COLORS Tamil’s popular fiction show Thirumanam is back with new episodes

COLORS Tamil continues to lift the entertainment quotient during the lockdown
by offering viewers a wide bouquet of exciting shows. The iconic television hit
Thirumanam will be back next week on Monday, July 20 at prime time with
original episodes, full of gripping twists and turns. At the same time, Oviya and
Uyire will have a refreshing new look, with new leads carrying the story forward.

Here is a quick low-down on the shows that you can’t afford to miss:

 Oviya (Monday to Saturday, 7:30 PM) – COLORS Tamil’s mega-hit, Oviya,
crossed a new milestone earlier this week, completing 400 engrossing episodes.
It now embarks on a new journey, with Oviya learning the truth behind her
marriage with Saravanan. But there is unexpected trouble in her and Surya’s
lives as Vaseekaran and Saravanan start suspecting their relationship. Tune in

Amman (Monday to Saturday, 8 PM) – Shakthi, the most spiritually favoured girl

toll on her. On the other hand, Neelakandan goes missing after a quarrel

Mangalya Dhosham (Monday to Saturday, 9 PM) – Despite Arumugam

‘Vettai’, ‘Arivaan - The Revelation’ and ‘Uyire - Ties that bind’ are available for the viewers to watch during the lockdown as part of ZEE5’s #BeCalmBeEntertained initiative

 

National, 14th May 2020: ZEE5, the largest OTT platform in the country, premieres three unique digital exclusive Tamil shows for the audience. One episode releases every day per show – ‘Vettai’ at 8.30 pm followed by ‘Arivaan - The Revelation’ at 9 pm and ‘Uyire - Ties that bind’ at 9.30 pm.

 

‘Arivaan – The Revelation’, revolves around Hari, a retired police officer, who teams up with his estranged god brother, Deva, in order to nab a serial killer. Witness an action-packed thriller drama, as the duo unearth a shocking truth on their mission. Starring Jabu Deen, James Kumar, Gayathri Segaran, Udaya Soundari and R Venga. Directed by D. ‘Uyire – Ties that bind’, is about Raghavan and his family, who seem to have it all - happiness, wealth and an unshakeable family bond. ‘Vettai’ (Season 1, 2, 4) is about a special task force assembled to tackle cold cases pertaining to the Indian community and Indian immigrants. The unit is kept under wraps, but their work is consuming to say the least. The main plot of the drama begins when the chief of the unit, Mr Dayanidhi is mysteriously found dead on the last few days of his retirement. ~Uyire breaks stereotypes with a story about pre-marriage pregnancy~

Even as the new game show Kodeeswari is wooing television viewers across the entire state, COLORS Tamil is ready with a thought-provoking show that promises to break many stereotypes. Revolving around pre-marriage pregnancy, UYIRE narrates the story of a simple, innocent girl who transforms into a strong, confident woman as she fights for her unborn child. True to its philosophy and reputation, COLORS Tamil presents another clutter breaking offering. The underlying message of the show is that’s having a child without the certificate of a marriage is a woman’s individual choice and, indeed, her right. The show goes a long way in truly empowering women in the society in a real manner. The bold but gripping show, UYIRE, hits the small screens on January 2 and will be aired from Monday to Saturday at 9.30 PM.

Pavithra lives a simple, upright life, upholding the values taught by her late father. She falls in love but her ambitious, politically-inclined mother kills her lover, as he doesn’t fit into her scheme of things. She even forces Pavithra to marry a single-parent named Sezhiyan, who is seeking a mother’s love for his son. The cunning mother hopes that the marriage will advance her own plans of becoming a major political power. But then, Pavithra realises that she is already pregnant with her lover’s child.
