நடிகர் அருண்பாண்டியன்    தயாரிப்பில் அவரது மகள் கீர்த்தி பாண்டியன் நடிப்பில் இயக்குநர்  கோகுல் இயக்கி இருக்கும் படம் அன்பிற்கினியாள். இப்படத்தில் அருண்பாண்டியன் முக்கிய பாத்திரத்தில் நடிக்கவும் செய்துள்ளார்.  வரும் மார்ச் மாதம் 5-ஆம் தேதி வெளியாக இருக்கும் இப்படம் இன்று பத்திரிகையாளர்களுக்கு  பிரத்யேகமாக திரையிடப்பட்டது. திரையிடல் நிறைவடைந்த பின் படக்குழுவினர் பேசினார்கள்..

நடிகர் அருண்பாண்டியன் பேசும்போது,

"அனைவருக்கும் அன்பு கலந்த வணக்கம். அன்பிற்கினியாள் படம் உங்களுக்குப் பிடித்திருக்கும் என உறுதியாக நம்புகிறேன்.  இந்தப்படத்தை நாங்கள் சீக்கிரமாகவே முடித்துவிட்டோம். கொரோனா காரணமாக ரிலீஸ் பண்ண தாமதம். நான் 18 ஆண்டுகளுக்குப் பின்  இந்தப்படத்தில் நடித்துள்ளேன்.  என் மகளோடு நடித்தது நல்ல அனுபவம். எனக்குள் ஒரு நடிகன் இருக்கிறான் என்ற நம்பிக்கையை இந்தப்படம் ஏற்படுத்தியுள்ளது. இந்தப்படத்திற்கு உயிர் கொடுத்தவர் மியூசிக் டைரக்டர் ஜாவித். மிக சிறப்பாக உழைத்துள்ளார். இந்தப்படத்தில் வாழ்ந்தது போன்ற ஓர் உணர்வு. இந்தப்படத்தின் கேரக்டர் போல கிடைத்தால் தொடர்ந்து நிச்சயமாக நடிப்பேன்.  ஒரு நல்லபடத்தை எடுத்துள்ளோம். படத்திற்கு  மக்கள் அனைவரும் ஆதரவு தரவேண்டுமென்று கேட்டுக்கொள்கிறேன்" என்றார்

இயக்குநர் கோகுல் பேசியதாவது,

"இந்தப்படம் எனக்கு ஒரு புது ஜானராக இருக்கும் என நினைத்து செய்தேன். அருண்பாண்டியன் சார் இந்தப்படத்தின் மலையாள வெர்சனை காண்பித்து டயலாக் எழுதச்  சொன்னார். படம் பார்த்து முடித்ததும் எனக்கு பிடித்துப்போனதால் .நான் அருண்பாண்டியன் சாரிடம்  படத்தை நானே செய்கிறேன் என்று வாய்ப்பைக் கேட்டுப் பெற்றுக் கொண்டேன்.  கீர்த்தி பாண்டியன் இந்தப்படத்தில் சிறப்பாக நடித்துள்ளார். அவரின்  நடிப்பு  இந்தப்படத்தைத் தூக்கிப்பிடித்திருக்கிறது.  எங்களுக்கு இந்தப்படம்  வெற்றி பெறும் என்பதில்   சந்தேகமே இல்லை.  ஸ்பாட்டிலே அவர் நிறையமுறை கைத்தட்டல் வாங்கினார். அருண்பாண்டியன் சார் மிக சிறப்பான உழைப்பைக் கொடுத்து நடித்தார். ஜாவித் நான் வேலை செய்த இசை அமைப்பாளர்களிலே ஒன் ஆப் த பெஸ்ட் இசை அமைப்பாளர். இந்தப்படத்தில் பின்னணி இசை மற்றும் பாடல்கள் சிறப்பாக வந்திருக்கின்றன. படத்தில் எல்லாப்பாடல்களையும் லலித் ஆனந்த் நன்றாக எழுதியிருக்கிறார். மீடியா எப்போதும் நல்லபடங்களை  மக்களிடம் கொண்டு சேர்க்க தவறியதே இல்லை.  இந்தப்படத்தையும் மக்களிடம் மீடியா சரியாக கொண்டு சேர்க்கும் என்று நம்புகிறேன். அனைவருக்கும் நன்றி " என்றார்

சக்தி பிலிம்பேக்டரி சக்திவேலன் பேசியதாவது, 

"நல்ல படங்களுக்கு ஆடியன்ஸ் தியேட்டருக்கு வருகிறார்கள் என்றால் அதற்கான காரணம் மீடியா தான். உங்களின் எழுத்தின் மூலமாக இந்தப்படத்திற்கு உயிர் கொடுக்க வேண்டும் என்று அன்போடு கேட்டுக்கொள்கிறேன்" என்றார்

"இந்தப்படத்தை மிக அன்போடு எடுத்திருக்கோம். இந்தப்படத்தின் பர்ஸ்ட் லுக்கில் இருந்து எங்களுக்கு நல்ல வரவேற்பை கொடுத்து வரும் அனைவருக்கும் நன்றி. மேலும் படம் ப்ரீசரில் ஷுட் பண்ணும் போது நிறைய சவால்களைச் சந்தித்தோம். அதற்கான நல்ல  ரிசல்ட்டை மக்கள் கொடுப்பார்கள் என்று நம்புகிறோம்" என்றார்.

நடிகர் பிரவின் பேசியதாவது, 

"எனக்கு இந்தப்படம் தான் என் கரியரின் ஆரம்பம். எனக்கு வாய்ப்பளித்த அருண்பாண்டியன் சாருக்கும் கோகுல் சாருக்கும் மிக்க நன்றி. படத்தை நல்லபடியாக மக்களிடம் கொண்டு சேர்க்க வேண்டும் என்று உங்களை கேட்டுக்கொள்கிறேன். கீர்த்தி பாண்டியன் படத்தில் மிக சிறப்பாக நடித்துள்ளார். அனைவருக்கும் நன்றி" என்றார்

 *It's Confirmed: Ajay Devgn to begin shoot of Gangubai Kathiawadi from tomorrow!*

The recent teaser launch of Gangubai Kathiawadi has created massive buzz and much anticipation for the film. Sanjay Leela Bhansali has yet again given Indian Cinema a powerful big screen character of Gangubai, portrayed by Alia Bhatt, whose performance in the teaser has left everyone spellbound. 

After much speculation, it is confirmed that Ajay Devgn will be seen playing a significant role in this stem-winding story.

Marking Ajay Devgn and Alia's first film together, Gangubai Kathiawadi also celebrates the reunion of the superstar and Sanjay Leela Bhansali after 22 years. Their earlier outing was the iconic Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam.

Ajay Devgn will join the Gangubai Kathiawadi team tomorrow, 27th February at the grand set which has been created in Mumbai.

"WALKING/TALKING STRAWBERRY ICECREAM” SHOOTING COMMENCES WITH POOJA 

Rowdy Pictures has produced and presented films like Rocky and Koozhangal with the latter already winning the acclaims at International film festivals. The shooting of production house’s third outing ‘Walking/Talking Strawberry Ice Cream’ commenced this morning with a ritual ceremony. Vinayak, an associate of Director Vignesh Shivan in Naanum Rowdy Dhaan and Thaana Sendha Kootam makes his directorial debut with this film, which is a romantic entertainer. Soorarai Pottru fame KK is playing the lead role and playback singer Jonita Gandhi makes her onscreen debut with this film with a few more interesting actors and talents to join.

The music director of the film is yet to be finalized. C.H. Sai (Former assistant to Rathnavelu) is handling cinematography and Kamalnathan is the art director. Major portions of the film will be shot in and around Chennai.

·         The Bank projects Rs. 7 lac crore lending in the home loan segment by FY 2024

·         The Home loan portfolio of the Bank has grown by 5 times in the last decade

·         On average, the Bank on-boards 1000 home loan customers every day

·         The Bank offers home loans starting at 6.80% per annum

·         Missed call facility for home loan inquiries

·         Rs. 2 lakh home loans sanctioned under PMAY

Maintaining its leadership in the home loan segment intact, the State Bank of India (SBI) has reached another landmark by crossing the Rs. 5 trillion (5 Lakh crore) mark in its home loan business. The bank has set its sight on achieving a home loan AUM of Rs. 7 trillion by FY 2024.

The Real Estate and Housing Business unit of SBI has grown 5 times in the last 10 years with an AUM of Rs. 89000 crore in 2011 to Rs. 5 trillion in 2021. Despite a massive setback to the real estate sector triggered by pandemic-induced lockdown, the REHBU vertical registered unparalleled growth in the home loan business. SBI witnessed spectacular growth in Home loans in December 2020 with the highest sourcing, sanctions, disbursements, and growth that the bank had ever registered. The Bank has also launched a new facility for new home loan customers who can get all information on home loans by giving a missed call on 7208933140.

Dinesh Khara, Chairman, SBI said, “It is a momentous achievement for State Bank of India. This extraordinary feat is a testament to customers’ continuous trust in the bank. We feel that combining technology with personalized service is the key in the current scenario. The bank is also working on various digital initiatives to improve the efficiencies in home loan delivery including a unique integrated platform Retail Loan Management System (RLMS) which will provide an end-to-end digital solution. We are also happy to express that SBI has become the market leader in home loans by adopting a focused approach and acknowledging it as a national priority. We have always treated home loans as a growth driver for the nation and not just as mere transactions. We, at SBI, will continue focusing on enhancing customer delight that will in-turn enable the bank to scale newer heights.”

SBI is making a continuous effort to make affordable housing conveniently accessible to customers with dreams of owning their desired home. The bank offers home loan customized to suit the requirement of individuals with home loans such as Regular Home Loan, SBI Privilege Home Loan for government employees, SBI Shaurya Home Loan for army and defense personnel, SBI MaxGain Home Loan, SBI Smart Home, Top-up Loan for existing customers, SBI NRI Home Loan, SBI FlexiPay Home Loan for a loan of the higher amount and SBI HerGhar Home Loan for women.

SBI is also the only bank designated by MoHUA (Ministry of Housing and Urban Development) as the Central Nodal Agency (CNA) for processing Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY) subsidy. To support Govt’s flagship program of ‘Housing for all by 2022’, SBI has been continuously extending home loans under PMAY and has sanctioned 1,94,582 home loans as of December 2020.

With interest starting as low as 6.80% per annum, SBI commands a market share of 34% in the home loan segment. On average, the bank onboards around 1000 home loan customers per day that signifies SBI’s commitment towards affordable housing. SBI has also completely waived the processing fee till March 2021for customers availing home loans in SBI approved projects. The Bank is also working on themes like focused development of the Home Loan business, refined analytics for boosting growth, easing home loan journey for customers, and post disbursal engagement with home loan customers.

Going forward, SBI is also looking at implementing AI, Cloud, Blockchain, machine learning which can play a pivotal role in propelling not only the home loan business of the bank but also other businesses. The bank is gearing up to initiate a co-lending model for home loans which will help boost SBI’s footprints in the unorganized sector. With the use of cutting-edge technology, a vast network of branches, dedicated to Central Processing Centers (CPCs) in 215 centers, bank’s digital and lifestyle platform, YONO, and other enablers, SBI has hit Rs. 5 trillion marks in the home loan business.

SBI is also continuously focusing on strengthening collaboration with builders so that it can offer more choices of homes to home buyers. The bank is consistently ingraining the latest technology into its operational and delivery platforms to make the home loan journey smoother for customers.

Having withstood all downturns, SBI’s home loan market share has been steadily increasing. Moreover, this segment has the lowest default rate indicating excellent asset quality and thereby contributing handsomely to the Bank’s income. SBI forayed into the home loan business in 2004 with a total portfolio of Rs. 17000 crore. A separate Real Estate and Housing Business Unit (REHBU) came into being in 2012 with a total portfolio of Rs. 1 lakh crore. SBI became the market leader in the home loan segment in FY 2014, and since then has continued to take rapid strides in this business segment culminating in the achievement of the Rs. 5 trillion milestones in January 2021.

President Biden’s Envoy, John Kerry says

 

• India is on the path of growth, and this growth needs to be as green as possible
• Aside from rapid adoption of technologies to combat climate change, green growth also calls for certain alternate measures like resource efficiency and effective waste management

As countries prepare to negotiate the acceleration of climate action at 26th Conference of the Parties (COP26) in Glasgow, it needs to raise ambition towards achieving net zero emissions, said Mr John Forbes Kerry, United States Special Presidential Envoy for Climate at the World Sustainable Development Summit (WSDS) 2021. Mr Kerry participated in a High-Level Roundtable on ‘Rebooting Green Growth’ along with Dr S Jaishankar, Hon’ble Minister of External Affairs, Government of India, Mr Mohammed Nasheed, Speaker of the People’s Majlis, Republic of Maldives, The Rt Hon Lord Zac Goldsmith, Minister for Pacific and the Environment at the FCDO, UK, Ms Amina Mohammad, Deputy Secretary General, United Nations, and Dr Ajay Mathur, Director General, TERI

 

The roundtable aimed to steer discussions towards strengthening commitment to maximizing renewable energy, enhancing capacity to deal with the changing climate, and creating financial flows to help enable these actions. 

 Dr S Jaishankar, Hon’ble Minister of External Affairs, Government of India said, “Climate change is a great challenge and India has managed through it quite efficiently. India understands the need for global awareness for behavioural change, including judicious use of resources. Among G20 nations, India has managed the fastest growing energy expansion in the world. It stands committed to meeting both the developmental requirements of its citizens and ensuring to meet the stated commitments to climate action, it is upon the upcoming generations to lead the way in this aspect.”

Speaking about the upcoming COP26 in Glasgow, Mr Kerry said, “We have to come to Glasgow with no excuses. We don’t have time to point fingers. We have to break barriers between us. This is our last best chance to get to net zero.”

“India today is the third largest emitter in the world behind the United States and China. However, India’s down-payment on the Clean Energy transmission has made the country the global market leader in the sector, thanks to which building solar energy in India is cheaper than anywhere else in the world. We must understand that the whole world is in this together and that domestic action of any one country is not enough – We must always consider pushing for climate change together. India has committed to a new Hydrogen mission which makes it one of the incumbent leaders to lead a Hydrogen based economy. Net-zero emission commitment from several countries is a critical move giving us an opportunity to stimulate economic as well as environmental goals. Failure is not an option.”, Mr Kerry added.

 

Emphasising on the need to take the right decisions to repair the damage from the past in the long run, The Rt Hon Lord Zac Goldsmith, Minister for Pacific and the Environment at the FCDO, UK, said, “There is a need to break the link between economic growth and environmental devastation. We know the right thing to be done will create not only a sustainable environment but also create job opportunities aligning recovery packages with the Paris agreement and the Sustainable Development Goals. Green recovery can help create more jobs, short term returns and reduce costs. Solar and Wind are already cheaper than coal – which is one of the most unanticipated changes from the past.”

 

Mr Mohammed Nasheed, Speaker of the People’s Majlis, Republic of Maldives, said, “We are developing prosperity plan in the climate vulnerable forum countries to ensure that the by-product of development is zero carbon. The idea is to bring economists to formulate a development strategy to bring the same economic outcomes – Low Carbon, Less Extraction and More Recycle – These would invoke infrastructure building for adaptation.”

 

Ms Amina Mohammad, Deputy Secretary General, United Nations, said, “2020 was a significant year for climate action. As we commit to zero emission goals until mid-century, we look forward to a lot more positive change in the months and years to come environmentally. In the last eight years, India has seen a fivefold increase in the renewable energy sector. The ISA, in India remarkably continues to deliver on its One Sun One World One Grid commitment efficiently, thereby safeguarding biodiversity and pioneering resilience in the infrastructure sector. India has through its efforts created a major economic opportunity for a resilient nation.”
