Jai’s action thriller movie titled ‘Yenni Thuniga’  

Actor Jai’s lineup of movies for the upcoming season is proving to be unique in aspects of genre and premise. He has now kick-started his new project ‘Yenni Thuniga’, a high volatile thriller movie. Produced by Suresh Subramaniam for Rain of Arrow Entertainment, the film marks the directorial debut of SK Vettri Selvan, a former associate of director Vasanth and cinematographer Ravi K Chandran. He has shot several commercial advertisements as well.  The film’s shooting commenced this morning with a ritual ceremony attended by cast and crew.

Director SK Vettri Selvan says, “The film’s title Yenni Thuniga is inspired from the famous proverb of Thirukural, which signifies that several thoughts can be allowed before getting into action, but once started, there shouldn’t be stepping back. Such happens to be the characterization of our film’s protagonist Kathir, played by Jai who works in an IT company. He leads his life with the motto of “Living the moment” and that doesn’t mean, he has the devil-may-care attitude. He is good natured and is always caring about his family and friends. In contrast, there is Narmada, played by Athulya Ravi, who is so much focused and concerned about her future and others as well. However, these characters with chalk and cheese nature tend to fall in love with each other. But the film’s main conflict arises, when Jai’s peaceful life is disturbed by a bunch of bigwigs in the society, who create chaos in his life. Now he has to step forward and combat them down. This will be an out and out racy thriller film laced with twists and turns.”

While speaking about the cast and crew, SK Vettri Selvan adds, “It is well known that Jai is always outstanding with his performance and dance. In this film, he will be seen performing some extraordinary Live action sequences. I am sure; Athulya will be definitely noted for her nuance performances. Although, both of them have shared the screen space together in the movie ‘Capmaari’, their roles and this film will be completely in contrast to it. Sunil Reddy, Vaibhav’s elder brother, who debuted in films through Seethakaathi will be playing a negative role. We are now approaching one of the leading artistes to play another negative character in the film and will making official announcement on this soon.”

Anjali Nair will be seen playing another female lead in this movie, which has an ensemble star-cast. Sam CS (Music),JB Dinesh Kumar (Cinematography),  VJ Sabu Joseph (Editor), GN Murugan (Stunt), Sherif (Choreography), NJ Sathya (Costume designer), ‘96’ fame Karthik Netha (Lyrics) and Raja (Publicity design) are the main technicians involved in the film.

Vaibhav teams up with debut filmmaker Chachi for a Rom-Com

An innocuous face and look owns a luxurious advantage for it becomes a great asset for an actor as it stands out to be an endowment to impress universal audiences. Obviously, it’s a commonality factor that would befittingly look perfect for any genre. Significantly, actor Vaibhav has found himself lucky to have been gifted with such traits. Be it a supernatural thriller, horror-comedy, Rom-Com or anything, he instantly becomes the cynosure. We hear the same from debut filmmaker Chachi whose having him onboard for his film produced by Dinesh Kannan and Sridhar for Wallmate Entertainment. 

 

“Yes, the first and foremost thing that the script demanded was the innocence embellished protagonist, which I found so much prevalent in myriad with Vaibhav. Just look into his movies till the date and every film will stand out to be a perfect justification,” says filmmaker Chachi, who had been associated to writer-Director Viji for nearly 6 years before embarking on his directorial venture.  

This untitled film produced by Dinesh Kannan and Sridhar on behalf of Wall mate Entertainment will be a Romantic Comedy, which our filmmaker openly admits wouldn’t be an unconventional one. “My film has a hero, heroine and a villain. My protagonist over here belongs to a middle class family, whose life takes a turn after an unexpected incident. So it’s almost like a run-off-the-mill tale as it might sound now. But then, the treatment we have offered will definitely give a fresh experience.”

As Director Chachi winds up he claims that the long wait of 2 years to kick start his directorial was that he was waiting for the right production house and everything has fell in right place now.

It’s obvious that Director Chachi is too perfect with his judgments over bringing Vaibhav on board. Absolutely, everyone loves Vaibhav for his innocent looks and nature  that nurtures his characterizations in every movie.

The overflowing season of supernatural comedies have never made the audiences pushed into boredom. Naturally, everyone loves a blend of experience of tickles our funny bones with chills on our spines. This has been the magic of such an amalgamated mixture working out its finest results. However, it’s a toughest task to get involved as an auteur to bring up things with appropriate perfection. Here comes TAANA directed by Yuvaraj Subramani, which is being crafted with an uttermost motto to enthrall the audiences, especially the lovers of this genre.

While sharing about the star-cast, producer opines, “Vaibhav has always remains on his closest to this genre of supernatural comedy proving his best through the movies like ‘Hello Naan Pei Pesuren’.  Nandita Swetha is one among the rarest actors, who can give a spontaneous emoting spell towards any situations. Significantly, with such a perfect choice of actors including Yogi Babu and Pandiarajan preferred by director, I felt everything is set in right place. In particular, Yogi Babu will have a prominent role than being just a routine witty amuser. His characterization would be found throughout the film, which will be enjoyed by audience.”
