Chennai, India, 15th May 2020 – One of Tamil cinema's most eagerly awaited films, Ponmagal Vandhal, featuring actress Jyotika in the lead, will premiere on Amazon Prime on May 29, 2020.

The film, which has an impressive cast including five directors -- K Bhakyaraj, R.Parthiban, Pratap Pothen, Pandiarajan & Thyagarajan -- in important roles, will be the first Indian mainstream film to premiere on an OTT platform.

The film's first look itself had triggered a huge interest among fans and the public and the expectations from the film have only been rising with time.

Written and directed by J.J. Fredrick, the gripping court room drama has been produced by Jyotika & Suriya.

An aspiring writer’s 101 retreat into the life of the protagonist, Ghoomketu is played by Nawazuddin Siddiqui. The movie is a comedy- drama from the viewpoint of an inexperienced writer struggling to make it big in the film industry in Mumbai. On his quest to come up with a great story, he is inspired by day to day mundane life activities. Will his ambition and determination exceed his talents? Or will a corrupt cop, who is on a mission to find Ghoomketu, put a brake on his 30-day escapade?

schedule of Producer Anand Pandit’s mystery thriller!

 Thespian Amitabh Bachchan and his ‘Chehre’ team are all set to travel to Europe next week

 to complete the last shooting schedule of Producer Anand Pandit’s hugely awaited mystery 

thriller.

Uniting Mr Bachchan and Emraan Hashmi onscreen for the first time, Chehre releases on 24^th April in 2020 and is directed by Rummy Jafry.

Emraan is shooting for the film in Delhi till December 7, after which the team will take off for Europe, amidst chilling temperature and abundance of snow!

Producer Anand Pandit confirms, “We will be shooting an action sequence at a Slovakian 

national park and in south Poland beginning December 10. Amit ji will be leading a chase 

sequence. The schedule is spread over eight days with Amit ji also engaging in mild hand-

to-hand combats. We have roped in two in two action directors from Europe to design the 

sequence. We will be filming in unexplored, scenic locations, for which we have taken 

special permission. The temperature will be between minus 5-7 degree Celsius and there 

will be snow, which we are all excited about,”

Mr Pandit also reveals a unique wish that he will request the megastar, which would be a 

most special treat for the Bachchan fans! "On the last day of the schedule, we will request 

Amitji to direct the film’s last scene. It will be a wonderful memory for all of us. We’d really

 like him to do it for us before we call it a wrap!"

The legend extraordinaire Mr Amitabh Bachchan who celebrated his birthday last week has received the most 

heartwarming gesture from his film 'Chehre' producer Anand Pandit. This date is an iconic date for all Indians 

across the country.

Veteran producer Anand Pandit’s friendship with Big B goes a long way back and his love and respect for the actor

are well known within and outside Bollywood circles. For the evergreen actor’s 77th birthday, the producer found 

a unique way to surprise him. Keeping it a surprise right till the D-day, Anand Pandit has got a special video 

collage made with photographs of at least a hundred of the memorable characters portrayed by Amitabh 

Bachchan. The video ends beautifully with iconic photographs morphing into Big B's character look for his 

upcoming film 'Chehre'. This message was played at least 60,000 times in theatres across the country.  

“There is no one like Mr. Bachchan. Even before I met him, I was a dedicated fan and admired his work. When I 

met him and grew to known him, I came to admire the superlative human being that he is. We at Anand Pandit 

Motion Pictures felt that his birthday is the best time to reflect on his incredible body of work and the range of

Producer Anand Pandit will be associating with the megastar by producing the hugely anticipated mystery 

thriller Chehre, a mystery thriller with Amitabh Bachchan and Emraan Hashmi in lead roles. The film is directed 

by Rumi Jaffrey and produced by Anand Pandit Motion Pictures and Saraswati Entertainment Private Limited. 

Releasing in February 2020. Incidentally, Pandit is also working with Abhishek simultaneously in The Big Bull 

which he is producing with Ajay Devgn.

Due to efficient planning and a strategic shoot schedule spearheaded by the makers, the film has completed its shoot in advance, with the post-production stage to begin. The film has already piqued our curiosity with an innovative look of Mr Bachchan, revealed on social media.

Says Producer Anand Pandit, "Yes, we have finished our shoot 4 days earlier than the date we had planned for.
