Chief General Manager, M/s. Tamilnadu Newsprint and Papers Ltd, Karur receives Institution of Engineer’s best engineer award

As part of Engineer’s day celebrations, The Institution of Engineers, Tiruchirappalli Local Centre honours one Best Engineer in this region every year. For the year 2020, Er. A. Balasubramanian, Chief General Manager (Commercial and Electrical & Instrumentation) of M/s. Tamilnadu Newsprint and Papers Ltd, Karur has been selected as the Best Engineer and the award presentation function was organized on 9 April 21 in a hybrid mode (online and physical).

Dr. N Kumaresan, Chairman, Tiruchirappalli Local Centre presented the Best engineer award 2020 to Er.  A. Balasubramanian. Earlier Dr. Dharmalingam, convenor for this program and past chairman of The Institution of Engineers, Tiruchirappalli Local Centre read out the scroll of honour and presented the same to Er. A. Balasubramanian.

Er. Samidoss, past Chairman, Tiruchirappalli Local Centre and Er. R. Kumar, past Chairman, Tiruchirappalli Local Centre offered felicitations to Er. A. Balasubramanian.  

In his acceptance speech, Er.  Balasubramanian thanked  Tiruchirappalli Local Centre for honouring him with the award. He also expressed his sincere thanks to the management of TNPL and his  team to function effectively which resulted in best results in all fronts. He indicated that The Institution of Engineers, Tiruchirappalli Local Centre is greatly supported by BHEL, the industrial giant and NIT, Trichy the leading educational institution and it functioning as one of the best centres among all other centres.  He  mentioned that the present COVID situation made  us not to have close association in person and greet each other. However he expressed the confidence that with the best vaccination program in India,  which is not there even in many developed countries, India will overcome this pandemic shortly.

Earlier Dr. N Kumaresan, Chairman welcomed the gathering. Er. Anand, Honorary Secretary proposed the vote of thanks. Large number of engineers from many organisations participated.
