Margdarshan (Share and Mentor Institutions) scheme is an initiative by  the 

ALL India Council for Technical Education (AICTE)

Margdarshan (Share and Mentor Institutions) scheme is an initiative by  the ALL India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) designed to  implement the ‘Hub and Spoke’ system. In this scheme, National  
Institute of Technology, Tiruchirappalli has been granted the status  of ‘Mentor’ Institute to serve as the hub to guide and disseminate  knowledge to the Mentee Institutions as spoke. The purpose of the  scheme is to conduct programmes like faculty development programmes,  three-day national level workshops, guest lectures and other  activities for the technical upliftment of the member Institutions in  terms of teaching learning process. In this regard, the Council has  sanctioned a grant of Rs.30.00 lakhs under this project for the duration of 3 years.

The Mentor Institute has identified fourteen accredited technical  institutions for this programme. As a part of the formal launch of the  scheme, workshop on the ‘Implementation of Margdarshan scheme (AICTE)  
for Mentee institutions’ was conducted on 30th November 2018. Dr. N.  Sivakumaran, Chief Coordinator and Dr. G. SaravanaIlango,  Co-Coordinator briefed about the Margdarshan scheme and its  implementation to the principals, senior professors of the Mentee  institutions. 

Dr. Mini Shaji Thomas, Director, NIT-T addressed the  gathering and mentioned the endeavour to contribute towards the  improvement of technical education. The Director added that this  scheme will help to motivate the students to come up with innovative  ideas and projects and widen the exposure to the prototype development  on enhanced educational standards and research aptitude. This also  facilitates to enhance the lateral thinking and attitude, and to  improve the communication skills and self-confidence among the  faculties and students. The workshop eased the interaction between the  Mentee Institutions and NIT-T regarding the comprehensive objectives  of the programme, project guidelines, expected Institutions’  networking outcomes 
and the feedback on Mentee-Mentor expectations.

Laddu a new Bilingual film in Tamil & Malayalam

“LADDU” is a new Tamil-Malayalam bilingual film, produced by Crystal Creations Amutha Anand, co-produced by Iris Productions P. Radhakrishnan.

The bilingual film is directed by Vajravel Anand. He worked as an Editor to “Iyakkunar Sigaram” K.Balachander. Actor Guna Babu acts in the leading role. He acted in character oriented roles in films such as Irumbuthirai, Tamizh Padam2, Theeran Adhigaram Ondru, Kaali, etc.  Adding to it, He acted in prominent roles in films like Kedi (a) Karuppu Durai, Panjaraasharam and Super Duper. Actress Swetha acts as a Leading lady. Other important Children actors are Visveshwaran, Vigneshwaran.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Whatever we teach to the children, must be done in a kind way is what this film says. How a single Father grows his twin children who lost their mother is the core plot. What trouble the father faces, and the problems surrounding the situation is told in an interesting and entertaining way.

Laddu’s shoot started with a Pooja in Chennai today morning. Shooting is planned for a single schedule of 35 days in hogenakkal and Thiruvananthapuram.

Laddu will release as a bilingual in Tamil and Malayalam.

Leadership development for higher Education institutions

 Leadership development for higher Education institutions organised by NIT Tiruchirappalli Co organized with NTU,Singapore and IIIT Sri City sponsored by MHRD-LEAP

Excellence in higher education achieved through research and  innovation is the hallmark of highly successful economies of the  world. India is now one of the top few large economies of the world  mainly due to the importance given to higher education. However, we  are yet to attain world-class excellence and thereby feature among the  best institutions of the world. A transformational change is necessary to propel some of the Indian higher educational organizations to the  top, a change that is likely to be catalyzed via visionary leadership.  
Recognizing this need, the Ministry of Human Resource Development,  Government of India has initiated a Leadership for Academicians  Program (LEAP) which seeks to create visionary leaders for the  national higher education system. 

Leadership for Academicians  Programme (LEAP) is a unique, important and timely initiative to equip  senior faculty members with to take up leadership roles in existing  and new institutions. The program is to be delivered roughly two-weeks  in India and a one-week long program in a leading foreign institution.  The entire program expenses including foreign travel is sponsored by  MHRD.

NIT Trichy is the only NIT among 15top institutions selected by MHRD  to conduct the LEAP program in February 2019. Nanyang Technological  University, one of the top 12 universities of the world is the  international partner. IIIT Sri City is co-organizing this program.  The potential participants of the program are Professors with  
sufficient years of experience and who are likely to be the next  generation of leaders for our institutions of higher education.

In addition to providing required insights on emerging international  and national contexts of technical education and necessary learning  for taking up leadership roles participants shall have a unique  opportunity to carry out a project on chosen themes of institutional administration under the mentor ship of experts from India and  
Singapore. Comprehensive feedback shall also to participants  highlighting their strengths and areas of improvement.

The programme is broadly divided into the following themes: 
♦  Visioning, Goal Setting and Strategizing ♦ Teaching & Learning 
♦  Research and Industry Collaboration ♦ People Management ♦ Financial  Management 
♦ Internationalization and Global positioning 
♦ Project and  Operations Management ♦ Societal Engagement

The programme will be delivered through a participative learning mode. It will cover discussions, exercises, case analysis, group work, field  visits etc. As part of programme methodology, it is proposed to have  
outbound activities and field visits for experiential and  reflection-based learning so that the collective learning is  
significantly achieved. The resource persons will be highly-recognized  academic leaders, entrepreneurs, professional trainers and industry leaders.

Honda 2Wheelers India drives Skill India Mission in Tamil Nadu

Promotes skill development in the state with second ITI tie-up within a single month

Contributing towards skill development of youth, Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India Pvt. Ltd. today announced its second ITI-alliance in Tamil Nadu for uplifting educational standards of the students with industry specific technical skills.

Earlier this month, Honda inaugurated its first alliance in the state with ITI Chengalpattu, Chennai. Taking the initiative further, Honda in partnership with Industrial Training Institute (ITI), Madurai will empower local youth with technical knowledge and practical learning.

The MOU exchange with ITI Madurai was done in the august presence of Mr. C Ravichandran- Regional Joint Director of Training, Madurai, senior dignitaries of ITI Madurai and Honda 2Wheelers in the inauguration ceremony.

According to the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed with Directorate of Training and Technical Education (DTTE) Tamil Nadu, Honda will provide units of two-wheelers to each institute. Additionally, the company will also set up ‘Honda Skill Enhancement Centre’ in partnership with ITI. This will provide authentic platform to students for practising trade specific skills on various aspects of vehicle maintenance and repair.

Speaking on the tie-up, Mr Pradeep Pandey, Senior Vice President, Customer Service, Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India Pvt. Ltd. said “Honda’s MoU with DTTE, Tamil Nadu is a step towards building the future of students striving to gain industry relevant skills. We inaugurated our ITI-tie up in Chennai earlier this month and now our alliance with ITI, Madurai takes us ahead towards Skill India Mission. In the longer run, the demand for technical skilled manpower is going to rise with the automotive industry on the threshold of a paradigm shift i.e. BS VI emission norms. This initiative of Honda will not just increase the educational standards of the students but also cater the industry with skilled manpower.”

In Tamil Nadu, the ITI-tie ups are expected to benefit over 350 students in a single year. On the completion of training, Honda will also provide recruitment opportunities to candidates at Honda dealerships.

கதாநாயகியாக கல்யாணி பிரியதர்ஷன் நடிக்கிறார். இவர் பிரபல இயக்குனர் பிரியதர்ஷனின் மகள் என்பது குறிப்பிடத்தக்கது.

She also addressed the gathering of renowned dignitaries speaking about Jeppiaar group of Institutions & it’s philosophy at the Palace in London.
