The initiative received an overwhelming response, with thousands of aspiring contestants from across the state stepping forward to share their stories and pursue their dream of entering one of India's biggest reality shows. From students and professionals to homemakers, entrepreneurs and creators, people from every corner of Tamil Nadu embraced the opportunity to turn their dream of entering the Bigg Boss house into reality. 

More than just a new season, Bigg Boss Common Man marks a defining new chapter for the franchise by turning one of the audience's biggest "what ifs" into reality. For years, viewers have watched celebrities take on the Bigg Boss house while imagining how they would play the game if given the opportunity. This season, that dream becomes reality. For the first time, Bigg Boss Tamil opens its doors to everyday people, shifting the spotlight from celebrated personalities to ordinary individuals with extraordinary stories. The journey began a month ago when Vijay Sethupathi invited aspiring contestants from across to audition for the first-ever Bigg Boss: Common Man. Viewers were encouraged to submit audition videos showcasing their personalities and life stories, resulting in an exceptional response from across the state. 

The unprecedented participation paved the way for one of the most rigorous selection processes in the history of the franchise. Beginning with a digital audition, contestants advanced through multiple stages, including the Top 250 Virtual Screenings, Top 100 Shortlisting, and Group Discussions & Direct Interviews, before the field was narrowed to the Top 50 finalists. As the selection enters its final phase, only a handful of contestants remain in the race for a place inside the iconic Bigg Boss house. 

As the excitement builds, Star Vijay and JioHotstar have unveiled a brand-new promo introducing the personalities who will help identify the final housemates. Former Bigg Boss favourites Aari Arjunan, Raju Jeyamohan, and Oviya join the selection process as judges, while Maya Krishnan, the much-loved Season 7 runner-up, takes on the role of host for this unique audition journey. Together, they bring years of Bigg Boss experience and a deep understanding of what it takes to thrive inside the house.
