Veteran journalist, producer, director, and actor Mr. Chithra Lakshmanan, a stalwart of Tamil cinema with over five decades of experience, has announced the launch of the Frame and Fame Awards under his acclaimed YouTube platform, Touring Talkies.  The awards are jointly organised by veteran PROs Mr. Singaravelu, Mr. Riaz K. Ahmed, and Ms. Paras Riyaz as partners.

Addressing the media in Chennai, Mr. Chithra Lakshmanan stated that Frame & Fame was conceived as a meaningful tribute to the film fraternity, emphasising that true recognition and applause hold greater value than commercial success, and that the awards seek to restore dignity and credibility to film honours.

The FRAME & FAME  Awards will be held on January 25, 2026, at Kamarajar Arangam, Chennai, celebrating outstanding achievers across the Indian film industry.

Renowned filmmaker Mr. K. Bhagyaraj will serve as Chairman of the Jury, with Ms. Khushbu Sundar, Mr. Ilavarasu, Mr. Murali Ramasamy, Mr. T. Siva, Mr. R. K. Selvamani, and Mr. R. V. Udayakumar as jury members. The awards will be presented in 50 categories, covering artistes, technicians, and creative professionals, along with select special honours to be announced shortly.

Jury members T. Siva, R.V Udayakumar, K. Bhagyaraj, and R. K. Selvamani, unveiled the trophy and lauded the organisers' integrity and unwavering commitment to cinema, expressing confidence that Frame and Fame will soon emerge as one of the most respected film honours in the country.

Jointly presented by Mr. A. C. Shanmugam, Mr. Ishari K Ganesh, and Mr. Kannan Ravi (Dubai), FRAME & FAME Awards aims to set a new benchmark in film awards through its focus on fairness, credibility, and a sincere celebration of talent.
