Velammal Nexus congratulates the students who excelled in the All India JEE MAIN 2021exams in the open category.

Miss P R K Amizhthini clinched AIR 21, Master Kirubhakaran S secured AIR 36, Master Sachin Sagar SA  with AIR 47 and Miss Namritha ND with AIR 78, the list continues in B.E., B.Tech, and B. Planning. The students have outperformed in the All India exams 2021.

The V-Star program was instrumental wherein,  94 percent students qualified for JEE Advance and 88 percent secured seats getting ranks in NIT. These results endorse Velammal's quality education programs.

Velammal Nexus in association with Lamb Tail Club has organised a Virtual Summer Camp 2021 from 20th May, 2021 to 3rd June, 2021 by eminent International Trainers for kids to be engaged, energized and explore from the comfort zone of their homes.

This camp has taken a digital platform to provide diverse courses tailored for the age group 5 to 7 years and 8 to 14 years which meets the passion and interest of the students as every session is inclusive and interactive, creating a social outlet for kids.

All participants will receive E - Certificates.

Highlighting the benefits of the camp courses like Art & Craft and Origami is to improve their creativity and concentration. Karate & Fitness and Yoga offers a complete full body workout with overall health and fitness. Science Experiment is designed to give best hands on science to improve their critical thinking. Rubik's Cube and Chess  is organised to improve patience, puzzle solving skills and visual memory. Vocabulary building to expand their knowledge of words to provide unlimited access to language skills. As the need of the hour, the good touch and the bad touch session would help the children to sensitize about the same in a very friendly way.

In a nutshell, this camp is all about experience and exploration through hands on activities, recharging the young minds.

Velammal Nexus hosted Juke Box - Live Musical Nights by Miss. Nithyashree, Playback singer on 17th May, 2021 in the five-day musical treat scheduled from 17th May, 2021 to 21st May, 2021 at 6pm everyday.

Miss. Nithyashree captivated the viewers by singing songs of their choice during the musical event with her mesmerizing voice and also interacted with them. 

Several thousands  of viewers viewed this musical show which was live streamed on Velammal Nexus YouTube channel.

Many more performances are expected ahead in the days to come by popular reality show playback singers Hrithik, Praniti, Uthara Unnikrishnan, Saindhavi and Priyanka as Velammal Nexus takes this opportunity to keep up the spirit of people  during the pandemic.

இதனையொட்டி நடைபெற்ற பாராட்டு  விழாவில், அவருக்கு வெள்ளிப் பதக்கம், கேடயம் மற்றும் சான்றிதழ் வழங்கிப் பாராட்டப்பட்டார்.

This event is slated to be held on 6th March, 2021 from 6:30pm onwards at Rani Seethai Hall, Chennai.

A few to mention, Mrs. Pappammal - Padma Shri awardee..103 year old organic farmer from Coimbatore, Ms. Lakshmi Krishnan - 93 years old INA freedom fighter, Ms. Urvashi - Queen of Tamil cinema and many more, whose journey of determination and triumph has set an example and will inspire generations.

This  star-studded evening will witness several thousand spectators to cheer and appreciate the constellations of women achievers for their dynamic achievements.

 Miss Shreshta Manikandan, Std 8, the young writer of Velammal Vidyalaya, Mel Ayanambakkam (Annexure), took part in Katha Utsav 2020, a national level literary event conducted by Katha India recently.

The Katha Young Writers'
workshop culminating in the Katha Utsav, is one of India’s biggest literary event for young writers.

Velammal feels proud to announce that our young writer has been awarded with Katha National Writers’ Workshop Certificate and her story will be published in Kathas digital platform shortly.

Christmas celebrations at Velammal Nexus was live streamed at the Velammal Nexus You Tube channel on 25th December, 2020 in all its joy and happiness.

The zest of the amazing festival geared up with colours of fun and fervour. The Christmas Carol sung by the choir sent the Christmas cheer all around which was followed by an enthralling dance to the beat of jingle bells by the students dressed up in the theme of Santa world.

The skit depicted the spirit of caring and sharing. Leaving no stone unturned to sprinkle the magic of Christmas, the eminent guests Shri Padmasingh Isaac, Shri Harris Jayaraj, Dr. VG Santhosam and Rev. Dr. V. John Selvaraj graced the occasion.

The festive spirit was witnessed by several thousands of viewers.

Digital Margazhi Utsav 2020 organized by Velammal Main School, Mogappair Campus leads off with music and magic at the Velammal Nexus YouTube channel live streamed from 6pm to 7pm on 23rd December, 2020.

Smt. S.Mahathi, popular Carnatic musician, playback singer and a two-time winner of Tamilnadu State Film Award for Best Female Playback Singer enthralled the one hour concert that was simply mesmerizing, taking the viewers to the realm of musical ecstasy as the wing of her melody echoed the evening with several compositions offering a treat of multiple charm.

The first day of the Margazhi Utsav grabbed several thousands of viewers. Many more performances ahead in the days to come.

Velammal Nexus congratulates the students who excelled at the 25th PSG Tech Talent Test 2020 conducted recently.

*Master Karthick A,* Std X of Velammal Vidyalaya Paruthipattu Campus grabbed the State 4th rank and *Master Pranav Raghuram,* Std X of Velammal Vidyalaya Mel Ayanambakkam secured State 8th rank.

PSG Tech Talent Test 2020 was conducted by PSG Tech Alumini Association, Coimbatore in the online mode where 122 schools across Tamilnadu participated.

 LIVE KUBUDO SESSIONS ON WOMEN SAFETY ORGANISED AT VELAMMAL

Empowering sessions with Kubudo techniques on 'Women Safety' by Dr. Kubudo A.S. Krishnamurthy was hosted live by Velammal Nexus on 19th and 20th November, 2020.

 

The sessions were power packed by simple techniques of self defence in which blocking techniques like how to block and attack or choke and attack were clearly demonstrated. Martial art Kubudo empowers and builds confidence in women to face any dangerous situation.

Several thousands of viewers witnessed the live Kubudo sessions at the Velammal Nexus YouTube channel.

A tribute to Legendary Sing SPB

 As a tribute to the legendary singer SP Balasubrahmanyam (SPB), Velammal Nexus will stream a live musical concert "Issaiya Malarvain" on Nov 1 (Sunday) at 6 p.m. Singers of 'Super singer' fame Sai Sharan, Santhosh, Deepak, Maalavika, Soundarya and Praniti will perform for an hour in remembrance of this great Indian musician and playback singer, who breathed his last on Sept 25.

Velammal Nexus celebrated Hindi Diwas virtually on 13th September, 2020, Sunday at 5:30pm in Velammal Nexus YouTube channel, to mark the importance of the country's most widely spoken language Hindi.

The celebration was presided by Shri L Naveen Kumar Gupta, Hindi Translator at Govt. of India, Ministry of Defence, Tamilnadu. Speaking during the occasion he gave an insight on Atmanirbhar Bharat and importance of Hindi.

The viewers were oriented about the importance of Hindi language and celebrating this day each year helps in sustaining traditional values and glorifying them to reinforce the importance of language.

Students performed group songs, dances and gave speeches that enthralled the celebration.

The event concluded on a positive note portraying that the official language Hindi depicts culture and keeps people connected.

not only to commemorate the Birth Anniversary of the the iconic scholar Dr Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan on 5th September 2020, but also shower gratitude & appreciation on the heroes of the students, the teachers of Velammal Nexus Schools. 

The Management conveyed its profound gratitude to every teacher who were at the forefront of adapting to the changes that covid-19 pandemic has forced them to take up. TheVirtual Teachers' Day celebration included the renowned personalities Mr Mayilswamy Annadurai, Vice President, Tamil NaduState council for Science and Technology & Mr Samuthiraikani, Indian film actor and Versatile Director who graced the occasion on the memorable day. Their vibrant speech and wishes inspired teachers to proceed the profession passionately. 

The touching note of appreciation and wishes from the students left the teachers moved.The students council expressed their gratitude by showcasing a beautiful presentation to commemorate their relentless service.The heartening speech of beloved Senior Principal of the Nexus group of school ,Mrs Jayanthi Rajagopalan, memorable wishes from  Passionate Principal
Mrs Shyamala Subbu ,reveling wishes from the other administrators of the group inspired the teachers.

Emphasising the importance of physical activity especially during this pandemic Velammal conducted 'Dance to stay fit, Zest Zumba' with expert Zumba instructors Ms. Premalatha and Ms.Vanga Mansa.

It was live streamed recently  in our YouTube channel Velammal Nexus,  which attracted several thousands  of viewers.

As a relaxation technique,  these Zumba dance workout sessions were so well- designed that students could perform them in small spaces without equipments, which helped them feel better as a stress buster.
