India’s first experiential learning store for kids, Color Pencil, has been launched in Sky Hub, Chennai, Kilambakkam.

Created with the aim of making learning joyful and simple for children, the Color Pencil Kids Experiential Learning Store introduces education through experience.

Speaking at the event, founder Narayanan said:

“Teaching children is an art. But today, education is being forced on them. Nowadays many people don’t even like children asking ‘why’. To change that, we created the ‘Joy of Y’ model at Color Pencil. This helps strengthen children’s foundational knowledge. We guarantee strong basics, not that children studying here will automatically enter IIT or score 100 out of 100.”

CEO Meena Chabbria added:

“We are launching many summer special classes here. Diploma-style classes such as Japanese language and origami will be conducted in an entertaining way for kids. There is no separate fee. By purchasing a book worth around ₹400, children can undergo training using it. For the first time in India, we have more than 34 books and a dedicated training model available here. This is India’s first store that sells learning materials exclusively for kids. The store is spread across 3,300 square feet. We plan to open five more stores across India next year. Learning and children’s happiness are the goals of Color Pencil.”

Special guest Vani Bhojan said:

“I’m happy to be part of this event. The moment I walked in, I could see many kids enjoying themselves in the store. I wish this continues successfully.”

Color Pencil brand ambassador Micset Sriram said:

“Congratulations on launching Color Pencil as a major initiative in Chennai. Knowledge and language are essential for a child’s development. Learning them through experience is a wonderful approach. Thank you for appointing me as Color Pencil’s brand ambassador.”
