BMW India to increase prices by up to 4% 

from 1 January 2019

Gurgaon. BMW India will increase prices by up to 4% across the product portfolio with effect from 1 January 2019.

From 1 January 2019, BMW India will increase the prices of its cars by up to 4%. BMW India will continue to present an extremely attractive value to its customers through pioneering products, best-in-class bmw service experience and comprehensive financial solutions and offers from BMW India Financial Services.”

The range of locally produced BMW cars in India include the BMW 3 Series, the BMW 3 Series Gran Turismo, the BMW 5 Series, the BMW 6 Series Gran Turismo, the BMW 7 Series, the BMW X1, the BMW X3, the BMW X5 and the MINI Countryman.

BMW dealerships also display the BMW X6, the BMW Z4, the BMW M2 Competition, the BMW M3 Sedan, the BMW M4 Coupe, the BMW M5 Sedan, the BMW X5 M, the BMW X6 M and the BMW i8 which are available in the country as completely built-up units (CBU).

BMW India is a 100% subsidiary of the BMW Group and is headquartered in Gurgaon (National Capital Region). Till date, BMW Group has invested over INR 5.2 billion (€ 72 million) in BMW India. The wide range of BMW activities in India include a manufacturing plant in Chennai, a parts warehouse in Mumbai, a training centre in Gurgaon NCR and development of a dealer organisation across metropolitan centres of the country. Currently, BMW India has 44 sales outlets in the Indian market. The total number of employees at BMW Group India is 650.

BMW India commenced its exclusive driving program – BMW JOYFEST 2018 in Chennai today. The two day event in Chennai will showcase the driving dynamics, modern functionality and high performance of the entire BMW product portfolio. 

The BMW JOYFEST is a specially curated platform for customers and prospects to experience the extraordinary control, maneuverability and the grit of the signature BMW xDrive: the intelligent all-wheel drive system of the BMW X family of sports activity vehicles (SAVs) and explore the ultimate luxury, unsurpassed comfort and advance driving dynamics of other BMW sedans and sporty M cars.

The first-ever BMW 6 Series Gran Turismo, the all-new BMW M5, the all-new BMW 5 Series, BMW 7 Series, the all-new BMW X3, BMW X1 and BMW X5 will be available for test drive to participants. 

Further, BMW certified trainers will offer valuable advice on various driving techniques like slalom, fast laps, corner braking and emergency braking. The BMW 7 series will be on special display.

Delhi NCR. The BMW X1 sDrive20i has been launched in India today. With this launch, the sportiest premium compact sports activity vehicle (SAV), the BMW X1 is also available in a petrol variant offering dynamic ability, unbeatable efficiency and exquisite comfort both on and off road.

The BMW X1 sDrive20i is locally produced at BMW Group Plant Chennai and can be ordered from BMW dealerships from today onwards. The BMW X1 sDrive20i has been introduced in an exclusive ‘xLine’ design scheme that bestows practicality and modern styling.

The BMW X1 sDrive20i

xLine is the perfect choice to further emphasise the off-road character of BMW X1. The boldly designed kidney grille slats in aluminium matt and grille frame in chrome high-gloss set clear visual accents.  The 18'' light alloy wheels in Y-spoke style accentuate the dynamic character of the BMW X1 sDrive20i. Door sill finishers in aluminium with BMW lettering and sport leather steering wheel in the interior stylishly round off the xLine. The xLine design scheme also features panorama sunroof and ambient lighting scheme in orange or white variable.

The two-litre four cylinder petrol engine of the BMW X1 sDrive20i is BS-VI compliant and produces an exceptional power output of 141 kW / 192 hp and a maximum torque of 280 Nm at just 1,350 – 4,600 rpm. The car accelerates from 0 to 100 km / hr in 7.6 seconds with a top speed of 224 km / hr.

The petrol variant of X1 features an all-new seven-speed Steptronic sport automatic double clutch transmission that performs smooth, almost imperceptible gear shifts.
