Further to the filing dated May 7, 2021 and in compliance with Regulation 30 of the SEBI LODR Regulations, we hereby inform you that the Board of Directors of InterGlobe Aviation Limited (the "Company"), at its meeting held today, i.e., May 10, 2021, has approved the raising of funds for an aggregate amount not exceeding INR 3,000 Crores (Indian Rupees Three Thousand Crores)
through an issue of equity shares by way of a Qualified Institutions Placement, in accordance
with the relevant provisions of applicable laws and subject to approval of the Company's
shareholders and receipt of applicable regulatory approvals.

BOC Aviation signs purchase-and-leaseback agreement
with IndiGo for eight new Airbus 320NEO aircraft

 

BOC Aviation Limited (“BOC Aviation” or the “Company”) is pleased to announce that it has signed purchase-and-leaseback agreements with InterGlobe Aviation Ltd. (“IndiGo”) for eight new Airbus A320NEO aircraft. The aircraft will be powered by CFM Leap engines and are scheduled to be delivered in the second half of 2021.

 

Mr. Riyaz Peermohamed, Chief Aircraft Acquisition & Financing Officer, IndiGo, said: “We are pleased to further strengthen our existing relationship with BOC Aviation. The addition of these eight A320 neo aircraft demonstrates our confidence in the future growth of the aviation market in India.”

 

Mr. Robert Martin, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, BOC Aviation, said: “We are delighted to partner once again with IndiGo, India’s largest passenger airline, as we continue to support our airline customers to finance their aircraft deliveries.”

IndiGo announces the appointment of Dr. Venkataramani Sumantran 

as an Independent Director

The Board of Directors of InterGlobe Aviation Limited (IndiGo) is pleased to announce that it has appointed Dr. Venkataramani Sumantran as an Independent Director for a period of 5 years.

Dr. Sumantran, with a rich experience of over 35 years having worked in the USA, Europe and Asia, has been an industry leader, technocrat, academic and author. He is currently Chairman and Managing Director of Celeris Technologies and has held this position since 2014. He is a strategic advisory engaged in multiple domains including automotive, mobility, digital transformation, aerospace, and technology. He serves on several statutory boards and advisory boards in India, Europe and USA. He is also an Adjunct Professor at MISI-Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

Until 2014, he served as Executive Vice-Chairman of Hinduja Automotive, UK, the auto and manufacturing sector holding company of the Hinduja Group as well as Vice Chairman of Ashok Leyland Ltd. He led the group's expansion strategy including sectors such as Light Commercial Vehicles, Construction Equipment, IT, and Emission Technologies. Previously (2001-2005), he held the position of Executive Director of Tata Motors Ltd. and Chief Executive of the Car business during its formative years, working closely with Mr. Ratan Tata. Dr. Sumantran also dedicated 16 years of his career to working with General Motors, starting at the R&D Centre in Detroit and subsequently as Director, Advanced Engineering in GM-Europe.

Reacting to his appointment, Dr. Sumantran said, "I feel privileged to join the Board of Directors of InterGlobe Aviation Limited.
