                              VELAMMAL WINS GOLD IN REPUBLIC DAY GAMES

       The U-14 Throwball girls team of Velammal Main School, Mogappair campus won the gold medals and the merit certificates as they emerged victorious in the finals by defeating Tirunelveli District team with a score of 8-15 in the first set and 15-10 in the second and 15 - 12 third set in the Republic Day Games 2019-20 at PMC College of Engineering Krishnagiri  Organized by the Government of School Education, Tamil Nadu held between 3rd February and 5th February, 2020. The team has emerged victorious among  32 teams.

          Velammal Main school Throwball  team becomes the first  ever team in Tamil Nadu to win Gold Medal in all three categories in RDG( U-14), RDG (U-17) and BDG ( U-19) .

The School Management congratulates the achievers on their remarkable feat.

Velammal Nexus Schools in association with RUN ADAM, has organized winter sports camp from. 21.12.19 to 28.12.19 for all schools students in the 6 to 16 years age group.

Coaching will be offered for the following courses Athletics, Basketball, Volleyball, Throwball, Kho-Kho, Kabaddi,Yoga, Football, Chess and Cricket. Eminent coaches will train the students.

Velammal Triumphs in Throwball

The Throwball Girls team (U-17) of Velammal Main School, Mogappair campus won trophy and the gold medal in the 61^st  Republic Day Games – 2018 at Little Flower School, Karur held recently.  

The team emerged victorious among 15 teams, defeating A.V.S High School in the finals with a score of 15-11, 15-8.  

The team has bagged gold medal for 3 consecutive years.
