“அயலான்” பெயர் வெளியாவதற்கு முன்பு, இப்படம் ஆரம்பித்த தருணத்திலிருந்தே பலரது புருவத்தை உயர்த்தி, எதிர்பார்ப்பின் உச்சத்தை விதைத்த படமாக மாறியிருக்கிறது.  தமிழில் அறிவியல்புனைவு கதைகள் என்பது முயற்சிக்கபடாத அரிய  கனவு. ஹாலிவுட்டின்  வெற்றி சரித்தரமாக விளங்கும்   இந்த அறிவியல் புனைவு வகை படத்தை பிரமாண்டமாக தமிழில் தர தயாராகியுள்ளது “அயாலான்” குழு. சிவகார்த்திகேயனின் பிறந்தநாள் சிறப்பாக 17.02.2020 அன்று  “டாக்டர்” படக்குழு தங்கள் படத்தின் ஃபர்ஸ்ட் லுக்கை வெளியிட அதனை ரசிகர்கள் கொண்டாடி தீர்க்கும் முன், அவர்களுக்கு அடுத்ததொரு இன்ப அதிர்ச்சியாக, “அயலான்” படத்தின் ஃபர்ஸ்ட் லுக்கை வெளியிட்டிருக்கிறது இப்படத்தின் படக்குழு. ஏற்கனவே A. R. ரஹ்மான் இசைத்துணுக்குடன் வெளியிடப்பட்ட டைட்டில், பெரும் வரவேற்பு பெற்ற நிலையில் வேற்றுகிரக வாசியுடன் வெளிவந்திருக்கும் “அயாலான்” ஃபர்ஸ்ட் லுக்கை ரசிகர்கள் கொண்டாடி வருகிறார்கள்.



“அயலான்” படத்தின் படப்பிடிப்பு 75 சதவீதம் முடிக்கப்பட்டுவிட்டது. மொத்த படப்பிடிப்பும் முடிய  இன்னும் இரண்டு கட்ட படப்பிடிப்பு மட்டுமே மீதமிருக்கிறது. போஸ்ட் புரடக்‌ஷன் பணிகளும் படப்பிடிப்புடன் இணையாக நடைபெற்று வருகிறது.தமிழின் பிரமாண்டமான அறிவியல் புனைகதை ( சயின்ஸ் ஃபிக்‌ஷன் )  படமாக இப்படம் உருவாகிறது. எனவே படத்தில் அதிகளவிலான  விஷுவல் எஃபெக்ட்ஸ் காட்சிகள் இடம்பெற்றுள்ளன. அதனை முன்னிட்டு படப்பிடிப்பின் போதே போஸ்ட் புரடக்‌ஷன் பணிகளும் இணையாக நடைபெற்று வருகிறது. இந்தியா முழுதும் முன்னணி நாயகியாக வலம் வரும் ராகுல் ப்ரீத் சிங் சிவகார்த்திகேயன் ஜோடியாக நடிக்கிறார். காமெடி ராஜாக்களாக வலம் வரும் கருணாகரன், யோகிபாபு ஆகிய இருவரும் இப்படத்தில் சிவகார்த்திகேயனுடன் இணைந்து காமெடி செய்கிறார்கள். பாலிவுட்டில் மிக  சிறந்த நடிகராக விளங்கும் சரத் கேல்கர் ஒரு முக்கிய பாத்திரத்தில் நடிக்கிறார்.

Sivakarthikeyan’s ‘Ayalaan’ has never missed triggering off the bonanzas in an unlimited mode from the time it went on floors. The film has found an unprecedented caliber of keeping the spotlights turned statically upon it. Especially, with the recent announcement of the title that was packaged along with the signature tunes of AR Rahman has intensified the film’s attention factors. With the actor delivering an enchanting treat for his birthday through the first look of ‘Doctor’ this morning (February 17, 2020), the team of “Ayalaan” doesn’t want to leave the twilight hours fade without celebrations and have unveiled the film’s first look now.  

Currently, the film has completed 75% of shooting with just 2 more schedules left for the entire filming to wrap up. The post-production phase is simultaneously happening as the entire VFX team has already started working on the visual effects. Rakul Preet Singh, who has carved a niche as one of the leading Pan-Indian actresses is playing the female lead as Sivakarthikeyan’s love interest. The hilarious quotients are going to be unlimited as Karunakaran and Yogi Babu will offer them in abundance. Bollywood’s well-celebrated actor Sharad Kelkar will be seen essaying a pivotal role in this film. With RD Raja producing the film for 24 AM Studios, KJR Studios Kotapadi J Rajesh will be releasing it worldwide.

The inquisitiveness has already peaked up higher as AR Rahman will be crooning Sivakarthikeyan’s introduction number, which was revealed by the action himself earlier. Adding visual magic with unique treatment from one film to another, Nirav Shah’s cinematography will be one of the promising assets of Ayalaan, which has editing by Ruben.

Prabhudeva’s remade version of Muqabla receives love and praises from all over!

Over the past few years Bollywood has been dealing with a fever where every director is remaking old movies and many music composers are trying their hands at recreating old songs which made our childhood blissful. The year 2019 saw many remakes from movies to songs. While many failed to impress the audiences only a few were appreciated, one of which is dancing legend Prabhudeva’s recently released song Muqabla from Bhushan Kumar’s Street Dancer 3D.

It has been more than two decades since Prabhudeva had first danced to the tunes of Muqabla, which was originally composed by A.R. Rahman, and had set a new definition for dancing. Now, the superstar is once again setting up a storm online with another fabulous version of Muqabla. The song, though a recreation, has been praised by the audience everywhere as actors Varun Dhawan and Shraddha Kapoor match their steps with the legend.

Muqabla has become one of the few songs that have lived up to the mark of its original song and the recreated version from Bhushan Kumar’s Street Dancer 3D has garnered all the love from the fans as much as the old song did. From Tanishk Bagchi’s composition to Yash Narvekar and Parampara Thakur’s soulful voices, the recreated version has set a rage online and will continue to do so in the coming days.

Not only has the song garnered praises from all corners of the world, but it has also set an example for other renditions to recreate many beautiful songs that should be remixed without letting it lose its soul.

All we can say is that the tunes of Muqabla belong to Prabhudeva and he has owned them like the King of Dance that he is!

*KM Music Conservatory student Lydian Nadhaswaram wins One Million US Dollars

KM Music Conservatory, as it celebrates 11 years of bringing international music training to the future generations of kaman students, hosted a special function this Thursday to honour Lydian’s achievements. The event was made all the more special with his inspirational win on the international CBS show ‘The World’s Best’.  

Lydian Nadhaswram, the child prodigy musician from Chennai has been making waves the world over with his brilliance and vivacity at the keys. Rajiv Menon (of Minsara Kanavu and Kandukondain Kandukondain fame) will premiere his film, “Sarvam Thaalamayam” at the 31st Tokyo International Film Festival before releasing it in Indian theatres. Set across various locations in India including Kashmir, Shillong, Jaipur, Kerala, it stars G V Prakashkumar, Nedumudi Venu, Aparna Balamurali, Vineeth and DD. 

With music scored by A R Rahman, the film is about a gifted young musician from a unprivileged family who wishes to learn the art of learning to mridangam from the a top Maestro, he faces rejection from the Carnatic music community as well as from his family. “Kaatrin Mozhi will offer a new and fresh experience even for the ones who have seen Tumhari Sulu” – Radha Mohan 

Certainly, there are few films that cross beyond the label called ‘Female centric’ flicks and easily have its realms among the male cohorts too. That’s quite a rarity, where premise and themes are proved to be a justified ones.




Such is the illustrative case of ‘Tumhari Sulu’ that comes adapted by the critically acclaimed filmmaker Radha Mohan with the remake in Tamil titled ‘Kaatrin Mozhi’. Striding through the streak of success with hat-trick spell in ‘Kaatrin Mozhi’, ‘Magalir Mattum’ and ‘Nachiyaar’, actress Jyotika strikes back with a phenomenal role. 

Of course, with this Radha Mohan-Jyothika duo combo that delivered an ever cherishing movie ‘Mozhi’ before a decade, it still appears fresh soulful. Ask Filmmaker Radha Mohan of how he feels to be associated with ace actress Jyotika now. He says, “This is completely new when it comes to Jyotika and my erstwhile association with her in ‘Mozhi’. She was someone, who doesn’t utter a word and yet convey more emotions and expressions through her eyes in Mozhi.


But ‘Kaatrin Mozhi’ is something exactly in contrast, where we you would find her indulged with talkative nature.”

While there are many female centric movies, what actually prompted Radha Mohan to go for specific choice of Tumhari Sulu. “One day, Jyotika called me up and asked if I had seen the Hindi film ‘Tumhari Sulu’ with a suggestion that it would be an apt to remake it. It was then,




I saw the film and felt it would be apt one too. So things proceeded as it was and I must really thank BOFTA Dhananjayan sir for being a complete support in turning our dreams into reality.” 

One of the most highlighting attributes about the film’s progress was the shooting being wrapped in a short span of time. Radha Mohan says, “Everything was completely planned and well written even before the commencement of shoot. In this manner, there weren’t any confusion during the shoot. We would prepare the entire portions involving the actors and give the dialogue and script papers a day before the shoot. This made the process flow through smoothly.”

Radha Mohan furthermore adds that even for the ones who have already watched the film ‘Tumhari Sulu’, it’s going to be a different experience with ‘Tumhari Sulu’. “Remaking a film exactly as its original version isn’t a big deal. But we have made so many changes according to the regional tastes, especially with the culture and lifestyle over here. We have included some additional characters in the film, which will be offering a fresh experience indeed,” utters Radha Mohan. 

Actor Vidhaarth on his part adds saying, “I have played the role of Jyotika’s husband in the movie. The film showcases the bonding of emotions and understanding between a married couple here. I haven’t acted in such a role till now. I am happy and confident that this role will gain me certainly the good reception among the audiences.” 

While Lakshmi Manchu is performing an important role in this film, STR will be found in a cameo role. Other in the cast includes Kumaravel, Bhaskar, Manobala, Mohan Raman, Uma Padmanabhan and many more prominent actors… Mahesh Muthusamy is handling cinematography for this film, which has musical score by A.H. Kaashif, nephew of Academy Award winner AR Rahman.
