel the enthusiasm of the fans in the city, and they created such a great atmosphere throughout. Also, it was nice to meet Sivakarthikeyan sir, Arunraja sir, Sathyaraj sir who i was a fan of from Bahubali, and Aishwarya, Dharshan and the entire team.


2.                    Till date there are no films made on women’s cricket, were you excited on hearing the news about Kanaa since it’s a first film based on women’s cricket?

Definitely, this is a great time when women’s cricket is on the rise and this movie will help a lot of women get involved with sport and cricket as such. From the teasers Aishwarya and the other actors seem to have done a great job. I can’t wait to watch the movie as well


3.                    Thoughts after seeing our Kanaa teaser and songs?

Literally got goosebumps seeing the teaser as I am a big movie fanatic, and this teaser was exciting. My favourite is the Oonjala Oonjala music track.

4.                    Aishwarya Rajessh as the cricketer- your honest comments on her performance as a cricketer through the visuals you saw in the teaser.

As I’m told Aishwarya is a very good actress and from the teaser she has done a superb job! Would be able to give a better feedback once I watch the entire movie.


5.                      Your message to the girls who feel they are out numbered in the social fronts to become big in all the fields that currently men dominate.

Personally feel we should focus on our fitness and overall health. If we get the consistency right at what we do then we can excel at any stage whatsoever.

Anirudh to enthrall with a new dimensional folk number

ANIRUDH TO ENTHRALL WITH A NEW-DIMENSIONAL FOLK NUMBER FOR KANAA

A pure commonality exists among all the music directors who work with Anirudh and it looks inevitably convincing as well. In fact, this has been a pre-existing scenario even before this young musical sparkler debuted in film industry. 

This time, its music director Dhibu Ninan Thomas sharing those same words as he shares his experience while recently recording a folk song with Anirudh for the film ‘Kanaa’. 

“We recorded the song at midnight at Anirudh’s studio that had an informal set up. It was so much easy to work with him. All throughout the session, we could feel the positive and cool vibes prevalent there, which made the song come out well,” says Dhibu Ninan Thomas, who has composed a new dimensional folk number for Aishwarya Rajesh starrer ‘Kanaa’, directed by Arunraja Kamaraj. “We have tried something on a new panache with the folk genre. Usually, the instruments like Piano and strings would have more emphasis in melodic romantic numbers, but we have utilized it for a folk number that comes blended with our traditional assets of Thavil and Nathaswaram,” opines Dhibu. 

Furthermore, he adds citing that although Anirudh has crooned many folk numbers, this one will be gratuitously new from his kitty. The versatile lyricist Arunraja Kamaraj has penned this beauteous folk song, which will be filmed Aishwarya Rajesh and Darshan. The latter plays Aishwarya’s love interest and this song is about he tries to woo his beloved belle. 

Touted to be a film based on women cricket, Kanaa marks the debut of Sivakarthikeyan as a producer with his newly launched production studio –Sivakarthikeyan Productions. The film featuring Aishwarya Rajesh and Sathyaraj in lead roles has geared up for its audio launch to be held in grandeur on August 23. While Sivakarthikeyan had recently announced of having three most adorable pillars of his career – Filmmaker Pandiraj, Anirudh and D Imman to launch the film’s audio, Smriti Mandhana - Indian Women's Cricket Team Captain will be the guest of honour for this occasion and she will be launching the audio.
