Walter Pre-Release Event 

Sibiraj’s Walter directed by Anbu and produced by Shruthi Tilak for 11:11 Productions is scheduled for worldwide release on March 13, 2020.With a week left for the film’s release, the cast and crew attended the Pre-Release Event addressing the press and media.

Producer Shruthi Tilak said, “We have already spoken a lot about the film during the audio launch. I request press and media to take forward the film towards the public for a better reach. We have given our best into the film and awaiting your response.”

Art Director Elayaraja said, “This is my first film as art director and I thank producers for giving me an opportunity to be a part of this project. Just like how ‘Walter Vetrivel’ happened to be a turning point for Sathyaraj sir, this one will be a milestone in the career of Sibiraj sir as well. Technicians have worked a lot harder towards the film’s best output and I wish the entire team for good success.”

Actress Yamini Sundara said, “Walter is a special film and it happens to be my debut movie as well. It’s really happy to be a part of bigger team. I have got an important role to play in this movie. I am sure, everyone will love this film.”

Actress Riythvika said, “We as a team have strived hard to give a good movie and have now passed on to your hands. We are curiously awaiting your reviews and request press and media to support us.”

Actor Abhishek said , “Director Anbu has given a good movie. Working with Sibiraj, Natty and Samuthirakani sir has been a good experience.  I am confident everyone in the theatres will enjoy the movie.”

Executive Producer Prabhu Tilak said, “A producer’s duty owns a baggage of responsibility. Right from the script hearing session to the process of getting it materialized and released, it offers lots of lessons and experiences with every project. A film can create a huge impact on the society and I wanted to make films that will impart some good values to the audiences as they can take back home. Walter is such a movie with good commercial entertainment factors. We as a team had lots of creative difference of opinions and yes, it’s a part and parcel in family life. However, our motive behind such conflicts was to give a best and better output. Now to see that the film has shaped up well, we are keeping our fingers crossed awaiting good and positive response from press, media and audiences.”

Actor Natty said, “Walter owns an engaging screenplay and I was very much engrossed when the director narrated me this script. It’s really difficult to make a film as narrated by a filmmaker and Anbu has excelled with perfection. It will be a whistleblower flick creating awareness across the society. To work with Sibiraj, it was like watching his father Sathyaraj sir perform. Samuthirakani sir is a close friend of mind and it’s been a greater experience working with him. The entire family of Producers belongs to the police department and they have made this film with a motto of offering a good movie for audiences.”

Director Anbu said, “When I approached Sibiraj sir, I told him couple of scripts among which, he chose this one. It’s been a long journey for all of us with Walter and to see that the movie is approaching the big day of release, we are really excited and at the same time curious to see how the audiences are taking it. I thank Sibiraj sir for completely trusting me and giving me the great opportunity. Natty brother has been a big support for the film and everyone in the movie have worked hard for the film’s best output.”

Actor Sibiraj said, “When a good script with good values is written, it will eventually attract more goodness into it. Such happens to be the case with Walter. When we started the journey of ‘Walter’, we never knew that the movie has so many good artistes and technicians. More than all, it has got a wonderful production house after going through various producers. When I got to hear that Natty is getting onboard for an important role, I was quite excited and at the same time, little nervous to share the screen space with him. I have a big respect for him. Just like how I feel nervous to act with my father Sathyaraj and Vadivelu sir, it was same with Natty sir as well.  But he was a greater support for me. Crossing several stages, the film has reached a good stature now. We are happy that the film’s satellite rights has been acquiredby Sun TV prior to the film’s release. Walter will be an enjoyable film for all.”

Natty replaces Gautham Vasudev Menon in Sibiraj’s Walter 

Cinematographer-actor Natty (a) Nataraj Subramaniam has been celebrated for his multi-faceted onscreen roles, where he is easily adaptable to any characters. Having won decorous reception for his performance in Sivakarthikeyan’s Namma Veettu Pillai, he will be now seen replacing Gautham Vasudev Menon in Sibiraj’s ‘Walter’.  Confirming the news, debutant U Anbu, director of this film says, “As known to everyone, we had initially approached Gautham Vasudev Menon sir for this particular role and he was really excited to don this character. However, he couldn’t take up the project owing to his call sheet issues and directorial commitments. Later, we had to consider many artistes and finally approached Natty sir after the release of Namma Veettu Pillai. 

Despite heavy downpour of offers, he wasn’t on a hurry to sign projects. He told us that he would agree to be a part of this film only after hearing the complete script. Finally, he gave a nod as he liked the film’s premise and his role as well. We started shooting his portions 15 days ago across Kumbakonam, Chennai and Tanjore.”

While there have been erstwhile claims that Natty will be seen in antagonistic shades, director Anbu clarifies opining, “That’s not the actual definition! It is a character that is neither positive nor negative. It will keep you in guesses till the end and that’s his USP,” and continues, “We are confident that his character will find a good reception among audiences.”

Talking about Sibiraj’s performance, Anbu says, “His talents needn’t be mentioned by a newcomer like me for everyone in the industry knows about it. When I speak about his potentials, it isn’t simply limited to wearing the greasepaint and facing the camera, but his knowledge about filmmaking and technical aspects is astounding. He has given complete life to this cop avatar in ‘Walter’.”

Directed by U Anbu, ‘Walter’ is produced by Shruthi Tilak for 11:11 Productions. The film has Shirin Kanchwala of ‘Nenjamundu Nermaiyundu Odu Raja’ playing the female lead and Samuthirakani appears in a prominent role.

Actor Sibiraj-Shirin Kanchwala starrer "Walter" directed by U. Anbarasan has created decorous curiosities for many exciting reasons. From the unique factor of shooting an edge-seared thriller in Kumbakonam, the temple town of Tamil Nadu and having top-notch artistes, the film has made a tremendous mark. Now with the film’s shooting being wrapped up in a short span of time, the dubbing works have commenced today.

Sharing the news, Producer Shruthi Thilak of 11:11 Productions says, "The entire production phase of Walter has been completed in a flash pace, which I am really surprised and happy about. Although, the narration by filmmaker Anbarasan and the shooting plans looked perfect on papers, I had some assumptions that the shooting scheduled might get extended a bit as there were lots of action sequences involved. However, it was surprising to see the efficiency of entire team - both the artistes and technicians nailing it down perfectly without any delays. We are happy that the dubbing works have commenced today and we will be winding up with the post-production process shortly."

Bankrolled by Shruthi Thilak for 11:11 Productions, Walter is an edge-seated action thriller with Sibiraj playing the role of a police officer. While Shirin Kanchwala will be seen playing the female lead, Samuthirakani, Sanam Shetty, Riythvika and few more familiar actors  are playing important characters in the film.

Shirin Kanchwala speaks on “Nenjamundu Nermaiyundu Odu Raja”

Exhibiting her endowment of talents through modeling and acting across a year, Shirin Kanchwala has played the female lead role opposite Rio Raj in Sivakarthikeyan Productions’ ‘Nenjamundu Nermaiyundu Odu Raja’. With the film’s patch up works and post-production happening simultaneously, the actress has been over delighted about the great experience of working with this team. 

Actress Shirin Kanchwala opens up saying, “I was working as an air hostess with Jet Airways for nearly 3 years. I am feeling really lucky that I got an opportunity to be associated with Sivakarthikeyan Productions. I am thankful to both Sivakarthikeyan sir and Karthik Venugopalan sir for giving me the chance to be a part of this film. The entire unit was so friendly to me and I could relish the joy of each and every moment in this film. It wasn’t just about Sivakarthikeyan-Karthik Venugopalan, but every artiste and technician in the film was really helpful and supportive to me. Rio Raj has given a remarkable performance and his acting skills are completely splendid. I have seen his TV shows and to see him perform here is absolutely fantastic for he accomplished even some tough scenes in single takes. It’s my first Tamil movie and so much focused on working on many projects that are script driven.” 

While Rio Raj and Shirin Kanchwala are playing the lead roles in this film, the star-cast of Nenjamundu Nermaiyundu Odu Raja features Radharavi, Nanjil Sampath, RJ Vigneshkanth and few more familiar YouTube personalities in important roles. 

The technical team comprises of Shabir (Music), U.K. Senthil Kumar (Cinematography), Fenny Oliver (Editor), Pradeep Kumar (Stunts), Dinesh (Costume Designer) and Kamalanathan (Art). 

While 80% of the film will be a fun-filled comedy caper, it holds a strong message by the end, which the team believes will appeal to the universal audiences.

There are some leaders who are alive eternally despite  their departure, Dr. M G Ramachandran is one such leader who reigns in the heart of the people of Tamil Nadu. 

He has left a lasting impression with his songs too that gain strength from decade to decade and generation to generation. Siva Karthikeyan, who has proved himself as a successful producer in his maiden production ‘Kanaa’ has titled his second production as ‘Nenjamundu Nermaiyundu Odu Raja’. It is to be noted that the title "Nenjamundu Nermaiyundu odu Raja" is incorporated from a very popular song of MGR. This  film is directed by Karthik Venugopalan who had shot into fame with Black Sheep, a YouTube Channel.

The film features Rj Vignesh, Shirin Kanchwala, Put Chutney’s Raj Mohan, Radha Ravi and Nanjil Sampath. Music is composed by Shabir with cinematography by U.K Senthilkumar while Fenny Oliver has been roped in as the Editor and S. Kamalanathan as the Art Director.
