The makers of Dhanush’s highly anticipated 54th feature film have officially revealed the title as Kara, unveiling a gritty and powerful first look poster in conjunction with the festive celebrations of Pongal, thereby setting the tone for an intense cinematic experience.

Directed by Vignesh Raja, who previously delivered the critically acclaimed blockbuster Por Thozhil, Kara marks his next ambitious venture and his first collaboration with one of Tamil cinema’s most versatile and celebrated performers, Dhanush. The film is produced by Ishari K. Ganesh under his prestigious home banner, Vels Film International, in association with Think Studios, with music composed by GV Prakash Kumar, whose impactful score is expected to further elevate the film’s narrative depth.

The striking first look poster, released across social media platforms, showcases Dhanush in a raw, rugged, and intense avatar against a visually evocative backdrop, offering a compelling glimpse into the film’s dark and gripping world. Accompanied by the intriguing tagline, “Sometimes staying dangerous is the only way to stay alive,” the poster strongly hints at a taut, high-stakes thriller that promises to keep audiences on the edge of their seats.

Kara features a formidable ensemble cast with Dhanush in the lead role, alongside Mamitha Baiju, who is paired opposite him for the first time, marking a fresh on-screen pairing. The film also boasts an impressive supporting cast comprising KS Ravikumar, Jayaram, Suraj Venjaramoodu, Karunas, and Prithvi Pandiarajan, each bringing significant depth and gravitas to the narrative.
