Acquihires Hyderabad-based HUG Innovations
Launches its first full touch watch ‘Connected X’
Titan Company Limited, India’s leader in watches today made two
significant announcements to further strengthen and accelerate its
wearables journey. The company’s Watches and Wearables Business
announced the acquihire of Hyderabad-based technology company, HUG
Innovations.
In another significant move, the division announced the
launch of ‘Titan Connected X’, a full-touch smarat watch with over 13
smart features in the Indian market. The announcements were made at Titan NXT – Titan’s exclusive event to showcase their smart wearable products.
Acquihire
– Titan Company Limited completed the acquihire of a Hyderabad based
technology and wearables company, HUG Innovations. The 23-memaer team
will form the Hyderabad Development Centre and help with the right
expertise in hardware, firmware, software and cloud technology. Titan
also gets an advantage to access their consumer platform and IPs that
are extremely relevant in the company’s wearable journey. Raj Neravati,
the founder of HUG Innovations has been appointed as the AVP and Head of
Technology for Wearables, Titan Company Limited.
The new Titan Connected X
– Titan furthered its smart play with the launch of a new full-touch
smart watch ‘Titan Connected X’ in India. It is available in 3 variants
and loaded with 13 tech features. The product will be available in all
leading Titan stores in March 2020. The watch boasts of features like a
1.2" Full color touch screen with analogue hands, activity
tracking, heart rate monitoring, find phone, camera control, sleep
tracking, weather, calendar alerts and customizable watch faces, music
and selfie control on the go.
Speaking
on the occasion, S Ravi Kant, CEO, Watches and Wearables Business,
Titan Company Limited said, “With the launch of our latest product,
Titan Connected X and the creation of the Hyderabad Development Centre
we have strengthened our play in the wearables journey. This comes at a
time when India is now the third largest country in the world for
wearables and Titan the second largest wearables company in the
country. The creation of the Hyderabad Development Centre is a big move
in the direction of building our technology expertise and consumer
platform, combining it with our existing strengths of consumer
insighting, design and marketing.
He

launch of Titan Connected X, we take another leap by adding to our
portfolio a full touch smart watch with analog hands. This reinforces
