Nagarjuna’s Acceptance Is First Success, Can’t Imagine Anyone Other Than Dhanush As Deva

Nagarjuna’s Acceptance Is First Success, Can’t Imagine Anyone Other Than Dhanush As Deva: Megastar Chiranjeevi at the Kuberaa blockbuster success meet.

- The character of Deepak opened a new world. Sekhar Kammula created a miracle with Kuberaa: King Nagarjuna.

- Emotion Is The Biggest Grandeur, Kuberaa proved it again: Hero Dhanush.

Superstar Dhanush, King Nagarjuna, and Rashmika Mandanna headline Sekhar Kammula’s latest unanimous blockbuster Kuberaa. Produced by Suniel Narang and Puskur Ram Mohan Rao under SVCLLP in collaboration with Sekhar Kammula’s Amigos Creations Private Limited, the film was made with a high budget and top-notch production values. Released grandly on June 20 in Telugu, Tamil, Hindi, Kannada, and Malayalam, Kuberaa has achieved unanimous blockbuster success with houseful bookings and is running successfully. On this occasion, the makers organized a grand Kuberaa blockbuster success meet, with Megastar Chiranjeevi attending as the chief guest.

At the Kuberaa blockbuster success meet, *Megastar Chiranjeevi* said: “Greetings to all. It feels like my own success meet; that’s the kind of joy I’m experiencing here. Everyone present here is dear to me, and seeing the happiness on their faces makes it feel like my success meet. I didn’t come here as a guest but as one of you, a close friend. I met Nagarjuna garu before this film and asked about Kuberaa. He said he played a different character, with Dhanush in the lead. I asked how he agreed to it, and he said he wanted to do something unique and open new doors, and this film would help achieve that. I watched the movie, and what he said is 100% true. After this film, he will shine for another 40 years, and that’s a fact. Sekhar writing this character and Nagarjuna accepting and performing it is the first success. I can’t imagine anyone but Dhanush as Deva. After watching his character, that’s how I felt. I couldn’t even recognize Dhanush while watching the film; he was so immersed in the role. Kuberaa is not just another film, but it’s an experience. While watching, I felt as though it were all happening in real life. Sekhar Kammula creates cinematic gems and has carved a permanent place in the audience’s hearts. When State Rowdy was being shot, Sekhar met me like a fan. That day, he decided to establish himself in the industry. Today, creating such masterpieces and earning audience appreciation is truly a matter of pride for me. On this silver jubilee year, I congratulate him again. Sekhar’s films feel close to reality. We remember characters like Deva and Deepak.

As Nag said, this film has opened another door for him, and more fantastic characters will come his way. I hope to follow his path too. Everyone in this film has been given justice. Rashmika performed fantastically. I attended her first film’s function as a guest, and now she’s not just a national but an international crush. The intensity in her character was evident in this film. Her character, Sameera, reminded me of Soundarya in Choodalani Vundi. The transformation of her character was brilliant. The character of Deva touched the heart. No one but Dhanush could have played it. With such a star image, only Dhanush in India could take on such a role so naturally. He deserves the Best Actor award for this film, and I offer my advance congratulations. If he doesn’t get it, there’s no meaning to the National Award. If he wins, it will be a matter of pride for everyone. Suniel’s father, Narayana Das, was a very honest person. There’s no one as honest in the business as him. It’s heartwarming to see Suniel and the third generation, Jahnavi, carrying forward his legacy. I’ll do a film with Jahnavi (laughs). I wish them many more successful films like Kuberaa. DOP Niketh did a fantastic job; the film looks rich. Seeing the youngsters here is delightful. The industry needs such youngsters to move forward. I wish the industry thrives with this energy. Devi Sri Prasad is like my son. He gave amazing albums during my comeback. His energy keeps growing, and the nation celebrates him. The film is very musical, and Devi’s re-recording was phenomenal. The song about the mother reminded me of Neeru Neeru from Khaidi No. 150. I congratulate everyone involved in this film by name. We need more films like this. In times when bringing audiences to theatres is a challenge, Kuberaa has proven that with good content and human emotions, audiences will come. This credit goes to Sekhar Kammula. My heartfelt wishes to the team. Love you all.”

*King Nagarjuna* said: “Greetings to all. Thank you to my brother, Padma Vibhushan Megastar Chiranjeevi garu. The entire industry loves him dearly. When Vikram was a big hit, he invited Kamal Haasan to his home and hosted him. When Aamir Khan came from Hindi cinema, he supported him. Be it a small or big film, Chiranjeevi is always there to support, and that’s why everyone loves him. It’s wonderful that he’s here for this event. This is Sekhar Kammula’s film. Making a thriller with human emotions is no ordinary feat, and it worked with this film. In this movie, you don’t see stars but characters like Deepak, Deva, and Sameera. This is Deva’s film, Deepak’s film, Sameera’s film, and Kushboo’s film—it belongs to Sekhar Kammula. Thank you, Sekhar, for teaching me something new about acting (laughs). Every day on this film felt fresh. Chiranjeevi garu told me in the car, ‘You did great job, you became Deepak.’ That’s when I understood Sekhar’s greatness. Thanks to everyone involved by name. Suniel is like a brother, and Ram Mohan and Jahnavi are very sweet people. Niketh gave fantastic work. Devi’s music is phenomenal. The media and audiences loved this film. No one gave it less than a three rating, which is rare. Sekhar created this miracle. I couldn’t recognize Dhanush on set; he was completely Deva. That’s not easy. Rashmika reminded me of Sridevi at times. She looks beautiful in this film. This movie opened a new world for me, and I won’t stop for another 40 years. I love you all.”

*Hero Dhanush* said: “Greetings to all. This is a wonderful day. Every artist waits for such a day, and we must celebrate it. It’s rare for a film to get a unanimous great response, and that happened with this film. We feel fortunate and see this as God’s gift. Thank you to the audiences and fans for embracing this film so grandly. There’s a notion that only action and blasting films work in theatres, but Sekhar Kammula has given new hope. He showed that a heartfelt film can bring audiences to theatres. Emotion is the biggest grandeur; nothing is grander than human emotions. Kuberaa proved it again. This film is doing wonderfully in Tamil. Thanks to everyone involved by name. Seeing the joy on the producer’s face tells you how successful a film is, as my father used to say. Seeing our producers happy gives me great joy. Chiranjeevi garu blessing our team is delightful. This is a mega success. Having him speak in Nagarjuna garu’s presence is a great blessing. Thank you to the media for taking this film to the next level and reaching the audience. Thanks to everyone by name.”

*Director Sekhar Kammula* said: “Chiranjeevi garu is my lucky charm. I’m thrilled he’s here. I met him during my college days, shook his hand, and said I’d direct him. That journey started then and has completed 25 years. I met him recently, and from there, a euphoria began for this film. Chiranjeevi garu never feels like an outsider. I can’t forget the place and stature the audience has given Kuberaa. Thank you to audiences worldwide for embracing this film so grandly. You’ve given immense strength to a filmmaker. Thanks to the media for their amazing praise. This is a film made on a large canvas. Thank you to Nagarjuna garu for accepting the role of Deepak; the response to his performance in theatres is phenomenal. Watching his performance brought tears to my eyes. About Dhanush, one word: God-like performance. Watching Poyiraa Mama gave me goosebumps. My mother watched the film and said it could’ve been 10 minutes longer, but Deva and Deepak were phenomenal. Rashmika performed wonderfully as Sameera. Devi gave amazing music. Shooting in Telugu and Tamil, with re-recording and songs in both languages, is no small task. DOP Niketh gave stunning visuals. Thanks to everyone by name. Narayana Das garu was the first to sign this film. His blessings are with us, wherever he is. Thanks to Suniel, Ram Mohan, and Jahnavi for their support, no matter the budget. Thanks to my Amigos team and direction department by name.”

*Devi Sri Prasad* said: “Greetings to all. Love you, Chiranjeevi garu. He’s the only one who carries a good film on his shoulders and declares it a blockbuster. Thanks to my music team by name. Nandakishore wrote fantastic lyrics; his talent should be recognized. Thanks to Bhaskar Bhatla and Chandrabose garu. Niketh gave stunning visuals. Thanks to everyone involved by name. Producer Suniel Narang is amazing; his studio is always lively. He cleared all payments before the release (laughs). Rashmika did wonderfully as Sameera, and her victories continue. Dhanush accepting this story is a success in itself. This film will get him another National Award. Nag sir is the evergreen Manmadhudu; no one else could’ve played Deepak. Sekhar made a fantastic film, and working with him was a joy. Being part of this film is delightful.”

*Heroine Rashmika Mandanna* said: “Greetings to all. Chiru garu is part of my journey. Thank you, sir. After hearing this story, I decided to surrender to the director on set. I resolved to perform as he directed. The credit for Sameera’s role goes to the director. Getting such a character is my luck. Dhanush garu, Nagarjuna garu, and Sekhar garu are the pillars of this film. Devi took it to another level with his music. Thanks to everyone involved by name.”

*Producer Puskur Ram Mohan* said: “Greetings to all. Thank you to Chiranjeevi garu for attending this event. He always supports good films. He came for Love Story too, and now for Kuberaa, which is delightful. Heartfelt thanks to him.”

*Producer Jahnavi Narang* said: “I first remember my grandfather. This project started with his blessings. It’s thrilling that it became such a big blockbuster. Thank you to Chiranjeevi garu for attending. I believe Kuberaa is a mega blockbuster. Chiranjeevi garu always supports good films. Working with Sekhar garu is like going to school. Devi gave amazing music. Rashmika embodied Sameera. Nagarjuna’s performance as Deepak is a masterclass. Dhanush was phenomenal as Deva. Thanks to everyone involved by name.”

*DOP Niketh Bommi* said: “Greetings to all. All departments worked wonderfully for this film. It’s delightful that Chiranjeevi garu is part of these celebrations. Working with Dhanush garu and Nagarjuna garu was an amazing experience. Thanks to Sekhar garu for giving such a large canvas. The producers supported us greatly. Thanks to everyone involved by name.”

*Art Director Thota Tharani* said: “Everyone worked hard for this film. Nagarjuna garu and Dhanush garu acted wonderfully. Performing in such locations is tough. I’ve done many films with Chiranjeevi garu, and his presence here is delightful. The credit for this film goes to Sekhar garu. Thanks to the producers for making such a wonderful film. Thank you all.”

*Co-writer Chaitanya Pingali* said: “Chiranjeevi garu is my hero. His presence here is delightful. This is Sekhar’s dream, and we worked on it. On set, we called all actors by their character names, and they lived as those characters. Nagarjuna garu, Dhanush garu, and Rashmika garu supported us immensely. Thanks to Sekhar Kammula and everyone involved by name.”

*Lyricist Nandakishore* said: “Greetings to all. Congratulations to the Kuberaa team. Writing songs for this film and getting a great response is delightful. Hearing that the mother’s song reminded people of their mothers was heartwarming. It’s a song on every mother’s lips. Sekhar garu made me write all the songs, and the ideas were his. Thanks to Devi Sri Prasad and all the singers. I never thought I’d see Nagarjuna garu and Dhanush garu in front of me. Thank you all.”

*Lyricist Bhaskarbhatla* said: “Greetings to all. I got the chance to write a great song for this film. The response after the release has been amazing, thanks to the sequence and context in the film. That’s why the song became a huge hit. Working with Sekhar garu was a great experience. I learned patience from him and consider it an honor to work with him. The film’s reach is growing daily, with theatres going houseful. The response is huge. Being part of such a film is delightful.”

The entire film unit attended, and the event was held grandly.
