 VELAMMAL'S THROWBALL TEAM TRIUMPHS

Throwball girls team of Velammal Main School, Mogappair Campus bagged the Gold Medal in the State Level Championship for girls (open category)held at MEG Matric Hr. Sec.School , Puliampatti,Erode between 5th February and 7th February 2021.

This  State Level Tournament was organised by Satish Memorial Trust, Erode.

The girls team emerged victorious  in the finals defeating Pearl City, Thoothukudi with a score 25 - 21and 25 - 18. More than  40 teams participated in this tournament 

The school management congratulates the achievers on their remarkable feat.

Miss T Meenalakshmi, Class 12 of Velammal Vidyalaya, Mel Ayanambakam, represented Tamil Nadu and clinched the Gold Medal by defeating her Opponent from Srilanka with a score of 5-3 in the final round of Individual Kumite Championship held at Kotla Vijay Baskar Reddy Indoor Stadium, Telangana recently.

This event was organised by Shubukai Shito - KYU Karate Federation International.

About 600 students from various countries took part in this  International event.

Mukesh Kanna .G, Class 6 of Velammal Main School, Mogappair Campus, bagged the Gold medal at the 13th State Level Silambam and Kungfu Competition - 2020, in Silambam (individual) ( U-10) category, held at Vallal Sabapathy Hr. Sec. School, Chennai. The event was organised by Shaolin Buddha's Kungfu and Buddha's Silmba Palli Sports Academy Organization of India on 23.02.2020.

Around 500 participants from 9 districts participated in the State Level Competition.

VELAMMAL’S YOGA CHAMPIONS honoured

VELAMMAL’S YOGA CHAMPIONS WERE  HONOURED BY THE  GOVERNOR  OF TAMIL NADU

 Master R. K. Sri Santhana Balan, Class 2 and Master R. K. Sai Sri Kartick,Class 6 of Velammal Main School, Mogappair campus bagged the GOLD MEDAL in the U-8 & U-10 categories respectively in the Asian Invitational Yoga Championship-2019 organized by Indian Young Olympian Federation recognized by International Yoga Federation held at Goa recently. 

The Yoga Champs were honoured by the Hon'ble Governor of Tamil Nadu Shri Banwarilal Purohit at Raj Bhavan recently.

                              VELAMMAL WINS GOLD IN REPUBLIC DAY GAMES

       The U-14 Throwball girls team of Velammal Main School, Mogappair campus won the gold medals and the merit certificates as they emerged victorious in the finals by defeating Tirunelveli District team with a score of 8-15 in the first set and 15-10 in the second and 15 - 12 third set in the Republic Day Games 2019-20 at PMC College of Engineering Krishnagiri  Organized by the Government of School Education, Tamil Nadu held between 3rd February and 5th February, 2020. The team has emerged victorious among  32 teams.

          Velammal Main school Throwball  team becomes the first  ever team in Tamil Nadu to win Gold Medal in all three categories in RDG( U-14), RDG (U-17) and BDG ( U-19) .
