என்.ஐ.டி திருச்சிராப்பள்ளி, வேதியியல் பொறியியல் துறையில் "தொழில்நுட்ப மற்றும் உயர் கல்வி

என்.ஐ.டி திருச்சிராப்பள்ளி, வேதியியல் பொறியியல் துறையில் 
"தொழில்நுட்ப மற்றும் உயர் கல்வி நிறுவனங்களில் தர உறுதி மற்றும் NBA 
அங்கீகாரத்தின் தேவைகள் பற்றிய விளக்கம்" என்ற தலைப்பில் ஒரு வார பயிற்சி 
பட்டறையின் தொடக்க விழா ஆன்லைன் மூலம் ஜூலை 19, 2021 காலை 9 மணிக்கு 
நடைபெற்றது. நிகழ்ச்சியின் முதன்மை விருந்தினர்கள், சிங்கப்பூர் தேசிய 
பல்கலைக்கழகத்தைச் சேர்ந்த டாக்டர் லட்சுமிநாராயண சாமவேதம் மற்றும் அண்ணா 
பல்கலைக்கழகத்தின் எம்ஐடி வளாகத்தின் டீன், டாக்டர் டி.தியாகராஜன் 
ஆகியோர் கலந்து கொண்டனர்.

வேதியியல் பொறியியல் துறையின் தலைவரும் ஒருங்கிணைப்பாளருமான டாக்டர் 
பி.கலைச்செல்வி கூட்டத்தை வரவேற்று, துறையின் சாதனைகள் குறித்து 
விளக்கினார். மேலும், கடந்த 16 மாதங்களில்,  கோவிட் 19 இன் போது 
வேதியியல் பொறியியல் துறை,  கற்பித்தல், கற்றல் மற்றும்   
ஆராய்ச்சிப்பணிகளைத் தொடர்ந்து செய்ததாகவும் தெரிவித்தார்.

AICTE-MARGDARSHAN திட்டத்தின் நிறுவன ஒருங்கிணைப்பாளர்                   
        டாக்டர் என்.சிவகுமாரன், அவரது உரையின் போது பல புதுமையான 
திட்டங்கள் மூலம் இந்த திட்டத்தில் இணைக்கப்பட்ட கல்லூரிகளின் தர 
மேம்பாடுகளுக்கு எடுக்கப்பட்ட நடவடிக்கைகள் குறித்து குறிப்பிட்டார்.

வேதியியல் பொறியியல் துறை ஆசிரியரும், பயிற்சி பட்டறையின் 
ஒருங்கிணைப்பாளருமான டாக்டர் அருணகிரி, பட்டறையின் நோக்கங்கள், 
பங்கேற்பாளர்கள், நிறுவனங்களின் தன்மை, வெவ்வேறு தலைப்புகள் மற்றும் அது 
குறித்து பேசும் வல்லுநர்கள் பற்றியும் விளக்கி கூறினார்.


என்.ஐ.டி திருச்சிராப்பள்ளியின் கல்வித்துறை டீன் டாக்டர் ராமகல்யனான் 
அய்யகரி உயர்கல்வி தொடர்பான தரத்தின் முக்கியத்துவத்தை வலியுறுத்தினார். 
உயர்கல்வி தரம் அளவிடுவதற்கு ஆவணங்கள், செயல்படுத்தப்பட்ட கொள்கைகள், 
குறிப்பிட்ட கால தணிக்கை மற்றும் நல்ல பதிவுகள் தேவை என்றும், பட்டறை 
இளம் ஆசிரியர்களுக்கு ஒரு சரியான தளமாக அமையும் என்றும், இந்த பட்டறையில் 
கலந்து கொண்ட பிறகு, இந்த பட்டறையில் பெற்ற அறிவை தங்கள் சகாக்கள் 
மற்றும் பிற நிறுவனங்களுக்கும் பரப்ப முடியும் என்று குறிப்பிட்டார்.

கெளரவ விருந்தினராக கலந்து கொண்ட, எம்.ஐ.டி வளாகத்தின் டீன் டாக்டர் 
தியாகராஜன், என்ஐடி திருச்சிராப்பள்ளி போன்ற சிறந்த நிறுவனங்கள் NBA வின் 
தேவைகளுக்கு ஒரு தரத்தை நிர்ணயித்துள்ளன என்றும்,  டாக்டர் ஏ.பி.ஜே. 
அப்துல் கலாம், இயல்பு, மின்னணு மற்றும் அறிவு ஆகிய மூன்றுக்கும் உள்ள   
தொடர்பை மேற்கோள் காட்டி, இந்த பட்டறையை நடத்தும் 
ஒருங்கிணைப்பாளர்களையும் நிறுவனத்தையும் பாராட்டினார். தர 
உத்தரவாதத்திற்கு ABCD என்ற நான்கு அத்தியாவசிய பாகங்கள் , தணிக்கைக்கு A 
(Auditing), தரம் தீர்மானித்தல்
(Bench marking) B, சரிபார்ப்பு பட்டியலுக்கு C (Check list) மற்றும் 
ஆவணங்களுக்கான டி (Documents) முக்கியம் ஆகும் என்று குறிப்பிட்டார்.

முதன்மை விருந்தினர், சிங்கப்பூர் தேசிய பல்கலைக்கழகத்தின் டாக்டர் 
லக்ஷ்மிநாராயணன் சாமவேதம், தர மதிப்பீடு தயாரிப்பு குறித்து விரிவாகப் 
பேசினார். ஒரு ஆசிரியராக, திட்ட ஒருங்கிணைப்பாளராக மற்றும் கல்வித் 
தலைவராக  அவருடைய அன
ுபவத்தைப் பகிர்ந்து கொண்டார். கடந்த காலங்களில் 
இருந்து, தர  அங்கீகார முறை  எவ்வாறு மாறியுள்ளது என்பதையும், ஒரு 
ஆசிரியராகவும் நிர்வாகியாகவும் மேம்படுத்திக்கொள்ள எவ்வாறு உதவியது 
என்பதையும், அவர் தனது உரையில் பகிர்ந்து கொண்டார்.

இறுதியாக வேதியியல் பொறியியல் துறையும், பட்டறையின் ஒருங்கிணைப்பாளருமான

Inauguration of Workshop on Requirements of NBA Accreditation under AICTE Margadarshan Scheme

 The accreditation process changed the evaluation outlook from an open-loop system to a closed-loop system of the Teaching-Learning Process' prof Lakshminarayanan Samavedham,NUS,Singapore

The inaugural function of the one week workshop on “Quality assurance in Technical and Higher Educational Institutions and interpretation of Requirements of NBA Accreditation” was held on 
19th July 2021 at 9 am. The chief guests of the program were Dr.Lakshminarayanan Samavedham from National University of Singapore, Singapore and Dr.T.Thyagarajan, Dean of MIT campus, Anna University.

The Head of the Department of Chemical Engineering and Coordinator, Dr.P.Kalaichelvi welcomed the gathering and briefed on the achievements of the Department since its inception. She also mentioned 
that even during lockdown the Department has worked hard to keep teaching, learning and research alive. Dr.N.Sivakumaran, the Institute Coordinator of the AICTE-MARGDARSHAN 
scheme mentioned on the steps taken to bridge the gap between quality improvements of affiliated colleges through innovative programs.

Dr.Arunagiri, faculty of Department of Chemical Engineering and Coordinator of the workshop briefed about the objectives of the workshop as well as the nature of participants as well as institutions. He also updated the schedule of the workshop with respect to the topics of presentations as well as about the resource persons.

Dr.Ramakalyan Ayyagari, Dean (Academic) of NIT Tiruchirappalli emphasised the importance of quality related to higher education. He also mentioned that scaling up requires documentation, policy 
executed, periodic auditing and good records and the workshop will set itself as a perfect platform for the young faculty and also after attending this workshop, the  participants will be able to disseminate 
the knowledge gained in this workshop to their colleagues and other Institutes.

Dr.Thyagarajan, Dean, MIT campus was the guest of honour and insisted that outstanding institutions like NITT has set a standard towards the requirements of NBA. He quoted Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam’s mentioning of  three connectivities, such as physical, electronic and knowledge and appreciated the coordinators and the Institute for initiating this workshop. Quality assurance is all about ABCD, A for auditing, B for bench marking, C for checklist and D for documentation and are the four essential parts, he mentioned.

The Chief Guest Dr.Lakshminarayanan Samavedham, NUS, Singapore spoke on the preparation for Accreditation as a faculty, program coordinator and academic leader. He appreciated the Accreditation process as it changed the evaluation outlook from an open-loop system to a closed-loop system of the Teaching-Learning Process. He shared his experience on how the accreditation assessment helped him as a teacher as well as an administrator and how it helped in understanding the abilities a student is required to possess. Finally Dr.Sheeba, Department of Chemical Engineering and Coordinator 
of the workshop proposed the vote of thanks.

தேசிய தொழில்நுட்பக் கழகம் (என்ஐடி) திருச்சியில் உள்ள

தேசிய தொழில்நுட்பக் கழகம்  (என்ஐடி) திருச்சியில் உள்ள 
வேதித் தொழில் நுட்ப   துறையின் தொழில்நுட்ப கருத்தரங்கு  (அல்கெமி ’21)   
23.04.2021 அன்று தொடங்கி வைக்கப்பட்டது. இந்த மூன்று நாள் நிகழ்வை 
என்ஐடி திருச்சியின் வேதித் தொழில் நுட்ப   சங்கம் - சிஇஏ ( Chemical 
Engineering Association (ChEA) ஆன்லைன் மூலம் ஏற்பாடு செய்து இருந்தது.

இந்த  தொழில்நுட்ப கருத்தரங்கத்தை (அல்கெமி ’21) வேதித் தொழில் நுட்ப   
துறையைச் சேர்ந்த பேராசிரியர் டி. கே. ராதாகிருஷ்ணன் 
வரவேற்புரையாற்றினார். அவர், உலகளவில் பல்வேறு பல்கலைக்கழகங்களில் வேதி பொறியியல் துறையின் பங்களிப்பு குறித்து விளக்கினார்.  அல்கெமி ’21 மாணவ  தலைவர் சூர்யா, ஒட்டுமொத்த ஒருங்கிணைப்பாளர் காண்டே ஆஷிஷ் மற்றும் மாணவர் 
அமைப்பாளர்களின் ஒட்டுமொத்த குழுவினருக்கும் அவர் தனது பாராட்டுகளைத்  தெரிவித்தார். மேலும் அல்கெமி ஆசிரிய ஆலோசகராக தொடர்ந்து ஆதரித்த  பேராசிரியர் சரத் சந்திரபாபுக்கு அவர் நன்றி தெரிவித்தார். இறுதியாக,  பார்வையாளர்களின் உற்சாகமான பங்கேற்புக்கு நன்றி தெரிவித்தார். இதைத்  தொடர்ந்து இயக்குநர் டாக்டர் மினி ஷாஜி தாமஸ் தொடக்கி வைத்து  சிறப்புரையாற்றினார். வேதித் தொழில் நுட்ப   துறையின் தலைவர் பேராசிரியர்  பி.கலைச்செல்வி துறையின் பல்வேறு முன்னேற்றங்களையும், சாதனைகளையும்  குறிப்பிட்டு, பங்கேற்பாளர்கள், அமைப்பாளர்கள் மற்றும் ஆசிரிய  உறுப்பினர்கள் அனைவருக்கும் இந்த நிகழ்வை பெரிய வெற்றியாக  மாற்றியமைத்ததற்கு நன்றி தெரிவித்தார். சிறப்பு விருந்தினராக இந்திய  வேதித் தொழில் நுட்ப   நிறுவனத்தின் தலைவர் பேராசிரியர் எம் கே ஜா கலந்து கொண்டு சிறப்பித்தார். இவர் பெட்ரோ கெமிக்கல் இன்ஜினியரிங் துறையின் நவீன தொழில்நுட்பத்தை விவரித்து உரை வழங்கினார்.

திருச்சியின் என்.ஐ.டி.யில் வேதித் தொழில் நுட்ப துறையின் நிறுவனர் 
மற்றும் முதலாம் துறை தலைவர் நினைவாக தொடங்கப்பட்ட டாக்டர் எஸ். எச்.
இப்ராஹிம் அறக்கட்டளை சொற்பொழிவு (Endowment Lecture) அல்கெமி ' 21 
தொடக்க நாளிலும் நடைபெறும். இந்த ஆண்டு ஃப்ளூர் ஆஸ்திரேலியா லிமிடெட்  நிறுவனத்தின் முன்னணி பொறியியலாளர் திரு. ரவி சங்கரன், 'செயல்முறை  பாதுகாப்பு' குறித்த சொற்பொழிவை வழங்கினார். இந்த விரிவுரை மாணவர்களுக்கு  வேதித் பொறியயில் தொழில் குறித்து சிறந்த நுண்ணறிவுகளை வழங்கும்.

மூன்று நாட்களில் பல நிகழ்வுகள், காகித விளக்கக்காட்சிகள், வினாடி 
வினாக்கள்   மற்றும்  புகழ்மிக்க பிரபலங்களான  முனைவர் சுரேஷ்குமார் 
பாட்டியா, பேராசிரியர், குயின்ஸ்லாந்து பல்கலைக்கழகம்) மற்றும் முனைவர் 
சுதாசத்வா பாபு, இயக்குநர் அறிவியல் தொழில்துறை ஆராய்ச்சி கவுன்சில் 
போன்றவர்களின்   விரிவுரைகள் நடைபெறவுள்ளது. மாட்லாப் (MATLAB), ஆஸ்பென்  (ASPEN)  போன்ற பல பயிலரங்குகளும் (worshop) மற்றும் ஆய்வு கட்டுரை  எழுதுதல் ஆகியவற்றிக்கு சிறந்த வல்லுநர்களால் கைகோர்த்து பயிற்சி  அளிக்கவும்  ஏற்பாடு செய்யப்பட்டுள்ளன.  இது அனைத்தும் வேதி பொறியயில்  மாணவர்களுக்கும் பயனளிக்கும்.

அல்கெமி , 2013 முதல் வெற்றிகரமாக நடத்தப்பட்டு வருகிறது, இந்தியா 
முழுவதும் உள்ள பல்வேறு நிறுவனங்களில் இருந்து ஒவ்வொரு ஆண்டும் 1000 
க்கும் மேற்பட்ட மாணவர்களின் கவனத்தை ஈர்த்து வருகிறது. இந்த ஆண்டு,   
COVID-19 தொற்று நிலைமையின்  போதும்  கூட இந்த தொழில்நுட்ப 
கருத்தரங்குக்கு  (அல்கெமி ’21)  அதிக எண்ணிக்கையிலான பதிவுகள்  மற்றும்  பங்கேற்பாளர்கள் வந்துள்ளார்கள். முடிவில் மாணவ தலைவர் பி.ஜே. சுரேஷ் 
நன்றியுரை ஆற்றினார்.

The technical symposium of the Department of Chemical Engineering at NIT Trichy

The technical symposium of the Department of Chemical Engineering at NIT Trichy,  Alchemy, was inaugurated on 23rd April, 2021. The three day event is organized by the Chemical Engineering Association (ChEA) of NIT Trichy. Alchemy shifted to the online platform this year to continue
spreading knowledge and imparting a sense of interest in the field of chemical engineering,
despite all challenges.

The event kickstarted with an address by Prof. T. K. Radhakrishnan from the department of Chemical Engineering. He addressed the audience thanking them for their enthusiastic participation. He also noted his appreciation to the chairperson of Alchemy, Surya, the overall coordinator, Kande Ashish and the entire team of student organisers behind Alchemy. He thanked Prof. Sarat Chandrababu for his continued support as the faculty advisor of Alchemy. Prof. Sarat Chandrababu has been a major support to the symposium and has always been present during all technical activities. This was followed by the presidential address by the director, Dr. Mini Shaji Thomas. Prof. P. Kalaichelvi, the head of the Department of Chemical Engineering was also present and thanked all the participants, organizers and members of the faculty for their support in making the event a grand success. 

Prof. M  K Jha, the president of the Indian Institute of Chemical Engineers was  invited as the chief guest. He gave an enlightening speech elaborating the cutting-edge technology in the field of petrochemical engineering.

The Dr. S. H. Ibrahim Endowment Lecture, initiated in memory of the founding Head of the Department of Chemical Engineering, will also take place during the inaugural day of Alchemy. This year Mr. Ravi Sankaran, lead engineer at Fluor Australia Ltd, has been invited to 
give the lecture on 'Process Safety'. He is an experienced industry personnel and this lecture will give students great insights about the chemical engineering industry.

Multiple events will take place over the course of the three days. This includes paper presentations, quizzes and guest lectures by eminent personalities like Suresh Kumar Bhatia (Professor, University 
of Queensland) and Sudhhasatwa Babu (Director of Council of Scientific Industrial Research). Several workshops have  also been organised. They will provide  hands-on training in Matlab, Aspen and research  paper writing. This will be beneficial to all the chemical engineering students.

Alchemy has been conducted successfully since 2013 and attracts over 1000 students every year from different institutions all over India. The symposium witnessed high numbers of registrations this year too  and is off to a great start even during the COVID-19 pandemic.
